I can’t participate. I have no favorite. I’d pick them all. Fuck you even left off Ross. If you meant pre-PS sure but…And Bumgarner. The maturity and poise…
Sorry, no. PS, right now? I’d go with Cain, Ross or Uribe. The season overall?
Sorry. Team
Ross had to sit for guillen, there’s no way he makes this list. Those are the guys who were responsible for this season; my opinion anyway. And bumgarner is cool but he doesn’t crack that list. My list anyway.
My pardon. I misunderstood the poll. And now, since I “exposed” myself, I might as well be blatant and state who I voted for. Or will vote for once I stop b3ing a blowhard and finish this post.
After this? And it’s a fucking tough choice…I’m clicking on (sorry twin, I know you love Torres) Posey.
He was an unknown. Sure, great minor numbers, but the mere fact he started the season *in* the minors made him appear like something was missing. Lincecum stated he trusted Molina *so* much and took a long time to warm up to Posey.
So…anyone watch the Giants this year?
Posey’s my breakout MOFO killer, took the whole fucking baseball world by storm fuck you guy.
And the sad part is…he looks like an actor on some Disney Channel show
Your so right Ms Ferret,it was really meant as a joke.I have moved on.I voted for Matt. He’s just been outstanding, and a real rock of Gibraltar all year.
When Twin raised the issue on the other thread, I posted my two centavos:
I vote Timmy, for the obvious reasons. (“Fuck, yeah!”) He’s the wild-haired bad-ass heart of the franchise. Timmy never gives in, never compromises, yet as contrary as he is, everyone likes him. He’s the perfect rebel.
It is Torres for me and I suspect he will be a favorite for decades whether he has another hit in the bigs or not. The most wonderful cliche machine ever…
There wlil be a parade here regardless. I will lead in my Jazzy Select… Winnie will be in line, a couple amputees, their children, Bea, Pilar, and my daughter. Zeke will eat the cat shit from the roadside and we’ll later adjourn for the cassoulet. I hope it’s on Halloween night… I’m making real caramel apples..
The Huffster is my guy. I freekin never heard of Huff before he came to the Giants. Seriously. But, IMO he embodies everything that is right with this club. From that early season inside the parker to the 9th inning go ahead clutch hit in Atlanta. He learned to play 1B again to a pretty damn good level of D. When asked, he played LF and RF positions, and well. He hit basically all year, except with a down period near the end. The Rally Thong thing was just off the chart, too. Then he predicted a 20-10 Thong stretch to win it, and that’s exactly what happened. The right amount of cool, the right amount of tongue in cheek, and you can tell the guy genuinely is lovin’ every minute of being in the playoffs, after a decade in the wilderness. He’s not perfect, and that’s part of why he’s endearing. He is the anti-Bonds. He is everything that remains good about this great game when there is so much that surrounds it that isn’t. Huff n’ Puff. He’s my guy…
In the context of Flav’s poll I am going with Huff. for many of the reasons stated he had a great season and was one of the main cogs in the Bochy machine.
But, the reason he gets my vote is the “intangibles” for which OurThong epitomized and he isone reason this season exists as such the moment that it does.
He stepped on that buzzer at the end of spring training and you could almost hear Bob Barker saying ‘Audry Huff, come on down’ as he played his ass off.
At ST he was a big question mark: where would he play? How many errors would he make? Could he hit? Was he another old-guy-wash-up?
By the end of the season he was a Giant. And none of those questions mattered.
Because he embodies the ‘second chance’ and making the best of it he is my ‘dude’.
Shit, too much funny, crazy, cool, and heartfelt shit posted tonight to even comment on it. Kudos one and all . . .
It really is hard to describe the feeling that this really could be the year. This is a true team, in the greatest sense of the word. Yes, similar to the 75 Warriors. A bunch of supposed no-names and role-players (and Rick Barry) who went all the way and crushed the Bullets in 4. Saw game 2 at the Cow Palace, yes, because the Ice Capades were scheduled over the championship series at the Arena.
56 years since the last WS win? 56 game hitting streak for San Francisco’s own Joltin’ Joe? Lead off hitter Andres Torres, # 56. . . .
I don’t know why, but the name I keep coming back to is Bruce Bochy. Yep, “Bonehead,” “Blockhead,” “Dunderhead,” whatever you wanna call him. He’s been the man this year. I’m going with the skipper as “my guy” for 2010.

What no Wellemeyer?
Kat, you’re gonna have to move on. I know it’s hard, but Todd’s in the rearview, time to look ahead… 😀

56 beers to go for victory!!!
You need an “All of the above” in the poll, Flav . . .
It’s pretty much all over the place but Wilson seems to be the dude
