000 should just friggin bunt for a hit every damn AB. He’d do as poorly, or better. The guy is near hopeless at bat…

  2. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:13 pm

Dang. Shutout 2 innings by one of the worst relievers in ball. Not good…

Given our record with opposing pitchers. . . . We dodged a bullet.

  8. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:28 pm

I can take one more inning, that’s it.
    Come on Giants…

    B-b-b-Byrd is the word.

  18. chipower9 said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:33 pm

Byrd with another chance…come on big boy…

  19. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:34 pm

Posey at 1b means basically you have to hit an HR to get him in…

  20. James said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:35 pm

Sitting 25 rows back behind home. Second straight extra inning game for me down here over this year and last. It’s been a good one.

    Belt just crushed that ball…

    • pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:36 pm

      thanks for the live report

    • chipower9 said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:37 pm

      Cool…bring us some good juju…

    • snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:38 pm

Well, should be EZ to get out of the parking lot tonite…

  21. pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:35 pm

Byrd’s stance has shades of Willie Mays and Kevin Mitchell. At 2:35 a.m.

  22. pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:38 pm

Casilla should have hit Kershaw on the hands.

  23. Bozo said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:38 pm

Put them down one more time Giants. We’ll get em in the 13th.

    • chipower9 said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:48 pm

WTF….where have you been clowning around?

  24. James said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:38 pm

There are some Giants fans, Tommy Lasorda, and a handful of those dudes who post those laments Zumie is so fond of quoting left in the stadium.

    • snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:39 pm

Is Tommy scarfing some late night Ziti and meat sauce slammed down with a quart of SlimFast?…

      • James said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:47 pm

He needed assistance getting out of his seat to acknowledge the wild cheers.

  25. pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:40 pm

In Peavy’s defense the Agon homer was off a pretty good pitch by Peavy. Not that it helps anything right now.

  26. pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:42 pm

Terrible fans. Gone in droves, to Malibu, Long Beach, O.C., Hollywood, Brentwood.
    GREAT PLAY BY BYRDMAN.

  27. pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:45 pm

Earlier, Aoki looked like he simply did not know where to throw the ball, so he just lunged it in to the infield. Allowed a run. (Or did it? Long time ago.)

    • chipower9 said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:50 pm

      Nope…no run scored there.

  28. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:46 pm

    Nice job by Kontos.
The I-5 should be clear by now…

  29. Bozo said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:47 pm

I never gave Utely much thought when he was with the Phils, Now? Beat his ass down.

    • snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:48 pm

NO idea why the Giants even had an interest in Utley…

      • pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:50 pm

yeah, I am not growing fond of Utley

  30. pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:49 pm

Man, Larry Baer bolted up out of his seat after Crawford got hurt. That hurt. Told ya we shoulda drilled SurferBoy.

  31. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:50 pm

    Friggin A.
Can we not just get a sac bunt down? WTF?…

  32. chipower9 said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:51 pm

Need some of the bottom of the order bottom feeders to make some noise and score a damned run!

  33. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:51 pm

In this situation, Blanco should be drag bunting for a hit. At worst, he moves Craw into scoring position with 2 down…

  34. pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:51 pm

What is so hard about our pitchers learning how to bunt? It’s like SU foul shooting. Just practice it. 10,000 hours.

  35. pawliekokonuts said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:52 pm

    Really getting cranky.

  36. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:53 pm

I do NOT understand that AB by Blanco. Not a bit. You have to get Craw to 2nd base. Instead, a weakass fly to LF that does nothing…

    • Macdog said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:58 pm

What good is getting Craw to 2nd when the next batter is 000? He had to swing away.

      • snarkk said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:03 am

        He IS hitting about .175.
        He’s due.
Unless you were expecting Blanco to crank one out…

      • Macdog said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:08 am

Even if 000 lucks into a hit — and that’s about the only way he gets one — it likely doesn’t go far enough to score a runner from 2nd. Blanco does have 19 doubles.

  37. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:55 pm

So, the leadoff hitter gets on at 1b, then nada. Kontos can’t get a bunt down, so you let the rest swing away? I swear, Bochy sometimes will NOT play small ball when it is called for. Is he expecting Blanco or even 000 to crank a dinger?…

  38. snarkk said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:56 pm

    This inning is dangerous now…

  39. mrsprtdude said, on August 31, 2015 at 11:59 pm

Most frustrating game in a long time. 2 lame ASS bunt failures in critical situations, and Perez lame ass defensive swing with 2-1 count with runners at 2nd and 3rd. You would have thought it was 0-2 bases empty the way he swung. GRRRR

  40. Bozo said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:00 am

Out of Options? Adrianza’s options to get his ass to Sacramento is down to Greyhound, IMO.

    • chipower9 said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:06 am

I think Sacto’s season ends in the next couple of days…

      • Bozo said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:12 am

        So should his, IMO.

