A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on July 19, 2010

Knowing we get to slide right into a series against our *supposed* greatest rival makes it a little easier to focus on that and not on yesterday. And yesterday would have been a little easier to stomach if we hadn’t already had that inspiring comeback in the 9th. Oh well, nothing you can do about that……

Krukow was on the radio this AM saying we’re catching the Dodgers at the right time— Broxton threw 43 pitchers yesterday, a bunch of their guys are hurt. I think that type of thinking is BS. It’s on US to play well for once against this team. The way we’ve been playing against them recently they could field their AAA team and still probably beat us……

Yeah, chuck, and Bochy wondered why he can’t get one of those 1-2-3. Still is I guess.

That high hard one is unhittable tho at that speed and movement. Luv that pitch, esp after that down and away slider, also unhittable.

Monster game from Affeldt….Romo, like others, continues to confound.

And I still like our 5…Dennis, hope you bet the underdog. Nice handling from Mr. Posey…if he’s in the saddle, that’s where my money is.

Believe it or not, we’re the underdog as of now even with Timmy going tomorrow.
Kershaw -125. I’m liking that new jockey of yours, Buster. Smooth in the saddle with soft hands. Real easy-like with that one. Russell Baze has nothing on him. Russell still has all my money, but he’s got nothing on Buster.

Celebration shit is tiring, but none worse than NFL, where some special teams guy one step away from the taxi squad prances like Mikey and his white glove after making a tackle, which is the only thing he is paid to do in the first place.

It’s part of the game now…you beat Wilson you get to celebrate, with fucking team full of bowling pins if you are Fielder. If not, suffer the consequences.

No…it ISN’T okay for any of these idiots to act out and say “LOOK AT ME” the way Jox in general have become accustomed to…hate Furcal like I loathed T.O…or currently despise Wilson

so tell me what home plate would have looked like if Blake had hit that last pitch over the fence for a walk off slam….wilson at least does his with his back to the other team. He’s no worse than anyone else in the game.

Players jump up and down at home like overgrown bunnies after a game-winning HR, but a reliever like Wilson can’t do a brief salute to his father after nailing down a save? His is pretty understated compared to most others, like Joba Chamberlain carrying on after an out or two in the 8th inning. Here’s hoping we see two more “Look at me” gestures the next two days.
