Day off today after pummeling that 50th rounder and his buddies into the ground. Dyson is getting a lot of slack on twitter because of the 2 errors but he shouldn’t. Dyson sucks, this was a completely stupid move. Texas gave him away for nothing and he looked overwhelmed and scared out there. *Skinny Rick Reuschel.* That’s gold. I see it.

Big day for the draft and our pick is at 19. I’d like to see us draft an OF with our first pick and draft an OF with every subsequent pick. Can you imagine how bummed you would be if you are an OF and the freaking Giants draft you? You immediately know your career is over before it starts. The cold reality that you suck is inescapable…..

Pulling away from the Padres. Now 1.5 games clear of them. Keep up the pressure! We got this!!!!

New marketing idea for the Giants: Considering Aaron Judge’s mammoth HR went 495 feet and that still wouldn’t have hit the glove at AT&T Park, how about this idea: if any player, Giant or opponent, hits the glove ON THE FLY every ticket holder in the park gets $1000. It’s never happened before so their risk would be small and they could buy insurance to cover the payout if they want. It might keep fans going to the park for something other than losing and usually boring baseball.

Since I never saw it not sure it actually opened the movie, but Marvin Gaye’s “Trouble Man” was probably best thing about it.

Royals blasted the Pads for 9 HRs and 20 runs Sat/Sun. So they will be feeling good coming in. And of course will always have extra motivation as they get to hear about Giants last hurrah once again.

  2. dirtnrocksnomo said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:31 am

At the rate they’re going the Giants are going to jeopardize their first round pick next year.

  3. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 9:35 am

We’d better see some highly rated outfield prospects being drafted.

  4. dirtnrocksnomo said, on June 12, 2017 at 10:10 am

I predict the Giants will draft a bunch of shortstops and pitchers. All honkys.

    • djloo27 said, on June 12, 2017 at 12:26 pm

      Hilarious!!!

  5. wilcojoe said, on June 12, 2017 at 11:10 am

I wonder what’s going to happen to the kid from Oregon State who was recently found to be a registered sex offender? I heard he was a potential Top 5 pick.

    • Flavor said, on June 12, 2017 at 11:38 am

Nobody’s gonna touch that kid (pun intended). Fuck him he was molesting little girls.

Yes and every Free Agent OF is thinking “I can make bank off the Giants”!!

    • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:27 pm

If you’re any good, I would think it’s a great opportunity given the dearth talent at that position. Why do you think his career would be over?

  7. alleykat69 said, on June 12, 2017 at 12:00 pm

Just cause you go to Oregon St, doesn’t automatically entitle you to molest Beavers..

  8. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 12:53 pm

The vast majority of high school and college players in the U.S. are honkys, so that’s going to be reflected in a lot of the drafting by teams today.

  9. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 1:23 pm

It’s unfortunate that baseball is an expensive sport, like golf and tennis.

  10. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 1:28 pm

In Latin America they get around the expense with “baseball academies,” the baseball factories that use up a lot of kids to find the few that are good enough to get big contracts.

    • wilcojoe said, on June 12, 2017 at 1:44 pm

I always wondered about that. So the big league clubs basically foot the bill for the Latin American kids to play ball? Don’t tell Trump about that.

  11. alleykat69 said, on June 12, 2017 at 2:36 pm

    Crazy trivia..
No sports team from the Bay Area have clinched a title at home since the A’s did it in 1974!!

    • wilcojoe said, on June 12, 2017 at 2:52 pm

Niners super bowl win against the Dolphins at Stanford should count?

      • Flavor said, on June 12, 2017 at 3:35 pm

yes. I was at that game, too

      • alleykat69 said, on June 12, 2017 at 3:43 pm

Should but wasn’t at the Stick.Though no one in their right mind would of ever hosted a SB game at that dump..
I could only recall the Saints winning a SB on their field after Katrina hit..
Could be another in 50 years I guess?Though it’s rare in football..

      • djloo27 said, on June 12, 2017 at 4:43 pm

Sorry Kat. Saints won their SB in Miami…

  12. Macdog said, on June 12, 2017 at 3:05 pm

I see the Twins have the top pick tonight, I didn’t realize they were the worst team last year with 103 losses — and now they’re in first place.

    • zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 3:32 pm

      There’s hope for the 2018 Giants! 🙂

  13. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 3:37 pm

I recommend that the Giants start doing this to pick outfielders in the draft:

  14. Macdog said, on June 12, 2017 at 5:12 pm

    Prediction for Game 5:

  15. Flavor said, on June 12, 2017 at 5:36 pm

5 more picks till we pick. Yes I’m watching this. Don’t judge me.

  16. djloo27 said, on June 12, 2017 at 5:36 pm

At least it’s still somewhat exciting when a Giant hits a homer. Seems like every other team hits so many.
And strikeouts everywhere. Not that long ago it was rare for a pitcher to average a K per inning.
    Now it’s almost expected…

    • Macdog said, on June 12, 2017 at 5:39 pm

Now if they can just hit a homer with runners on base . . .

  17. Macdog said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:09 pm

    An outfielder!

  18. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:11 pm

    Not a honky!!

