Having some trouble with my internet today, so I am just popping up a quickie. So far today, Chi has sent me a pic of him and MadBum (he ran into him somewhere) and Blade sent me a pic of him, Chi and GiantHead.

Very cool to see the Flapalooza migrate east……

if you spell it the way they pronounce it the word comes out something like “Baahhstin” enunciated through your nose. Gotta be the #1 most butt-ugly accident in the country. Is there something in the air back there which impulses them to be so gawdawfully nasal? Maybe Peavy can make them regret they ever let him go.
Perhaps the Gigantic Sequoias will awaken as well vs that Poor Fellow and the Green Monster.

Depends on where you grew up . . .

      • zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 2:55 pm

The actress that does the voice for Lois Griffin, on Family Guy, gives her a strong Northeast accent:

      • Carstie Clausen said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:57 pm

Only depends on whether you stay there and/or switch if you move elsewhere. Some accents and brogues are charming, like from some parts of Georgia, or like the Scandihoovian accident around my local area. Totally dropped it when i was elsewhere and only gradually re-adapted it after moving back up here. The Boston nasal and the Brooklyn pretzel can be pretty grating. Capisce?

Chi you MOFO freaking running into Bum in the airport, damm that is rad beyond belief..
Did you ask Bum how his Dad likes his Chevy Truck since Bum won the Chevy (awkward moment for winning W/S MVP since he drives a Ford and does their commercials, dumbshit sponsors should have known that! So he gave his dad the truck..

    • bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 3:50 pm

Hey Kat! Isn’t that the most amazing thing? I was absolutely floored when I saw that photo … And to think Chi changed his flight so he could arrive early to meet up with everyone and the change in plans put him in the right spot, at the right time to cross paths with Bum! WOW, WOW WOW! Incredible!

      • chipower9 said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:28 pm

Actually, I did not change my flight. My flight out of Sac was late, so I missed my connection in Charlotte and had to take a later flight…which happened to be the flight Bum and his wife was on. Fate.

    • chipower9 said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:26 pm

Yes, I wa very surprised to see him. Did not ask about the truck, Kat. Just some idle chat about Blade and me taking in games in Bean town and NYC. Said he and his wife went home during the Giants off day. It was so fucking cool to see him!

  3. unca_chuck said, on July 19, 2016 at 2:55 pm

Yeah, that is pretty fricking awesome (not wearing Gregor Blanco’s world series ring crazy but crazy).

  4. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 3:18 pm

Kershaw has “suffered a set-back” in his rehab.
Obviously, that helps the Giants, but there is a part of me that’s sad for the guy. By all accounts he’s a great guy, and he and Bum have become friends.

    • bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 3:56 pm

I’ve heard that he is a stellar human being … He and is wife are involved in sponsoring the facilitation of potable water delivery systems in Africa and schools … And when I think of guys like Panda spending obscene amounts of money on stupid shit like a different color tricked out Ferrari for each day of the week … Oh brother … Fucking dunces!

  5. eddacker said, on July 19, 2016 at 3:51 pm

My roommate is a full-on Boston fan and this is fun. The flappers at these games are fantastic. Virtual attendance. I heard earlier today that the G-men’s front office has a full contingent in Boston. My first thoughts were New York negotiations. One can only hope. Although I would trade a healthy season of the players we already have over any trade. Even with the Reds.

  6. Flavor said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:00 pm

what does The Panda do all day? Where is he? If I was paying somebody 100+ mil I would expect them to rehab near the team and at the very least sit in the dugout and spit seeds…..

    • bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:31 pm

In all honesty BF, I dont think I could possibly give less of a shit about a former Giant than I do for him.

  7. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:09 pm

Speaking of former Giants, Timmy’s Angels game will be on the MLB Network tonight in some areas.

  8. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:10 pm

We are starting our most potent offense possible tonight.

  9. wilcojoe said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:15 pm

I just want to know how many of Bum’s free drinks from first class did Chi manage to sneak back to coach.

  10. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:18 pm

This is the old Belt lately, striking out like crazy.

  11. wilcojoe said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:22 pm

    So much for that.

  12. djloo27 said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:25 pm

After I saw Bone Head Parker get doubled off first, I was thinking exactly that.