  41. snarkk said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:04 am

I don’t understand why Giants pitchers don’t pay attention to guys on 1b.
Where is Posey telling the pitcher to throw over? Or, Bochy, or Wotus signalling in?
Is the pitcher totally clueless and nobody wakes him up?…

  42. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:06 am

some strikeout there of van slyke

  43. snarkk said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:10 am

Alright, time to win this puppy…

  44. chipower9 said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:11 am

Please just score a damned run…already, now, pronto…

  45. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:11 am

    This is nerve-wracking.

  46. Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:14 am

Wow, Pawlie, can’t believe you’re sticking with this game, past 3am on the east coast….. Bozo too…

    • pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:17 am

it’s like having spent $100 in a brothel with nothing to show for it (hypothetically, mind you); might as well go all the way now, spend another $100

      • snarkk said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:23 am

Wow, is that the Discount Happy House?…

    • Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:21 am

Oddly enough, I know exactly what you’re talking about…. :-p

    • Bozo said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:28 am

I’m starting to run out of gas, rum? Put me in Coach.

  47. chipower9 said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:16 am

You Flappers on the right coast are animals.

  48. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:18 am

Prediction: pickoff goes wild, Duffy goes to 3rd; we win on sac fly

  49. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:20 am

Uhoh. MarlinsFan in back of home.

  50. Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:22 am

If Buster can get it to Byrd, I’s gots a good feelin’ about their chances….

  51. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:22 am

This has to be the latest game I have EVER watched.

  52. snarkk said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:24 am

Byrd’s gotta get it done here.
    Otherwise, I’m off to bed.
I’ll re-ask my earlier question that Loo commented on.
    It’s Sept 1.
Can all the 40 man play now?…

  53. snarkk said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:26 am

    G’nite dudes.
    Go Giants…

  54. Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:29 am

Uh oh. “Right down” Broadway. I seem to remember not thinking he was very good, but maybe he’s been better than I remember….

  55. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:29 am

fading……..Byrd was supposed to homer there, or at least single…..fading

  56. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:30 am

this might force Vin Scully to retire

  57. Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:31 am

Right, that’s what i thought. Lead off walks are never a good thing.

  58. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:32 am

    not a good feeling here,,,,,,,nope

  59. Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:34 am

Yeah, I think you’ll be able to go to sleep very soon, Pawlie…. bummer….

  60. Macdog said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:34 am

Still semi-lucid enough to wonder why Petit isn’t in.

  61. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:36 am

get it over with WITH A TRIPLE PLAY

    • Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:37 am

If that happens, I will take that as a very good omen for September baseball….

  62. Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:36 am

Agree, Mac. Broadway sucks. Seriously, he’s the best we got at this point?

  63. Bozo said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:36 am

Have I mentioned lately, that I hate Chase Utely?

    • Bozo said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:38 am

I guess, THAT I HATE CHASE UTELY, should be in caps.

      • eddacker said, on September 1, 2015 at 7:33 am

I have never, never hated a ball player like I hate Utely today. Even A.J. was an acquired hatred over time. But Utley? OMG

  64. Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:38 am

There ya go, Mac. Unfortunately, a little too late….

  65. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:39 am

I feel like I got NOTHING for my $100. See above.

  66. chipower9 said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:40 am

That fucking blows! Damned Giants had so many chances…

  67. Bozo said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:41 am

Five hours and twenty nine minutes out of my life. Get em tomorrow, Giants.

    • eddacker said, on September 1, 2015 at 7:35 am

I remember thinking, damn, if I were in London it would be morning and I’d be HAPPY they were in extra innings. 🙂

  68. Paul Sorensen said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:42 am

The last road trip against good team, it was often said here and in the news stories that the Giants were “competitive” and some of those losses were winnable. Losing winnable games, like tonight, ain’t gonna get you to the dance…. Something or someone just needs to get this team over a bit of a hump right now…

  69. blade3colorado said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:43 am

Damn, longest game I have watched in some time . . . and they lost. Sigh.

  70. Macdog said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:44 am

Not exactly Bochy’s finest hour . . . or hours and hours and hours, from leaving Peavy in to the brain-dead double-switch of Specs-000, and now putting in Right Down Broadway to set up the L. It’s hard to imagine the Giants winning the division after this one, considering who they’ll be up against the next two games. Tough to remember a more brutal loss. G’nite one and all.

    • pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:45 am

brutal, because it seemed so winnable……oh well

  71. pawliekokonuts said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:44 am

Think about it: if Romo was called for the balk we’d be in deep dreamland.

    • Macdog said, on September 1, 2015 at 12:46 am

Ha, or tossing and turning even more so.

  72. zumiee said, on September 1, 2015 at 1:16 am

Adrianza being on the 2015 roster was an epic front office fail by the Giants.

  73. wilcojoe said, on September 1, 2015 at 6:06 am

I dozed off in my chair. Is the game over?

  74. chipower9 said, on September 1, 2015 at 6:34 am

What a nightmare. Clears the cobwebs and get a won today!

  75. unca_chuck said, on September 1, 2015 at 7:23 am

Went to bed in the bottom of the 11th. Gave up after the top of the 14th. You east coasters are animals.

Ugly ugly ugly losses. Need these next 2 pretty bad. Bum bum bummio tonite. Need his best pitching and offense.
