What a Great Game

Last night’s game was everything Monday’s game wasn’t. Coming back from a 3 run deficit against Lady Billingsley is not an easy task. Rowand came through not once but twice and that’s the only reason he beats out Mota for POTG—if Mota doesn’t do what he did this game is over. I just don’t know how to do a split-screen picture of 2 dudes or they would be co-POTG……

Posey got it going, Pablo’s double was electric, Wilson chipped his ERA down to a svelte 19.29. Hell, even Belt got a hit….

Our defense still sucked but you can’t have everything. Great win…..

Bozo the Clown is in first place. As noted by Snarkk, Mayan 2012 is upon us…….

Looks like some Drrrrty Dealin goin on tonight. Yeahh! Just tuned in. Got company earlier in the evening and was getting mighty hungry. Made a fire in the cookstove ~ stix got plenty good wood on hand. Peeled down some of my garden potatoes from last year. Got one of my yellow onions sauteing down.Plopped a smoked porkchop into the pan. A lot of folks raise and butcher their own critters. Sometimes i swap and stuff. Added some Paisano from Cali at $10 the gallon, a soupcon of V-8 juice and a hint of sweetened Hmong soy sauce. Replaced the lid on the #10 self-basting Griswold and cleaned up a few things.

Added a bunch of water later along ~potato water ~ and some cumin over the top of the chop. Let er rip for awhile. Threw in some oat flour for a five-minute thickening quickie. Got out the plate and utensils and something to drink. Loaded it up and hied to the table. I ain’t Duncan Hines, but this one comes recommended out in the sticks.

FYI, talked to a Mets fan here on business from Long Island. Said of Reyes, “You can have him.” Thought he might be OK if surrounded by vets that would make him hustle, esp. on a winning team. And he did mention how screwed their ownership is for $$$ with the Madoff issue, and how they aren’t going to pay Reyes to stick around.

Seems like Sanchez often sticks himself with one of those dirty innings. Goes with the territory, i guess. Fortunately, the Runs Scored insurance included full coverage for a two-run dinger, so at the half-inning mark it’s even stephen.

I’ve got people over right now, game isn’t on, but I just snuck into my office and caught the 2nd hit by pitch on Buster. That was an obvious throw to the player. Lilly has impeccable control. Payback for the Uribe shit. Sorry if this has already been posted I haven’t yet gotten to read all the comments……..

Curly Joe may not be from Kokomo. Fact is, the spicy lil’ Cajun comes from hot-sauce country, not too far from where they make Tabasco sauce. Helps cauterize the wound. Bamboo, laden with Pandajuice, can be lethal all by itself. Sometimes those become wounds that never heal. So you might term Curly Joe the lil’ French dude who delivers the coup de grace.

With his pair of singles and now the walk, Belt has upped his OBP to a not too shabby .341. Add his batting eye to his speed and i still like the notion which i bruited earlier but got shot down by those who know more about the game; that Brandon should be batting second. Sanchez with 74 strikes out of 109 pitches. Only 16.2 innings, but if that trend continues, he will have raised his game a notch or two. The Dodgers were 7 for 16 on balls in play tonight, raising his BABIP to well over 400. That’s some shitty luck so far this season.
