One. More. Win.

Ugh, I used the same headline when we were on the cusp of the 2010 championship. And while this doesn’t have the same energy or emotion to it, I am greatly looking forward to the Cardinals knocking out the Art Dealers from the 2013 playoffs. Sure, it’s a petty victory. But I’ll be chalking this one up as a W for our side.

First Question: If Puke flips his bat 30 feet in the air when he hits a triple, how far does he throw it when he hits a home run? 20 rows into the lower box seats? Next year is gonna be fun. This clown’s ribs are gonna take a beating in 2014.

Second Question: When did baseball teams decide to just stop scoring runs?

Third Question: Where has fanduel.com been all my life? Me likey…..

Petty victory nothing. Fuck the Dodgers.

Still think Mattingly should have gone Mickey Lolich in this series. I would have respected him above any manager in baseball if he had done the rational thing instead of following protocol.

Puig just needs one more 6 added to his number.

bf, are you saying that some jerk will throw at him or that he deserves to be thrown at? it’s pretty amazing that some people have a problem with him being criticized for hot dogging it but have no problem with him being thrown at for it.

Yes, he’s gonna get thrown at. And I’m fine with that as long as it’s not at his head.
I don’t like that fuck one fuck

but do you think it’s ok throwing at him but not ok giving him shit for what he’ll be thrown at for? if so-weird, very weird.

Well, whatever. Following the rules, he’ll ge thrown at for being a hotdog. He got buzzed on the first pitch he saw tonight. Up near his shoulder. Whether we like it or not doesn’t make a goddamn bit of a difference. I think players getting all bent over this shit is stupid (he looked at me for too long), but when you are the arbiter of the unwritten rule book, some shit gets lost in translation. Some players out there take this shit more seriously than others. I didn’t really like the bowling pin thing Prince and co did, but whatever. 8 months later, Zits soft-tossed a curveball into his ass, and order was restored in the universe. Apparently. I mean, really. Baseball fights are 98% posturing anyway.

Ps. This has nothing to do with Puig’s fielding issues or being benched by his mgr. this is strictly about his hotdogging. Other teams don’t give a flying fuck about his fielding or dogging grounders.

other than totally missing the point, great comments. tell flavor about it, pal. i don’t hate puig, i just think he’s an idiot. and i said almost the exact words you just did about zito and fielder,- and some dumb fucks thought fielder should have gotten it with 98 to the ribs- as if hurting a guy for being stupid is ok. it’s not ok throwing at people- period. i loved dirrrrty but i was among the first, if not the first, to condemn him for thowing at a guys head. not all of these guys are exactly control specialists. and it does matter what the fans think of it- they need to make it known that throwing at people can have terrible results.
what i said about puig and his dogging it was a seperate issue from his stupid ass celebration- i never said that beltran knocked him for that. *i* said it as a general observation- the stupid fuck would get less crap if he acted and played like a professional.
you’ve had a consistent habit of defending objectional comments and jumping on me for finding them offensive, that doesn’t make the arbiter of anything- you and everyone else are free to say what you wish, i’m not stopping you but i have every right to voice my objection to what i find offensive- you are the one trying to be the ‘blog police’.

Right Mike. You have a consistent habit of being an annoying jerk. You don’t tell others that their opinions are stupid. You don’t project your feelings on to others and you aren’t the blog arbiter of decorum.

By the way I have some 10 acre parcels on the moon for sale.

And yes, you do drive people away with your screeds. No one really gave a flying fuck about Zumie’s ‘fascist midwesterners’ comments. You are the one who came unhinged by it. Everyone took it for what it was. A broad generalization.
