So You’re Tellin’ Me There’s a Chance….

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on September 28, 2015

We’ve got a 0.1% chance of making the playoffs this year. That’s better than I thought. If we were able to sweep the Dodgers that would rank as one of the best things I’ve ever seen this team do. Maybe ranked right below the 3 world championships. One game at a time. “You could be walking around lucky and not even know it…..”

Hey, whatever happens, at least we aren’t the Nats. We don’t have petulant children like Harper. We don’t have stranglers like Papelbon. And our manager isn’t….well, you know……

Funny note about Williams and his sinking ship: He said he didn’t know the severity of the fight because he was on the other side of the dugout. Just how big is this dugout? A mile long? Was Williams asleep during the fight? He was probably doomed before the fight but he will get his proper firing at the end of the season. Guaranteed…..

I’m no Harp fan but I support him, to a degree, on this. Pap didn’t yell at him because he didn’t hustle, he yelled at him for the comment Harp made to the press the previous day about questioning Pap hitting Machado. Pap was looking to embarrass Harp the way he perceived to have been embarrassed by Harp in the press the day earlier. That’s stupid. And what exactly did Harper do wrong? He was at first base when the ball got caught. This wasn’t a ground ball that could have been misplayed, it was a lazy pop up. How often do those get dropped? It’s September, everyone is tired, I don’t see the point in running like a maniac out of the box on a lazy pop up with the 0.1% chance that the left fielder drops it and you give yourself a chance to make it to second base……

All the more reason to love the Giants. (As if we needed more reasons.) 🙂
With half of the regular team out with injuries they are taking this into the final week and making the Dodgers and their fans sweat for it. Setting up another showdown tomorrow night. It’s a very cool thing. I’m as proud of these guys as ever. They have defended their title well, no matter what happens.

Probably some funny Dodger blog stuff going on right now…

Oh yeah. I was going to post some of it, but they are dropping so many F-bombs, that I didn’t. 🙂

Awesome! Can you imagine what Doghair fans would do if the Gyros DID sweep?…

It would be such an epic meltdown on the Dodger blogs, it would be spectacular. The wailing would be off-the-charts.

Yeah! What he said. Not a winning Season, way too many injuries and freak twists, but a great TEAM, fighting ALL THE WAY.

One of the ironies is that the Giants have a chance to end up with more wins in the regular season than they had last season. The only difference is the Cubs snagging a Wild Card spot. All those years of being lousy finally paid off for the Cubs with all those high draft picks they were getting.

Yeah Zum, luv to hear Dodger fan bloggers singing blues.
Seriously tho, if you can’t beat Giants team with kids and subs in there and Greinke on the mound, they are going nowhere.

Jenkins said last week rumor was DTT is gonzo unless he wins it all (which everyone on the planet knows ain’t happening), and their old #12 Dusty B replaces him.

Dusty would probably do pretty well down there. But, he won’t manage their Pen too well. I still like him, though. But I will never forgive him for starting Livan over Woody in game 7, 2002 WS. As soon as he penciled that into the LU card, the game was toast…

WELP, that was our layup game.

And we clanked it. It’s really tough from here on out. You are just playing with fire when you give the Giants something to play for.

Madbum tomorrow, and Kersh pitching in a high leverage game. YAY.

“You are just playing with fire when you give the Giants something to play for.”

The Giants have so much more heart than the Dodgers, and the Dodger fans know it.

Yeah, it’s amusing how the LA fans diss their own team that’s on the verge of a division title. And, we’re sitting here marveling at how a team of Trevor Brown and other no-name kids is somehow beating them…

Yeah, Wille, Two-trips’ job is on the line for sure. He wasn’t hired by their new front office. They’re going to want to have their own guy in there, whoever it is, unless the Dodgers go the distance this season.

Are the Dodgers now platooning Kendrick and Utley? That can’t be sitting too well with Kendrick. He was a key player for them much of the season. He is kind of dinged up, though. The Dodgers are not physically well, overall. They are lugging at the end.
