Marrero hit a bomb thus guaranteeing him another 100 or so at bats before Bochy looks to the east for help from the wrong Upton brother and/or Stubbs 2.0. Crawford’s homerun lit up his wife’s twitter feed, as you’d expect. I guess I was one of the few who liked the light show put on by the fans. If you are interested in donating to the gofundme page here is the link:

Remember, every little bit helps. Bake sales were big in my hood back in the day, I wonder if they’ll be firing up any of those if the gofundme peters out?
I noticed Pence’s new bride donated $500. Does he need to sign off on that or did that come from her private account of all the $$$ she made before she got married?
Aside from this generous gift from Hunter Pence’s wife, is it even in the realm of possibility that regular Giants fans cobble together 100K before Crawford and Cole get a chance to contribute?

Man, BF, you are on fire this morning. I almost burned my fingers on my iPhone. πŸ™‚

I’ll admit this thread was written to stoke a little of the uproar. I’m not uproarious about it. I’m just in awe that it’s happening.

  2. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 8:58 am

Loo’s favorite day today. All the players wear #42. πŸ™‚

  3. willedav said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:02 am

Well I doubt Marrero is long for the team. He’s up to .143…probably doesn’t have more than couple weeks.
You’ve got Mac, Morse (ugh) and the rest of the guys in Sac.

Thing about Morse is Giants have backed themselves into a corner—once he’s healthy he’s gonna get activated.
Only thing I can see is he PHs and plays some 1b vs. tough LHPs and Posey gets full day off no 1b.
His body and stats have only gotten progressively worse since last time he played LF here. Argghh!

    • chipower9 said, on April 15, 2017 at 12:32 pm

I really do not want to see Morse up, but we all know it’ll happen cuz Boch has a hard-on for vets.

#42….Is that the combined batting averages of our left fielders?

    • zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 10:08 am

      Ouch! πŸ™‚

at work we donate something that doesn’t sell much to pretty much every org that has tax free id having a raffle.
But once they say “fundraiser” I tell them the F word is not allowed in the store.
Kinda how I feel about this one.

Nice win by the club last night. Amy G was so close to mentioning the gofundme page but went with “social media” instead. I imagined djloo doing a slow burn back east. Honestly, who cares? People sometimes do strange things when they’re grieving. If someone wants to give them cash it doesn’t bother me.

    • Flavor said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:40 am

I am mostly with you on all of this. I just find it astounding. Maybe even more astounding is that I haven’t read a single thing anywhere (other than here) from any normal fan questioning this. Maybe I’m just a total ass for even bringing it up?

      • James said, on April 15, 2017 at 10:37 am

No, you’re not. It’s weird and noteworthy.

      • chipower9 said, on April 15, 2017 at 12:34 pm

It is weird, but I could really give a fuck.

  7. chipower9 said, on April 15, 2017 at 12:36 pm

Let’s get that series W today!

  8. Macdog said, on April 15, 2017 at 1:57 pm

    Moore isn’t fooling anybody today.

  9. Macdog said, on April 15, 2017 at 2:04 pm

Now Parker’s hurt making a helluva catch.

  10. Lurker John said, on April 15, 2017 at 2:39 pm

“Hey Siri, how good are the Giants?”
    “The Giants suck.”

Barring a miracle comeback, they’ll have to win tomorrow just to split with the goddamn Rockies. With Smardge on the mound. Ugh.

  11. Lurker John said, on April 15, 2017 at 2:40 pm

I hope the Cavaliers do make it back to the finals so the Warriors can excoriate their asses.

  12. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 2:40 pm

It seems like the team getting back to .500 is going to be quite the struggle.

  13. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 2:46 pm

Those “2 flap down” caps they’re giving away on April 29th are pretty cool.

    • zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 2:48 pm

Maybe they’re hats instead of caps, technically.

  14. Macdog said, on April 15, 2017 at 2:49 pm

    A hit!

  15. chipower9 said, on April 15, 2017 at 2:57 pm

Damn. Moore’s outing today was definitely different than opening day. I seem to remember him being like this last year: lights-out one start and blowing the next.

  16. Macdog said, on April 15, 2017 at 3:33 pm

The 40,000 at the game today should start a gofundme to get their money back.

  17. djloo27 said, on April 15, 2017 at 3:34 pm

What a yawner. Not feeling too motivated for the Citifield visit.
Any word on Parker? I dozed off several times and might have missed it…

    • Flavor said, on April 15, 2017 at 3:42 pm

how would it top the last time you were there? I’d skip it.

      • djloo27 said, on April 15, 2017 at 3:45 pm

        You’re right, Flav.
I can go out on top and never go back…

    • Macdog said, on April 15, 2017 at 4:11 pm

      Broken right clavicle.

      • djloo27 said, on April 15, 2017 at 4:22 pm

What is that – about 2 months?

