Flap Fantasy Baseball Update
I’m sorry, but there is literally nothing that I want to discuss about last night’s game. Ugly. Horrendous. Embarrassing. Talk about whatever you want today but I am not wasting valuable pixel space on that atrocity……

Time to end Babs night.
Fuck yeah! A little pride! Get mad, dammit! We’re the fuckin’ World Champs!
That may have been Huff’s best AB of the season, being down 0-2 and then drawing the walk. Set up Buster just nice.
Last time up Pablo hit a breaking ball down and in and pulled it for a double. So Billingsley tries to throw the same pitch, again, next AB? They must figure the first time was a fluke.
I am fucking LOVING these at bats tonight.
and Pablo and Franchez both got completely fucked on those balls that got called strikes……
My imagination, or has the ball and strike calling so far this season been particularly more foul smelling than usual?…
Yikes, what an 0-2 mistake.
Mota was very money there . . .
Miles to go in this ballgame!
A lot of “grinder” at-bats from both teams tonight.
Somebody in the organization has decided Belt will be a stud, and whoever that is, he has a lot of power. This business about maybe playing Belt in RF underscores the faith in his bat. Earlier today, after I jumped into a brief discussion about Matt Williams, I did some googling. Turns out Al Rosen was the Giants scout who saw Williams at UNLV and decided that he was the real deal. Luckily for Williams, Rosen was GM soon thereafter. Something like that is happening to Belt. He has a godfather here.
Based on what, Xoot? Do you just like to read yourself? Belt played some LF and RF in the minors. They want to see if that’s is an option here, because Huff is butchering it out there and Ross still isn’t back. If he keeps scuffling, he’s going down.
Lucky for Williams? Seriously? He was jerked around for 2 years between AAA and the big league team. He eventually earned his way on to the team. You think Rosen was pulling strings?
Right.
It seems Belt has not taken a called strike tonight and has swung exclusively at pitches in the zone.
Affeldt is fast becoming another case of overpaid help.
He’s given up two runs already, shit can him…
Affeldt’s primary value is as a situational loogie. A full inning may be a bit much to ask.
Well, Affeldt gave a good speech the other day…
I don’t buy that someone tells Bochy who to play. If he could sit Buster in late 2009 he can do what he wants with Belt..
The Giants were out of the running in Sept. 2009 when Buster came up. No big deal. The push to get Belt ABs at the start of the season seems obvious. I’m not saying Belt’s advocates are wrong, just that they’re there, pushing hard because they’ve seen something specific. Maybe Bochy is the reason. Rosen watched Matt W. for a few innings at a UNLV game and said, “I’ve seen enough. That’s the guy.” (I’m paraphrasing.) Somebody thinks Belt’s the guy,l otherwise he’d be on the bench and Nate would be starting in RF.
If Williams didn’t have the talent and drive, he wouldn’t have made it. Whether Rosen was behind him or not. He certainly went through his share of adversity.
I don’t think there;s much more to it than they are trying to get the best team on the field as they can. They think Schierholtz in RF takes away from the offense.
Or maybe it’s aliens. Both are wild speculation.
The Gamer, En Fuego? What is this, Mayan 2012 come early?…
Fucking Rowand. Why is he in the game?
Because Torres is hurt.
He was fucking with you, Chucklet…
Duh . . .
Shit, Mike. I may be an idiiot but I’m not stupid.
Xootie thinks he’s being cute because Snarkk and I gave Aaron some shit earlier.
battle of the pens is going to be an adventure. that last guy made Casilla look like Maddux. Now another ball way in the dirt for the run.
Where does Affeldt currently sit in the LHP rankings?
Sweeeeet job by Romo. He’s won that setup job fair and square. Now let’s score a bunch of runs. Drama Queen likely to pitch the 9th.
That last pitch was scary. Called strike 3, but criminy, it looks like a beach ball.
You’ll have your fears confirmed once every 11 innings or so.
Back to torture. I like it…
No muss no fuss. 3 k’s for BW. Sweeet
unhittable stuff, to all 3 guys. Not a good sign for the rest of the league. Nicely done, comeback W.
Affeldt gets the W, right? along with a blown save?
Guess what the Drama Queen needed was a one-run lead to protect in the 9th. Reverts to form. Whew! (Wilson Helps Energizing Win!)
I ‘d give POTG to Mota. A hit there and it’s game over.
Buster with the big night. 3 hits and nailing Kemp at 3rd . . .
Except for the one laugher, the wins are comebacks. . .
Torture x 2 . . .
Nope. Mota gets it. But look at today’s POTD. Loo must pay Flavor. No way you can trust Flavor’s judgment. It’s Mota or Rowand..
This was a refreshing win. Rally from a 3-run dip. Immediately afterwards. Tie in the next inning. Go ahead. Get tied up. Rally again. Hold. Win. This will put some lead in those pencils. Betcha Drrrrty’s got a grin on.
POTG — Rohand. Gamer knocked in a run, scored early go ahead run, then tripled to right center and scored winning run on the passed ball. I don’t know what tonic he’s taking, but I hope he keeps taking it…
Wilson had absolutely nasty stuff tonight. All his pitches had movement. His fastball was moving late, and was practically unhittable. And he knew it. He didn’t nibble. When he has stuff like that, he just fires it in there with confidence.