  13. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:25 pm

The 3,4,and 5 guys killed a promising inning.

  14. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:28 pm

The Dodgers are roughing up the Nats’ AAA guy.

  15. bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:28 pm

    God damn it!!!

Ive been looking forward to this game for months … I tuned in time to see that Span & Pagan were onboard with lead off singles .. all I got to witness was the following 3 strikeouts … fuck, am I a jinx? So, do I have turn off the game now? …Waaaaa! I don’t wanna!

  16. wilcojoe said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:31 pm

I wonder if Chili Davis realizes he is the last homegrown Giant OF to make an All Star Game.

    • bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:33 pm

Damn Joe, that is an astounding tidbit of trivia.

      • wilcojoe said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:35 pm

I can’t really take credit for it. Snarkk constantly reminds us of how putrid the Giants have been in developing outfielders.

      • unca_chuck said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:12 pm

We be been mentioning hat for mnths

    • bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 4:48 pm

Boston feed crew said it was a sign of being unfamiliar with the park plus the wind out there blowing in which is very unusual for this time of year.

Boy oh boy, im on pins & needles waiting to see a post from our Flap bros in attendance.

    • wilcojoe said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:10 pm

Lisle, nothing ceases to amaze me regarding Flap related events. There was the time Twinfan (flapper emeritus) was typing gibberish on the blog. Snarkk and Flav noticing his incoherent wording tried to contact him to no avail. They ended up calling an ambulance to his house (how they knew his address is another story) and it turned out he was having a stroke. Their call to action likely saved his life.

But nothing tops the revelation that San Dawg and Unca Chuck’s (who had never met at the time and live hundreds of miles apart) college aged children were dating one another and neither flap parent had a clue. If you haven’t heard that story told by Flav, you haven’t experienced the true greatness of this place.

      • bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:52 pm

Omg! Did not know any of that .. but as incredible as it seems, I somehow dont doubt those sort of occurrences going down .. the passion that is expressed here on a daily/hourly basis conjures that kind of magic.

  20. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:20 pm

    Hello, Worst Case scenario.

  21. Bozo said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:22 pm

Come on Jake, couldn’t you have just given him a gold watch or something?

  22. wilcojoe said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:22 pm

At least with Peavy pitching, you can’t accuse him of grooving fastballs to Big Papi. He is an equal opportunist in that regards.

  23. Carstie Clausen said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:29 pm

So it goes. Not that unexpected, eh? Killer was that first inning. As i remarked the other night ~ look up the stats if you are so inclined ~ when Belt goes into funkzone the whole team collapses offensively like a termite ridden house. If it doesn’t happen sooner, the other Two Tall Texan should fire up that guy from Nacogdoches.

    • bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:57 pm

Nope .. not unexpected at all …a case of the predictability of unpredictability.

  24. alleykat69 said, on July 19, 2016 at 5:51 pm

Your telling me with the bankroll Jake Peavy makes he can’t get lasik eye surgery from Dr. Scott Hyvar like all the 49er dudes get??
Shit even Rick Barry dropped some coin on Dr.Rosenelli for his scary looking hair plug replacements..

  25. alleykat69 said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:08 pm

Giants going down quickly, at least that’s more drinking time for our Flap reps.

  28. Flavor said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:21 pm

Peavy pitched well, besides that one pitch….
Wilco: minor correction to your post above: Snarkk and I did indeed find Twin’s house (I actually don’t recall how we did that, I knew what town he lived in and we went from there) but by the time the ambulance got there he was on his way to the hospital…
But the San Dawg son/Chuck daughter dating thing is all true and top 3 of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen happen unfold live……

    • snarkk said, on July 19, 2016 at 8:02 pm

It took awhile, but in the instance of 3/8 of the regulars on the D.L., those chickens have come home to roost ~ particularly on defense.

  32. Carstie Clausen said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:32 pm

Outhitting them 5-4 but down 4-Zip. Pathetic. Yes, Peavy did pitch well but for that one to Ortiz. Was there any chance that the fix was in? Baseball is the least corrupt of major sports, but sometimes, like that one-handed home-run in the ’88 World Series, things make me wonder.

