A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Road Trip Rambles On….

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on June 8, 2010

Next up, “Sam Lecure”. I do not fear this Sam Lecure. He’s part “Eric Hacker” with a little “Kevin Pucetas” thrown in for taste. Cain deserves a few of these games. After we feast on this fool we face off Judgement Day and find out who are starter will be Wednesday. We know it won’t be Bumgarner who started last night. Does Welly get thrown to the wolves again? Might Iron Head Joe get the call?

As if there was any doubt anymore, Sabean confirmed that Posey is here to stay. Now they can stand another OFer. Time to thank Eli for his service. Or see if there’s a market for Bengie. Either way, 4 catchers is too many…

“you also said he’d hit 35 home runs. Book what?” 4 months to go.

Posey can’t stay here as a first baseman for the rest of the year his d sucks, he’s at least worse than Huff. SOmething has to give. This dude is NOT a first baseman and he’s not hitting for any power at all so it’s not like we can trade his shitty d at first for power at the plate. I love Posey’s bat but it’s nothing more, right now, than bouncing singles through the left side……

I already told you he’ll be taking over for Bengie. Keep your pants on, everything will be fine.

you think Pablo’s still got a shot at 35 bombs, if I keep my pants on they’ll fucking burn my balls……

Is it warm down there? Dreaming of twinnie in a speedo again, are we?

  7. stixwiz said, on June 8, 2010 at 9:25 pm

Sure Twin, Pablo will revert to Panda, but when? Bochy had the brass to bat him 8th the other day. Okay, so that was mostly a message, but a spell batting sixth ain’t gonna hurt his tender little ego. Maybe he is getting too much advise, but the pressure to produce in that sweetspot may apply to him, for the while, every bit much as it applies to Buster.

If you don’t like Posey batting third, how bout Huff? I’m looking at copping that early lead and with Pablo not quite the Panda right now, that’s not happening as much as it might could. Huff is your ultimate, flex-pro. Guy is so much a pro he’d probably don the tools of ignorance if it was asked of him. Not likely to occur any time soon though with 4 catchers around.

Stix: They’ve won 10 of 14, I don’t see why they’d make any big change. But whatever, for all the palaver to the contrary, you guys love to fuck with the LU. Go for it. Bat him where you want.

Bochy is doing just fine with the line ups. I’ll leave it to him, you guys see what Snarkk and Jed think…

POTD is bullshit passive-aggressive nonsense from Flavor… like the snarky posts when Torres was struggling… choosing a post just because it goes after me is totally fucked.

Hey, who’s the dude who was wincing aloud when Whiteside was getting hits right and left? And WE are all wishing Molina tanks? Too funny, that is….

  13. zumarust said, on June 8, 2010 at 11:34 pm

If the Giants were planning on bringing Bum up for the Orioles game, are things complicated now by his getting tossed from his most recent start? Would the Giants feel like bringing him up this soon after his outburst would be like rewarding him for bad behavior?

  14. twinfan said, on June 8, 2010 at 11:42 pm

“Hey, who’s the dude who was wincing aloud when Whiteside was getting hits right and left?” Never happened. I’ve pointed out the idiocy of him being here and the suckitude that has been his “career” but I dance in the halls when he gets a hit. It’s FUNNY. But Whiteside and Molina in the same conversation is the real fucking joke.

Interesting article saying the real All Star outfield should be:
    http://tinyurl.com/2ey8ag5

    LF Josh Willingham
    CF Andres Torres
    RF Jason Heyward

That’s based on Wins Above Replacement which measures total value, in the field and at the plate. That’s largely thanks to an incredible 62.2 UZR/150 in center and 46.9 in left for Torres. Those are runs saved per 150 games over the average at his position. Even with the very occasional misplay largely because he gets to so many balls, he has been perhaps the best defensive outfielder in the game this year and certainly one of the few real difference makers. He and Uribe are incredible stories, really. One or both of them should but won’t go to the AS game…
