Beam Me Up (2-0), Scotty…..

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on June 4, 2018

……Cleveland fans continue to weep about NBA officiating on Twitter. Bottom line: the Warriors are just much better. Their pussy fans need to suck it up and accept that…..

This is a pretty big series with Arizona. I’ve been hearing about how badly the D-Backs are under performing this year. Time to see it with my own eyes. They have good players on that team. I’m not confident, especially without Belt…..

Draft Day! I don’t really care who they draft as long as it isn’t the high school kid Cole Winn. Take one of the college players. We need help as soon as possible.

There’s been a fun game running on twitter lately: Without revealing your age, what’s one thing you remember that a young person wouldn’t understand?

There are obviously a ton of answers. The first one that came to me: a water bed.

The 4D view they show of these plays afterwards are ridiculous. I wish they would get rid of it. It’s just a novelty. It’s like going to a 3D movie.

    • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:41 pm

Agree. A new toy for the producer.

    • Lurker John said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:44 pm

Flem is certainly gushing over it.

      • zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:48 pm

        Krukow, too.

    • xoot said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:49 pm

I read that 4D view adds algorithm-generated transition frames to smooth out the revolving view. So it’s not necessarily an accurate record of what happened. (Maybe that’s why the 4D show of Panik’s slide the other day suggested he was tagged out when other video views didn’t.) So it’s a fucking gimmick.

      • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:52 pm

Wow! I didn’t realize that, but it makes sense and more important, yes, it wouldn’t be 100% accurate if it’s based upon an algorithm.

      • xoot said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:10 pm

apparently they use 140 cameras and their software synthesizes it all almost instantly. Even entertaining AI is scary.

    Nice AB!

  3. chipower9 said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:43 pm

    Holy shit…great AB by Hanson!

    • snarkk said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:49 pm

      I’m not missing, what’s that guy’s name, Flanco?…

  4. Lurker John said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:46 pm

They owe this Godley fuck some payback.

  5. Lurker John said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:47 pm

That fucker spit his gum out on the field as he was running off! Send his ass back out to retrieve it and put in the proper receptacle! WTF!

  6. Macdog said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:48 pm

    Godley gets creamed.

  7. alleykat69 said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:48 pm

Nice piece of hitting by Hanson, pitcher gave him too much of the plate 0-2 and he made him pay for 2 knocks!

    • chipower9 said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:54 pm

Hanson fouled it off what, 127 times?

      • xoot said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:55 pm

        every nasty curve ball

    Boom! Kick in the doors….

  10. Macdog said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:54 pm

Buster knows he better step it up now, haha.

  11. PaulinAsia Banh Bao said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:55 pm

Love the Hanson kid. Gotta find spots for him.

  12. Lurker John said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:56 pm

    7-spot. That’ll work.

  13. PaulinAsia Banh Bao said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:56 pm

If I’m a GM, unless I have some really serious needs on the team, if there’s a potentially very good catcher available in the draft, I’m taking him. Someone’s always gonna need a good catcher at some point. Good pick.

  14. PaulinAsia Banh Bao said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:57 pm

Yeah, Zum and Mac, I know that Bautista’s nickname is Joey Bats. But I swear I recently heard it in a film or show. Driving me nuts…..

    • Lurker John said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:59 pm

There was a Billy Batts in Goodfellas.

      • Macdog said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:11 pm

Now go home and get your fucking shinebox.

  15. zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:58 pm

Buster hit a 410 foot double.

    • willedav said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:02 pm

high drive too. How many other ballparks does that not clear a fence?

  16. willedav said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:58 pm

Um, not trying to hex anything, but Giants could be in first place by time DBax leave town.
Got a nice thrash going right now. Posey crushed that and he has real power to the opposite field, it just won’t go out at ATT given combo of night ball dimensions and the high wall.

  17. blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 8:58 pm

I didn’t see the game last night, but it seems like the Giants are firing on all cylinders since that last game in Denver.

  18. Lurker John said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:01 pm

Damn, Aaron Judge with 8 K’s in today’s doubleheader – ML record.

