A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Who’s Gonna Hit?

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on June 28, 2010

We’re in sort of a dangerous part of the season right now, all teams go through it. We don’t have anyone hot right now, no one is carrying the team. At different times during the season it’s been Uribe, Torres, Huff, Franchez….hell, even Rowand. But right now it’s a bunch of guys looking around at each other waiting for something to happen. Finally we’re seeing the Dodgers pitching staff do what I thought they would do last year: suck. In our yard against this staff we *should* get our bats going again. I want to see lots of doubles and walks. We’ve no power and no speed, I’d like to see us at least be able to hit more doubles than we’ve been getting lately. We aren’t going to beat this team with a few singles sprinkled over 9 innings……

If it’s a righthanded opposing starting pitcher, Pablo has to start. He’s hitting the ball harder than anyone on the team, when he’s batting lefthanded.

Pinch-hitting for Panda, who certainly has more power than Posey, was a strange move no matter how poorly he’s hitting lefties. And if it had come down to the pitcher’s spot, the only one left on the bench was Eli — or maybe Bumgarner.

“Pablo goes straight to Room B.” Yeah, but it’s crowded with Posey, Rent, Torres, Bengie, Castilla, Bochy, and Zito.

I’m sure a vast majority of us agree with TF, the moment just cried out for giving Pablo a chance for redemption. That’s the kind of stuff that baseball is all about. And now we’ll never know if Pablo would have risen to the occasion. He should have been given the chance.

I know that edgar is for some reason a sore subject on this blog, but I just got home from the game and have only one thing to say, FUCK RENTERIA!!

    Peace.

    I’m out.

      Yeah, “F” our .333-hitting shortstop.

He should of batted lefthanded against Kuo.Shit Torres batted right handed earlier this week, against a right hander, why not Panda?.And why the hell is Rowand stationed at 1st base when he’s the tying run?.Shit hit and run try a steal, something.Fucking tired of this BS,force the action!

Last year at this very time we were all doing our best to get Pablo into the All-Star Game with the “Vote for Panda” internet barrage. One year later we want him to sit and head straight to Room B. There’s a moral to learned, but I really don’t care at this moment. I’d rather go stick my face in a fan.

    Goodnight.

“And why the hell is Rowand stationed at 1st base when he’s the tying run?.” Oh good fucking idea, run into a strike ’em out, throw ’em out…
I’m already talking to the toilet with these clowns telling us Posey had a great AB. He swung at ball 4.
And BTW- after watching it again, way too much on Panda for that base running error. Rowand acted like he was going. Panda sees that and it DOES look like Rowand is dead meat, so he breaks for second to draw a throw. That is NOT all on Sandoval. I don’t see how he could know that Rowand was bluffing.

Well, then FUCK ROWAND, MOLINA and RENTERIA!! They should have all been sitting since last season anyway. I’m tired of this bullshit. Play the guys that at least have potential. No more room for washups no matter how much they’re being paid.

Yeah, might have been the dumbest thing Andres has done all year. No point in it, no positive result, back to LH next time. Dumb dumb dumb.

hmmm… this travesty game puts us in perfect position, lighting the impetus to winning 9 of the next 13? We got ’em right where we want ’em!!! Merely a warm-up.

Tonight wasn’t the first of Panda’s base-running gaffes this season this season. Though it would be heretical to suggest that Panda ought to go down to Fres-town for a fundiesmentals refresher course, he’s been on “rookie pine meat” course for awhile now, despite a few improved ABs here and there.