  33. blade3colorado said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:33 pm

Hello from the East coast. Chi and I are back in our hotel room. This was an excellent choice (Ramada) . . . Free shuttle from the airport and every half hour shuttle to the down town area and back. A bit exhausted, as my day started at 5am and Chi’s started yesterday . . . Yes, he has been up for 2 days. Wow!

We met Peter and his son, Jackson. Great people. We enjoyed beverages at a place called Joe’s American Bar. Afterwards, Chi and I had Pizza at Dirty Water. We ordered too much and gave our boxed leftovers to a homeless person. We then scoped out Fenway Park, the iconic home of the Red Sox . . . A lot of character in the surrounding area, with plenty of eateries and bars. If I was to compare the area to the Phone Park area, I would say that this entire area caters more to a younger, “working man” type of person. Prices are far less expensive than AT&T.

One more thing, Chi and I have already met a lot of Boston people and they are VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. We’ve had multiple people assist us in directions, subways to take and even a police officer was quite helpful to us. Great vibe here. No humidity too, so it was quite comfortable for walking around.

    • blade3colorado said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:39 pm

Almost forgot – the last place we went to was Max and Leo’s, with about 15 big screen TVs. Bar is adjacent to Fenway. Stayed about 4 innings (Holt HR) and then left (Chi was going on 36 or 37 hrs without counting sheep). Now, back in the hotel watching the game.

      zzzzzz

    • zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:39 pm

Peter is San Dawg? Am I remembering that correctly?

      • blade3colorado said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:40 pm

Yes, but so is Giant Head. I was referring to our East coast Peter (Giant Head).

      • zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:43 pm

        Ah, thanks.

  37. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:47 pm

Belt’s not getting all those close calls he got in the first half.

  38. chipower9 said, on July 19, 2016 at 6:47 pm

Well, helluva day. Late flight resulting in my meeting MadBum at the Charlotte airport. Met Blade at the Boston airport (he was able to get on an earlier flight).

We then went and met GiantHead (Peter) and his son at Joe’s American Grill in the Copley area of Beantown, and then Blade and I demolished a couple of NY style pies (had three left-over slices we have to a homeless dude…made his day).

Blade and I then walked mile or so to Fenway. Hit a place called the Bleacher Bar that has a huge plexiglass window that looks right onto the Fenway OF. Pretty damned cool. Caught about four innings at a place right next to Fenway called Max and Leo’s. Cool place…we may get our pre-game grub on there tomorrow.

Last note: there are more fine looking women in this city than you can shake a stick at! And to all those fine looking hens in Boston, I offer this…

  42. Carstie Clausen said, on July 19, 2016 at 7:00 pm

Seems like every good team has its Dark Days of December. It was two or three weeks ago when the Mets took the Cubs to the cleaners and magically transformed them into the Bad News Bears. Giants will hafta weather this storm.

As a RH flyball pitcher Cain is gonna need to keep his offerings to their LH bats around the outside corner at the knees. We’re all gonna keep our fingers crossed tomorrow evening.

  43. unca_chuck said, on July 19, 2016 at 7:01 pm

You need to go to San Diego, Chuck.

Fucking blah fucking game. Are we finally feeling the effects of losing appt hose starters?

We need Zumie out there, stat. As for you that are there, bring this shit on!!

  54. willedav said, on July 19, 2016 at 7:35 pm

Much disdain as I have for their FO, the A’s did at least 2 smart things–scooped up Khris Davis off the Brewers and left the kid SS Semien in there.
Davis has .500 slugging and 23 HRs, with a .290 OB and a ton of Ks, but way more productive than his cold start indicated.
Semien has 20 HRs himself and his cut the errors way down with hard work and help from coach Wash.

Dunno how long they can hold onto them, but couple good young cheap players with much potential.

      • djloo27 said, on July 19, 2016 at 8:57 pm

It’s not impossible but you would need a lot of things to go right. Your bus is coming in rush hour – traffic could be horrific. Then you have to check in – get to the subway and take 2 trains on a 75-90 minute ride (never really know). The other sad thing is that you would have no pre-game hangout time.

