Sucks

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on August 3, 2017

Two crap pitchers with identical 5.74 ERA’s met last night. One lowered his ERA and pitched great against a terrible team. The other saw his ERA go up. Matt Moore sucks. The Giants suck. This season sucks.

That is all.

    Mass Suckage.

I had high hopes for Moore going into this season. I thought he could be a solid 3 in the rotation. So much for that. Maybe he finds his mojo for next year, but I am not holding my breath.

Rubber match today with the Fucking A’s. Maybe our boys win the series. And maybe monkeys fly out of my ass…

Baggs comments are astonishing, though we knew it was bad. Giants outfield is the worst defensive OF in MLB, but it’s not even close. It is at -44 defensive runs saved, with Rockies at -24, and they play on the moon. SF is almost double as bad as the next worst outfield. You can’t win in MLB with an outfield that bad, and that’s not even considering it is the worst offensive outfield, too. Jarrett Parker up. Who thinks he’s going to set the Giants world on fire?…

    • xoot said, on August 3, 2017 at 9:12 am

Gorkys is our best OF and he shouldn’t be on any MLB 25

      • alleykat69 said, on August 3, 2017 at 9:38 am

They have to give the Gorkster his 300 plus AB’s as the #4 OF to still evaluate his career suckness among the rest of the suckness..

  3. unca_chuck said, on August 3, 2017 at 9:27 am

Moore is the biggest disappointment by far. As is the clown car OF we all suspected to be a problem. Even if the best case scenario came to pass, the Mac/Parker two-headed LF, Span would still be Span, and Pence would still be eating and mugging his way into shitty-town.

How long can the 3-trophy bask aroma hide the stench of POS team the next several seasons? Next year as a .500 season seems out of reach…

Fans like all of us here need to start bombarding the Giants (Baer, Booby, etc.) with our grievances and ask them what the hell the plan is to right the ship. They need to know (and the more they hear it from, the better) that the natives are restless, and the sheen of Three in Five has worn off. Time to retool and get back to being one of the top teams in the sport.

  6. xoot said, on August 3, 2017 at 9:56 am

one of the fans who owns the season tickets I sometimes use are donating them to charity now. Tax write off.

    • xoot said, on August 3, 2017 at 9:57 am

      is donating them. sorry

  7. snarkk said, on August 3, 2017 at 10:00 am

I wonder if the SF ” dynamic” pricing algorithm for tix has been turned off for the rest of the season…

  8. djloo27 said, on August 3, 2017 at 10:54 am

Sure we suck and probably will for a long time but the 3 in 5 will never really wear off for any of us.
The only reason I complain is because I have this place to do it…

    • chipower9 said, on August 3, 2017 at 11:14 am

LMAO…me, too Loo! They (whoever the fuck “They” is) say that “Misery Loves Company.” Share the misery, boys…share the misery.

Agree…three in five (and the memories that accompanied each) will always be there, even if we suck for a REALLY LOOOONG TIME…

      • unca_chuck said, on August 3, 2017 at 12:09 pm

No, the company loves misery, as we used to say at Visa.

What else is left to be said? Craig, your post is the season in a nutshell.

My whole thing is I thought this team would at least be competitive, wholly cow batman, was I wrong!! Not in a million years would I have thought they would fall this far this fast! It’s like these guys forgot how to play the game. Oh well 100plus losses will wake up management hopefully.

    • djloo27 said, on August 3, 2017 at 12:33 pm

Some of these guys look genuinely lost on the field – as if the walls and base paths were altered in some way and no one told them…

    • chipower9 said, on August 3, 2017 at 12:41 pm

Agree, Kevin. Fuck, at the start of the year, I predicted our boys to win the West. HUGE swing and miss by me.

      • Irish Kevin said, on August 3, 2017 at 4:14 pm

Yeah Chi I thought for sure every game with the Dodgers was going to “mean” som thing!!

Next blowout I want to Buster Pitch!

  12. Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 2:55 pm

Left Reno this morning, i took two elevator trips about 10 minutes apart and both times a guy with a Dodger shirt got on with me (obviously different guys). I’m wearing a Dubs championship shirt and both times the Dodger fan commented on what a great season it was for the Warriors. Both times I made a derogatory comment about their shirts and got nearly the same “lol” out of both guys. If this sounds like twilight zone stuff, it was, and I am still weirded out by these back2back encounters. Anyway, I then said something about the Warriors being the only thing we have going in the Bay Area (sports related) and they both responded “well, you guys got the Giants and those 3 in 5 so you’re good.” Both said they would kill for ONE.
So we really do have that still going for us……

    • sfsarge said, on August 3, 2017 at 4:10 pm

Yes 3 in 5 was magical. And I’m so glad that I was able to experience it. And I know that those art dealers would probably kill for 1. With that said, the bask is over. The glow is dim, time to stop looking in the rear view mirror and look ahead. This team is terrible. I can’t believe that they will be this bad next year, but short some drastic wholesale changes. They won’t be much better.

