Knowing we get to slide right into a series against our *supposed* greatest rival makes it a little easier to focus on that and not on yesterday. And yesterday would have been a little easier to stomach if we hadn’t already had that inspiring comeback in the 9th. Oh well, nothing you can do about that……

Krukow was on the radio this AM saying we’re catching the Dodgers at the right time— Broxton threw 43 pitchers yesterday, a bunch of their guys are hurt. I think that type of thinking is BS. It’s on US to play well for once against this team. The way we’ve been playing against them recently they could field their AAA team and still probably beat us……

It’s never easy with that Bullpen. But Affeldt only gave up a single to a dangerous batter and then clipped Bellyache. Jeremy seems to be back. Romo can be scary. Casilla is a wild man ~ who knows with him. Bautista is another scary one. Team priority should be a steady hand for the 7th, cause it looks like Affeld will generally be good as the setup man.

Relatively slow night at the plate for Posey. Only one for four with a run scored and one batted in. Guess my expectations have become a bit high. Huff was the one with maybe the poorest night compared with his usual. Uribe was a bit turgid as well.

Nailbiter for 4 innings running, but now we are up to .333 (10-20) vs. Division opponents.

Two things: Team still lacks that killer instinct against mediocre pitching. Don’t have any idea as to how to make it happen, but Giants need it. Secondly, a solid, steady reliever for the 7th is a virtual must. It should be the highest trade priority.