      • Macdog said, on April 15, 2017 at 4:31 pm

        Could go on 60-day DL.

  18. djloo27 said, on April 15, 2017 at 4:20 pm

Keith Hernandez on Met telecast was lamenting the lack of African American players in the game today. I hope he doesn’t get in trouble for what he said with absolute respect and reverence:

“We need to entice the African American player to play baseball because they bring an element to the game that is very exciting”

I can almost guarantee some PC clowns will jump on him for it…

It may be time to take out North Korea.
My dad gave it a shot a while back…

    • Flavor said, on April 15, 2017 at 5:37 pm

North Korea is happier than pigs in shit with Trump obsessing on them like this. Attention is all that fat headed little fucker ever wants……

  20. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 7:29 pm

Celtic Isaiah Thomas’ sister died in a car accident in the early morning today. Not wearing a seatbelt.
I’m always amazed that there are any people not using seatbelts in this day and age. It’s possible she had been drinking.

    • Flavor said, on April 15, 2017 at 7:36 pm

the seats in my dad’s car didn’t even have seatbelts.

      • zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 7:43 pm

Yeah, it was a different era.
But now there are distracted drivers, texting and driving.

      • zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 7:49 pm

Ralph Nadar did a lot to get seatbelts in cars. That alone is a tremendous achievement.

  21. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 7:38 pm

Former Raven tight-end Todd Heap accidentally ran over and killed his 3-year old daughter this weekend at their home.

Everyone stay safe out there. Especially regarding cars and trucks.

  22. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 7:52 pm

The D-Backs go “3 Stooges” and give the Dodgers the go-ahead run.
The game is on the MLB Network.

  23. djloo27 said, on April 15, 2017 at 8:03 pm

So what happens now that the Jarrett Parker era is on hold?

  24. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 8:12 pm

    Sandoval’s hitting .132 now.

    • djloo27 said, on April 15, 2017 at 10:01 pm

Yet also on pace for 30/100…

  25. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 8:16 pm

If the D-Backs lose, the Giants will only be 2 1/2 games out of first place. πŸ™‚

  26. PaulinAsia Banh Bao said, on April 15, 2017 at 8:32 pm

The Jarret Parker era… lulz… I had high hopes for him (predicted he’d hit 20 bombs if he got the playing time, which is obviously out the window now) but don’t have much love for a Stubbs/Upton sighting at China Basin. Maybe NOW the front office will go get a legit LFer? Anyone? Bueller?

  27. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 8:43 pm

Jansen is trying for the 4-out save.

  28. PaulinAsia Banh Bao said, on April 15, 2017 at 8:44 pm

Watching the offense come out rather punchless in MadBum’s starts, and now also scoring 0 in Moore’s start, makes me wonder about something you sometimes hear the announcers say about the hitters pressing too much. Could understand the pressure to score more runs in starts by less stellar starters, but I would think the hitters would feel somewhat *relaxed*, if you will, when Bum or Cueto or Moore are on the mound. They’re scoring for Cueto, but not so much for the others. Maybe *relaxed* ain’t the way to go for this bunch.

    • zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 8:59 pm

It’s been a hard team to figure since the middle of last season. On paper, it should be better than this, but it isn’t for some reason.

  29. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:02 pm

Rodney gives up a 3-run bomb to Puig.
    Shoot your arrow now, dude.

    • Flavor said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:09 pm

83 mph RIGHT down the pipe. Rodney is an idiot.

      • zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:22 pm

Puig didn’t do a big bat toss. He’s toned down his act a little.

      • Flavor said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:54 pm

nobody should bat flip after hitting an 83 mph ball right down the middle

  30. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:24 pm

Add this to the hard-to-figure. Isaiah Thomas’ sister died driving a ’98 Toyota Camry.

    • Flavor said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:55 pm

don’t think I won’t be checking the gofundme site for this. Craw’s SIL, btw, is up to 25K

      • djloo27 said, on April 15, 2017 at 9:57 pm

Brandon made that in 5 innings today…
When will this insanity be made very public?

      • zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 10:18 pm

It will probably be up to BF to keep pursuing gofundme-gate like Woodward and Bernstein.

  31. zumiee said, on April 15, 2017 at 10:31 pm

Arroyo is hitting .423 in Sac now.

The Cubs have a catcher playing leftfield because he can hit.

  32. unca_chuck said, on April 15, 2017 at 11:55 pm

Jeeeeesus. Saw the last few outs and had no idea of all the shit happening today. Parker out? Merrorerror is in?

    Upton? Morse? Christian Slater?

Trump still in office? WTF?? I though Moab was a cool desert in Utah.

Warriors start tomorrow. And Jesus is busy laying eggs for tomorrow’s festivities. . . .

    And its gonnna rain.

    • djloo27 said, on April 16, 2017 at 4:18 am

Chill out, Chucky. Have a chocolate bunny…