I think the Cubs outlast the dogs in the NLCS. The Dogs will faceplate somehow.

Mets reliever hits a batter and walks three to lose the game.
Is there anything more frustrating to baseball fans than crappy bullpen performance?

    • alleykat69 said, on August 3, 2017 at 3:36 pm

Guess a whole crappy Giants team is comparable ..

    • Macdog said, on August 3, 2017 at 7:00 pm

Have you seen the final pitch on the game-winning walk? Just a bit high.

  14. unca_chuck said, on August 3, 2017 at 4:09 pm

Along with Lester Moore is the abject failure of Hunter Pence to be even remotely good this season. He fell lower than Anthony Scaramucci this year. Is it his newly vegan diet? His fucking coconut coffee? His bat-shit crazy GF?

His slugging %age is down 100 points this year after remaining pretty consistently in the mid .400s.

    • zumiee said, on August 3, 2017 at 4:31 pm

He got old and declined. Sometimes it happens quickly. Huff and Scutaro jump to mind.

  15. Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 4:30 pm

Nunie 1st inning tonight: blasted a single to deep center scoring Benitendi, stole second, got driven in with a double by Hanley. It’s weird to watch him go off like this……

  16. Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 4:32 pm

i cracked the same joke to both Dodger fans about their shirt. When they said “nice shirt, Warriors had a great season” my retort was “I wish I could say the same. Your shirt sucks, if we’re gonna ride this elevator together I’m gonna need you to take that off.” I’m not normally a *re-joker* but the first one went over so well I decided to roll it out a second time. The best part was my daughter next to me giggling her ass off at the *re-joke*

I was thinking about the extraordinary amount of stiffs who get to play a little major league ball and then get discarded. The Bowker gang has many thousands in it over the years, across MLB. I guess they have a few stories to tell their grandkids. “Hey, your old gramps played Major League Baseball.”
He sucked at it, but he got to play a little bit.

    • Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 6:14 pm

easier to make the show than to stay up here.

i know you guys know about his blog but I’m getting excited about football and I’m guessing Chuck is going to start ramping up the posts from here on out. If you get tired of talking about this shit team head over there. Plus, Nipper is there, he won’t post here for some reason technical that I’m sure would be simple for him to figure out if he gave a shit.

Gillaspie designated. It’s weird to look at the careers of Ishi and Gillaspie. Like, as soon as they hit their epic bombs they were basically done. Baseball. It celebrates the randoms and then destroys them almost simultaneously.

  23. Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 6:52 pm

    this is great

    • Macdog said, on August 3, 2017 at 7:04 pm

What the hell is the guy with the glove in the bottom row doing? It’s almost Span-like.

      • Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 7:22 pm

and the kid who probably ended up catching it, the only one with a clue in this photo, has another ball in his left hand already. He was hording them. Not too difficult vs this crew.

Graveman got hammered in all of his rehab starts so we should kill this guy, right?

  29. Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 7:32 pm

    One more time. Good Giant.

  30. Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 7:35 pm

it’s nice that we are hammering this guy but the Giants blowing their replay challenge on the first play of the game is the most “Giant” thing of the year so far…..

  31. Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 7:38 pm

If I was in charge of replay for the Giants I would clip at 90%. Easily. Maybe higher.

  32. Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 7:45 pm

I had no idea Aurilia had so many rbi’s for the Giants. Also, Chris Stratton must be shitting his slacks right now at the prospect of starting an MLB game every 5 days for the rest of the season….

    • alleykat69 said, on August 3, 2017 at 7:57 pm

He will shit in his slacks more if he gets a chance for a win and Cain comes in to fuck that up for him..

  36. willedav said, on August 3, 2017 at 8:55 pm

lot of hard hit balls tonite….Giants should invite A’s over to the house more often.

    • Flavor said, on August 3, 2017 at 9:07 pm

yes. It would be nice if they could do this more often. Entertaining game for sure, tho, at least for us. That bomb by Blach was epic

      • zumiee said, on August 3, 2017 at 9:47 pm

After Blach’s HR, Bochy had a big smile, and it was scary-looking.

    • willedav said, on August 3, 2017 at 10:14 pm

Tuesday when they smoked the A’s they hit 3 bombs and scored 5 in the first inning; both were season highs . Whatever accounts for extra motivation, they sure looked like different team.