That guy Escobar has got to be one of the worst IFs .. his 14th error. Who was it that suggested we get him?

  64. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 8:54 pm

Pujols with a couple of 3-run HRs. Timmy with the lead again!

    • bassbaldy said, on July 19, 2016 at 9:00 pm

Rangers crew pointing out how Texas, this year, has been so good at consistently taking advantage of opponents mistakes such as walks, and errors. Makes me think of how consistently poor the Giants have been at doing exactly that.

  65. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 8:55 pm

Pujols has a really big boiler, as K&K would say.

  66. zumiee said, on July 19, 2016 at 9:19 pm

The GOP officially nominated their fascist tonight. Somewhere, George Will is probably literally weeping.
But hey, George, you never spoke up when it was needed. You and a bunch of others stood by and let it happen.

    • gianthead said, on July 19, 2016 at 9:27 pm

I am choosing to ignore the whole mess in Cleveland and focus on the mess of a baseball team in Boston…they seemed lifeless….someone shoot Parker for us…Fenway was packed with Giant fans. No offense kept us all quiet though for most of the game…

  67. gianthead said, on July 19, 2016 at 9:25 pm

I told the Giants to wake up on Saturday and they are still fast asleep…even with all these off days. One really fucking bad pitch from Peavy. Actually two because Ortiz almost one out in first AB. Awesome getting meet up with Chi and Blade a day sad that we had to depart post game for Rhode Island…we need a shake up with this team!!! A new bat will appease the Flapper Gods…safe travels Chi and Blade to NY for second half flap fest…

  70. gianthead said, on July 19, 2016 at 10:28 pm

I will have to counter Chi…it has been humid as hell here in new england. But chi was dead on, I saw hot women all frickin day long and at the park.

Chi and Blade, glade you guys made it to the Bleacher Baaaaaaaaa….gotta use the Bostonian accent at all times. My phone died out after a lengthy wait getting into Fenway so lost touch with their updates. But the highlight after the Chi and Blade meet up when my kid and I made the drive over from Newbury/Boylston/Copley Square to Fenway, I was trying to scope out parking. One lot wanted $45 and then I saw street parking and smartly read the fine print that it becomes residential parking after 6 pm. So avoided the ticket and likely tow and as I came around the south side of the stadium I see parking at a lot right next to the stadium but they are asking for $55. Just then on the opposite corner of that lot on my son’s side of the car, this Red Sox fan is waving something at us. He has a $50 parking pass and he says here take it we used the train today. I yell beers on me and the parking garage is literally 10 feet from the outfield entrance. I was stunned.

We walk out to get in line and I forgot the bloody tickets in the caaaaaa (keeping up the Bostonian). So I go walking back 10 feet as kid gets in line. The guy who handed us the parking pass sees my son in line and now notices he has put on his Panik jersey and jokes if he knew we were Giant fans he would not have given us the parking pass. So I said ok two rounds on me. But the guy makes the biggest mistake of the day and tells us we are in the wrong line and it is a family line for little kids, which he has a couple. Well the idiot should have just had us stay in line with him and they would have had beer flowing. But instead we had to go to butt fuck half hour long line and by then those guys had entered long before is and now there is no way to find him to thank him with cervezas or for these Bostonians some Saaaaaammmm Adaaaaaaamsss…

So we head to our seats as Giants BP is still ongoing. We have awesome seats maybe 6 rows up the left field line in the second and section maybe 10 feet and half way up on the Green Monster. As I am sitting there Cueto and Casilla or snagging flies in left…but mostly just standing there. I yell hello to Cueto and consider yelling down to Casilla that is time to start finding his ass from arsehole….but I demure. A second later everyone starts yelling look out. I look up and there is a mother fucking scorching line drive heading right to me. I am not kidding but I got my hands up literally in a half second and it was like it was all happening in slow motion but at the same time it was right on me in a split second. The ball pounds my right hand and I am lucky it did not break my hand or if I did not react that it is either a broken rib or paralyzing concussion. It was a Mac Williamson shot. Instead of catching the mothernfucker, the ball ricocheted a heartbeat later off the Green Monster and back on the field. I never give a shit about catching a foul ball or one in BP exactly for this reason of wanting to maintain my bodily temple of completely intact bone structures. My kid kept giving me shit that I had dropped it. I point out that he didn’t exactly reach over for the catch either.