    • xoot said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:07 pm

the exit velocity of his whiffs exceeded 110 mph I’m sure

  19. zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:01 pm

    • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:03 pm

No Zum . . . Only Posey is correct.

      • zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:06 pm

        Posey, Hicks, Parker
        I’m going outside the box.

    • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:10 pm

No, still wrong. Again, only Posey is right.

  20. blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:02 pm

Paul, Burt Reynolds in The Crew, a movie about retired mobsters. I think Dan Hedaya was in it too.

    • PaulinAsia Banh Bao said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:06 pm

Maybe that was it. Gonna stop thinking about it now, thinking just gives me a headache these days.

      • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:06 pm

It actually wasn’t a bad movie.

  21. willedav said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:07 pm

I like Moronta. He busted Avila inside with 98 fastball at his hands then put him away with curve at bottom of zone. Clean inning after the big rally, well done.

  22. chipower9 said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:08 pm

    King Fu you!

  23. Lurker John said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:09 pm

  24. willedav said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:09 pm

  28. djloo27 said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:17 pm

Was there more than one lunatic here who wanted Pablo back?

    • zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:20 pm

It’s taken awhile, but the rest of us have warmed up to his return.

    • chipower9 said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:46 pm

With Boston paying a majority of his salary, absolutely. Roll the dice! I would say the Giants have got their money’s worth, already…

    • willedav said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:49 pm

not me that’s for sure. I’d have dfa’d him last October. Making good things happen that’s for sure.

  29. blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:27 pm

        No Zum

  31. unca_chuck said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:32 pm

Has to be Posey Panik Culberson.

BTW. Culberson’s last 3 home runs have been walk-offs. First time in MLB history someone has hit 3 walk-off home runs in a row. Of his 8 home runs, 4 of them are walk-offs.

  32. blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:32 pm

    No Unca

  33. blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:34 pm

Anyone else? We almost have a 25 man roster going here. lol

  34. blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:36 pm

Another clue – April 4, 2016, Giants at Brewers and the pitcher was Ariel Pena.

  35. unca_chuck said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:38 pm

    Posey Panik Hicks?

    • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:39 pm

      No on Hicks.

      • zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:45 pm

I can’t remember who the back-up catcher was at the start of ’16.

      • unca_chuck said, on June 5, 2018 at 8:04 am

        Sanchez?

  36. chipower9 said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:44 pm

    • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:46 pm

Who are the last Giants to hit back to back to back bombs?

  37. djloo27 said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:45 pm

    A RH hit for Panda…

    • willedav said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:51 pm

yes impressive. I looked him up this morning I think he was at .118 vs. LHP 2 for 17.

  38. blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:48 pm

One more clue. All of these players were STARTERS.

  39. willedav said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:50 pm

  43. zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:57 pm

    • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 9:58 pm

      Yes! Yes! Yes!

      • zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:00 pm

The Invisible Span was the final piece of the puzzle!

      • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:00 pm

lulz . . . Yes, the Invisible Span.

    • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:00 pm

Actually, the correct order is Span, Panik, and Posey (but a minor quibble).

  44. chipower9 said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:03 pm

A contract like Span’s became a cautionary tale for the young SABR-minded GMs.

    • zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:08 pm

Well, several of the Giants’ contracts. 🙂

      • blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:11 pm

  49. blade3colorado said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:10 pm

Wow! Hundley too. Last season, we literally would wait weeks for a jack to go out of the park.

  50. zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:11 pm

Disappointing to see so many fans left the game. They didn’t used to do that.

    • zumiee said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:13 pm

Giants fans used to party until the end in a blow-out. A lot of them just head out now.

  57. chipower9 said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:32 pm

Even with Belt out, who had been their most productive plater, this team is showing it can persevere. If they get, and keep healthy, they will continue to make some noise. I am really digging this club. Humm Baby!

  58. Macdog said, on June 4, 2018 at 10:59 pm

And the winning pitcher is . . . Pierce Johnson, who gets sent to Sac to make room for MadBum.

    Why not Moronta?
