The Past

Sounds like Timmy’s *showcase* went ok. 90-92mph prolly not gonna get er done, tho. Theoretically, I guess he could keep that velocity for 20-25 pitches, maybe he could be a one inning guy now. Maybe.

His last good season was 2011. I remember very little about 2011.

Good luck to him wherever he chooses to walk the earth but let’s not have it be in SF. That path is traveled and worn. Time for a new one.

I saw one report of 93. Last time Lincecum did this showcase deal I watched it live-streamed, on line. He’s approaching things differently now. No live-stream. His workouts and prep were probably different this time too. Very determined guy. If he could hit his spots I’d take him over Gearrin, who throws 91-92. If . . . .

yeah you wonder if he still is adamant about being an SP. This might have been career path, coming out of pen, years ago. Who can forget Cincy?

Feel bad for St. Mary’s, but watched them get outplayed last night down stretch by USF, whom they’d blown out earlier and who had lost 8 league games already in a bad league and that sat 7th in conference. Bottom line, 2 teams max are getting in from this league and if Gaels lose another one in league tourney before getting to Zags, they might not be one of them.

Given the odds against them and the size of that school I’m amazed the Gaels even get this highly rated. Stanford or Cal making noise nationally pales in comparison to what the Gaels accomplish.

Timmy for the pen? Why not? O’Fuck and O’Shit inspire me in no way shape or form.

Kind of glad the Dons took down STMarys, Bennett’s teams has owned them for years. Sure the ride back over the bridge was major slice of humble pie..

Timmy should only pitch for a NL team, he got hammered with the Angels facing 9 hitters instead of a pitcher in the NL might be better for his psyche..

After being hung out to dry to deal with the fall out of Sabean’s post championship farm development Booby gets put back in the corner with his pull-ups and binky. Is Sabean a shrewd back office operator or what?

      Pull ups&Binky Lmao Dirt!!
Never put Booby in the corner.
But in this case it’s warranted..

An Evans-related trivia quiz would be who were all the players that played leftfield for the Giants in ’17? It’s quite a list, full of the stench of the dumpster that some of them were found in.

I found this list online, but it seems like there were others.
Eduardo Nuñez, Brandon Belt, Chris Marrero, Jarrett Parker, Orlando Calixte, Justin Ruggiano, Gorkys Hernandez, Aaron Hill, Mac Williamson, Austin Slater, Kelby Tomlinson, Michael Morse.

nice work. Did the shittier Upton ever make it up for a game or did he get hurt in AAA?

How could you possibly forget Carlos Moncrief?

is he the guy with the cannon arm? One of those guys had a hose….

Yeah it was Moncrief with the gun arm.
But just like the old tv show “Half gun will travel” he’s on the road again..

something I am noticing about the players in the Rising Challenge game right now: many of them are refreshingly devoid of tattoos.