But glad to report, the hand is in good shape for some golfing in Rhode Island. I had some real fun conversations with the Sox fans around me and one great old guy directly behind me reveals he is really a Mets fan at heart. I usually find talking to locals a lot more fun than the random Giant fans who now seem to appear everywhere out of thin air. Where were all these fans in the Candlestick years??? I don’t know why, but lot of these Giants fans don’t seem to be all that fun to talk to. Lots of Giant families and some younger fans (two sitting next to us are from Tracy and go to Sac State) who may actually been only young kids during the Candlestick years.

But to be honest, I think there are a lot of bandwagon types following our team. Not like the die hard Flappers. Last game I think I saw at Nats stadium with the Giants around 2013 or 2014, we sat next to another younger couple probably in their 20s and the guy looked like he was a die hard baseball/Giant fan and maybe a girlfriend going along for the ride. So I ask where there from Yada Yada. It turns out he was from Texas and had no ties to the Bay Area nor any family ties to the Giants or Bay Area. He just decided to root for them one day. I just wanted to say “Get the Fuck out of here and take that Giants uniform off on your way out!”

I rarely wear my Cain uni (do it for road games only like today and in 2014 to Citi Field).

Then I ashamed to say I saw some Giants fans do the unthinkable. Two rows in front of us, there is a group of Giants fans sitting together with a pretty hot blonde being one of them and her dude boyfriend looked like a farm boy goober (how the he’ll did she end up with him???? Maybe a Giants thing). Well the Sox fans in center start doing the wave…the wave travels from center to right field, down the first base side and as it hits behind home plate, I yell out loudly (Chi and Blade now probably know that I can be pretty boisterous): “Don’t do it Giant fans!” All the Sox fans around me start laughing.

Of course the wave comes down third base line toward us and the mother fuckers in Giants gear in front of me all get up to do the wave. I just shake my head and loudly state that is what Dodgers fans do…more laughs from the Sox fans.

We bailed in the bottom of the 8th after speaking (and this is why I love locals) to Joyce next to me. She is a salty 60 some odd years old former Queens native and living in Boston for 37 years and when I ask her how bad is traffic getting out of Fenway (and it must have been a sell out tonight), her response is “Fucking awful.” I don’t think I would ever get that type of response from a Californian or Giants fan. Classic moment. So we bailed then knowing the Sleeping Giants are going to stay asleep and we had about a two hour druve to southern Rhode Island ahead of us. We were first car out of the garage and after trying to figure how to get the hell out of downtown Boston and onto the freeway, we cruised right out and probably arrived at our destination very close to the Connecticut border in about 90 minutes. Think it took me at least two hours during the day last year on the same route…

And snarkk…I wish the same. I told all the Sox fans that they should be thanking me and my son for coming because I think the Giants have lost 5 of the last 6 that we I seen, last win was that Monday day game against the Mets in 2014 (can you say world series year) that Loo was also there for…

Chi and blade — get your asses in gear and bring home a win tonight. 🙂
However, you do it, just get ‘er done.

Great post G-Head….and I’m glad to hear you will still be able to swing the sticks in upcoming days!
And I can’t believe Chi met Bum in Charlotte of all places! What the hell was Bum doing there—-on assignment?
Things are going well here in NYC. We’re staying at the YMCA on the upper west side, and by some miracle, they let us check in yesterday at 8 am, right after I posted on here yesterday how I hadn’t slept all night. The room is literally about 8 X 12 with a metal twin bunk bed, but in the condition we were in yesterday morning, it looked like the Ritz Carlton. We slept a few hours then forced ourselves to get up and explore the area in hopes of later getting our sleeping patterns back on track. Trev (my 18 year old) was a bit of a grouch (at one point he muttered “can we get out of this god-damned park,” ) while we were wandering, but he actually was pretty good company most of the time. At one point around 2;30, we were so tired that we were going to get on the subway downtown just to have a place to sit and to kill some time. A local overheard our conversation and she said that was the worst thing we could possibly do—telling us we’d never get a seat and why the hell would we want to go underground and leave this area—stop and get a coffee if you are tired you lightweight west coasters! It was pretty funny–and ended up being good advice. We had dinner at a real good Peruvian place and managed to stay awake until 11 or so. I’m up early and Trev is still out cold, so our world is returning to its usual patterns.
Looking forward to interacting with some Flappers in the next couple of days. Pretty funny that Peavy and Cain got the 2 Boston starts. Are those the same 2 who faced the Bosox at ATT?

