When Baseball Doesn’t Matter Anymore
Cleveland tonight. Or whoever. It doesn’t really matter. After throwing our 3 best pitchers at San Diego and losing 2 out of 3, now we get into the real meat of the honky end of this rotation: Moore, Blach and Cain. So I think we know where this series is going.
And the worst part is that nobody cares. Did it look like any of those guys gave a shit yesterday? Its become so repetitive, so predictable….they get paid the same no matter what. And the fans tonight are going to be gleefully glued to their phone screens. Seriously, why go to these games if all you’re going to do is fiddle with your phone? And god forbid they boo any of these guys. That would just be mean.
Twin responded to my email. I’m not going to repost it since I didn’t ask his permission. In summary, he isn’t watching much baseball these days, has other things going on (though it didn’t sound like it had to do with his health) and that he wishes all you guys the best.
So that’s what this season has come to. We can’t even get Twin to come back and set us straight with his honest take. He doesn’t have one to give.
Tomlin K’d Pence three times swinging, on the same damn pitch. Slider a foot outside in the dirt.
Pence sucks.
But, he sure makes a damn good pot of french press coffee per wifey instructions…
It really is amazing how far and how fast he’s declined…
I can deal with a rotten season. There’s been plenty of them.
What makes this one so bad is that there doesn’t seem to be any help on the way in the system…

Actually, I’m not certain – as I gave up after finding Flavor’s smiley face post and ironically, it was next to his positive post responding to Chi, i.e., “come on. it’s only 1 loss.”

Hey Blade – WTF, I thought my comment about a number of fuckers losing their jobs was positive… 😉
Moore really did pitch better, which is a definite positive. sure he screwed up royally on the comebacker, Giants gave away a couple runs, and then compost gave up the insurance run, but an improved Moore is good.
If for no other reason he can eat quality innings this year and help Giants figure out next year.
I know Kontos had a good stretch (and Kruk loves the guy) but my theory is these middle quality relievers only have so many good innings before they implode. And Kontos isn’t anything special or elite at all.