  19. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:34 pm

Fucking Mark Jackson is the shill for the Cavaliers. He’d love nothing more than to see the W’s choke away another championship.

  20. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:35 pm

Warriors need to solve some things on defense. Right now the Cavs look like they want it more.

    • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:44 pm

Yes they do, and that’s the worst way the Warriors could have come out tonight. Let’s see if they can get it together. Curry comes out coughing up the ball again. Like Green’s mouth, he just can’t help himself.

  21. Flavor said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:36 pm

Hey, the “No Honky” pick is already a winner to me. This guy has serious upside. I love the pick.

    • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:41 pm

The outfielder guy? I haven’t seen anything about him. Glad to hear he’s good.

      • Flavor said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:52 pm

he’s fast, has a great arm and can hit the shit out of the ball. He’s young. All he’s got to do is develop.

      • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:56 pm

Just what the doctor ordered. We need three more just like him.

  22. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:42 pm

Can’t Jackson ever just say “ball?” Every single time he mentions the ball it’s “basketball.” Every damn time. It’s annoying as hell.

    • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:45 pm

Shoot the basketball, score the basketball, pass the basketball. The dude is a turd.

    • zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:47 pm

It’s a curse in sports these days. A lot of broadcasters are doing it in all three sports. Drives me nuts, too.

  23. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:45 pm

Cavs, 37 points in the first quarter.

  24. gianthead said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:52 pm

As someone said, not how you want to come out to start this game for the Dubs. Get the ball out of Curry’s hands. I want to see Klay being set up for some jumpers…

I liked that KY player who went to the Mariners at #17. Our pick looks like a potential high upside but we will have 5-6 wait likely. We need immediate talent readybto the majors in 1-2 year time frame…

  25. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:54 pm

Fucking Draymond Green is shooting 3’s again. The dude is delusional. He’ll never be a good outside shooter.

  26. snarkk said, on June 12, 2017 at 6:57 pm

Can they play this PRican kid OFer tomorrow?…

    • snarkk said, on June 12, 2017 at 7:09 pm

And more OFers please in the next rounds…

  27. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 7:11 pm

Better Warrior D in the second quarter. Intensity is up.

  28. chipower9 said, on June 12, 2017 at 7:11 pm

  29. snarkk said, on June 12, 2017 at 7:27 pm

Dubs played a crappy half except for maybe 5 min, up by 11…

    • zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 7:50 pm

Pachulia with 2 dumb fouls already in the 3rd.

  30. gianthead said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:03 pm

I would like to see a little energy out of the Dubs right now by bring in Javale…

  31. snarkk said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:04 pm

Tempo of game is Cavs. Not good. Dubs too much iso action, more passing needed

    • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:10 pm

I think that’s the one downside to Durant joining the team, more isolations.

  32. djloo27 said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:08 pm

I may have a stroke from that Kia commercial with those 2 assholes screaming on the jet ski…

  33. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:09 pm

3 missed free throws and one 3-point basket for Curry so far.

  34. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:13 pm

Mike Breen is creaming himself over the Cavs. Another collapse coming?

  35. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:14 pm

Klay Thompson a no show again.

    • zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:16 pm

They need to solve the Cavs’ trap of Curry better.

      • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:22 pm

Curry doesn’t help himself by not anticipating it better.

  36. Macdog said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:16 pm

      • pawliekokonuts said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:36 pm

Regarding LJ’s 6:42 and ff., I agree. I hear it most in football. Of course, it’s a fuckin FOOTBALL in a football game! It ain’t a ping-pong ball FFS.

      • djloo27 said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:39 pm

        They’ll never top this:

  44. djloo27 said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:35 pm

Do the Warriors belong more to Oakland or San Francisco these days or is it just irrelevant?
    I’m aware of their history.
As you know the NY Jets & NY Giants play in New Jersey…

    • chipower9 said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:37 pm

I say irrelevant, even with the history. They will be back to playing in the City in a couple of years.

    • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:38 pm

In my years as a fan, I’ve always thought of them as an Oakland team, but they were in SF just a few years before I was old enough to start following them. They were in Philly too.

  45. chipower9 said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:35 pm

Durant to Curry for the reverse…wow!

  46. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:36 pm

Give Steph credit, the triples haven’t been there, but he’s getting it done in the paint and with the assists.

    • Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:37 pm

      4 boards away from a triple-double.

  47. pawliekokonuts said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:39 pm

Chris Heston demoted to Rochester. I’m hoping to see a game there this summer. I hope he pitches. See him after tthe game with my Jints hat. And Manny Burriss is back in ‘Cuse after his PED or whatever it was suspension.

  50. djloo27 said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:45 pm

Durant should’ve held onto the ball at the end instead of letting it bounce away.
Some opportunist will scoop it up and sell it for $ 250,000.00…

  51. Lurker John said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:47 pm

The Cavs are a great, tough team, but Irving and James have to play nearly the entire game to keep them in it. They just don’t have the depth. Those two guys though? As good as there is in the league and James is all time, obviously.

  52. zumiee said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:47 pm

Congrats to the Warriors! They won a tough game. They made a bunch of huge shots in the 4th quarter.

      Way to go, Warriors!

  53. pawliekokonuts said, on June 12, 2017 at 8:47 pm