    • zumiee said, on July 20, 2016 at 6:21 am

Great report, SD! I’m diggin’ all these reports from everyone

The two Boston games at AT&T were Suarez and Bum. I was at the Bum game, a 2-1 Giants victory, a pitcher’s duel vs, Price. Belt and Williamson hit solo HRs. Belt’s a Splash Hit.
The Suarez game was a Giants loss in extra innings. Casilla took the loss.

      • zumiee said, on July 20, 2016 at 6:26 am

The Giants really played the Sox tough in those two games, but also there was no Ortiz in the starting lineup because of no DH, obviously. His PH appearances were scary, though.

    • gianthead said, on July 20, 2016 at 8:13 am

So funny Dog…my son slept in till about 10 himself and overall he was underwhelmed with the whole Boston thing…I was flabbergasted that he does not realize how cool everything is via architecture and the feel of the city, especially the North End. I said to him wouldn’t you love to live here after college with how cool the place is and his response was, “Nah.”

Weather is so awesome today Dog that we have to get 9 holes in:))))

nobody has seen him pitch in forever. Like to see bats wake up, maybe win a slugfest.
Couple old buddies on the Sawx–Hembree, who pitched Sunday night game and is apparently having a decent season.
Also old nemesis Hanley, now at 1b. Still think someone should drill this guy whether he hits well or not.

Great posts from flap visitors to East, and everyone else too. Enjoy!…and yeah win a game or three.

Hey if pen help isn’t available at right price, what about Longoria for 3b? Tampa is going nowhere fast, esp in that division. A guy like him would make a lot of people currently on roster suddenly irrelevant.

OK Flap Universe – Blade and I are getting ready to go terrorize Boston. Not really…women and children are safe…for now. Game time tonight that may be a different story! Tonight – Take No Prisoners! We want A WIN!

Blade and I will be in section 27, lower IF, row 18. I plan to rock my “We Score, We Win” Flap Daddy shirt!

We are off to check out the Freedom Trail and see the birthplace of our great nation. And to check out the beautiful (female) Boston scenery.

Make it a awesome day, Flappers!

Went to a game at Fenway (Yanks vs Baahston) in 2001 and my wife and I were rocking Giants gear. Sat in the RF box seats right near the foul pole (scalped for $40.00 each 20 mins before the game). Got a lot of curious looks from the fans around us, but had a blast. the fans around us were very baseball-savvy and reveled in the history of the rivalry. Paul O’Neill caught tons of shit, but the ushers were very strict regarding language. Maybe because we were near the bleachers, but foul language was dealt with in a hurry. I have some really funny pics I have to find to post.

The game was a near no-hitter by Mike Mussina as he battled David Cone in his one year off the Yanks to a 1-0 Boston loss. Went by really fast. For an AL game . . .

  80. unca_chuck said, on July 20, 2016 at 8:28 am

He’s the face of their team so it would take some doing, but they need young pitchers and we have some of those . . . He’s in the middle of a super-ultra-mega deal that runs through 2023 though. He’s due around $110 mill. Yes, $110 mill . . .

    $12.1 million for 2016, $13 million for 2017, $13.5 million for 2018, $14.5 million for 2019, $15 million for 2020, $18.5 million for 2021 and $19.5 million for 2022, and a $13 mill option for 2023.

    That’s some serious eating . . .

    • willedav said, on July 20, 2016 at 8:42 am

serious indeed, no idea he had a deal like that why would a team like Rays put out that much coin?
Not so much the yearly, just for so freaking long?

  81. unca_chuck said, on July 20, 2016 at 8:54 am

Longoria said he wanted to be a Ray for life. What’s funny is they never do deals like this. They usually dump guys bofore they have to pay him
