Rooster Coop Quiet, Empty

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on August 14, 2018

The only thing that sucks about last night is that the Nick Hundley hit had a chance to rank right up there with the Brian Johnson bomb (well, below it but up there) but with our dire place in the standings it’s just a nice win against a team we all hate. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Fun win.

Also wasted this year: Nick Hundley. This guy has been so important to so many wins this year. He’s the type of grizzled vet Bochy loves and he’s been the back up catcher we’ve literally never had. It’s just too bad we aren’t going to get to see some magical moments from him in the post season.

I like that Slater forces the issue on the basepaths. One of these days its gonna pay off……

    • snarkk said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:13 pm

Yeah, with two outs, why not go for another run? Play it safe and wait for another hit? — screw that…

  10. Lurker John said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:13 pm

    What is the back out!?

    • sandog said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:14 pm

I think he’s talking about my boy Slater and his reckless abandon on the basepaths.

  11. unca_chuck said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:13 pm

Back runner.. Slater.. The ball wasn’t very far away.

Wow. Ballsy move stealing there. You guys are right…..he can haul ass.

  32. willedav said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:22 pm

and more questions for Roberts and his pen. Newly demoted Maeda gives up 3 hits and a run takes L.
    Gotta love it.

  33. snarkk said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:22 pm

I wonder how many times since the move West the Gyros have gone ahead to win in the 9th in two straight games at the Latrine? Maybe never ?…

  34. sandog said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:22 pm

……and we got Holland going tomorrow? I like our chances.

  35. snarkk said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:24 pm

An in-your-face-one-run win with two outs in the 9th over the Doghairs at the Latrine, AND a brawl to boot.
Now that’s some good baseball right there …

  36. alleykat69 said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:25 pm

Yeah I’m so greedy right now,I want this goddam sweep ! It’s huge if we get it!

  37. unca_chuck said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:25 pm

In that fight, the ump backs away. He should have tried to stop it before it got to that point.

    • snarkk said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:26 pm

Absolutely right Chuck. He didn’t want to get in the middle, but that’s what he should have done…

  38. willedav said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:27 pm

tweet: How do you fix this offense?
    From: dodger nation

    • Bozo said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:31 pm

      Ha.

  39. snarkk said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:37 pm

Suarez looked shaky early, but righted himself and pitched his ass off for 6.
    His best performance so far?…

  40. alleykat69 said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:41 pm

    Aurilla ripping Puig!
You know they say he’s matured since his rookie days, well I don’t see it, every team sees it, including his own team always trying to defend him, and their even tired of his antics!
He doesn’t “Respect the Game” opponents, even his teammates..

  41. zumiee said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:43 pm

A 1 game suspension for Hundley would be an outrage. He can’t possibly get a suspension.

    • zumiee said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:45 pm

Puig should be 4 or 5 games.

  42. unca_chuck said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:54 pm

The ump should be suspended for letting it go like that. What a chickenshit. If Hundley gets a game, I’ll be furious.

  43. alleykat69 said, on August 14, 2018 at 10:57 pm

Well it would be outrageous for Hundley to get a suspension, when it’s all on Puig and the league (officials )and every other team he plays against have personal grudges with this chump!
Doubt it will ever happen to him personally, but he needs to “look in the mirror and realize maybe it is me not everyone else”

  44. alleykat69 said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:04 pm

And if Hundley does less say gets 1 game, you have to have a backup catcher.Right now I assume it would Gorky lol, would of been the Panda for sure, now who’s ever the AAA guy is, are activate Eli (el presidente) Whiteside lol 😂

  45. zumiee said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:11 pm

The only x-factor would be if Hundley said something perceived as racist, and that is extremely unlikely. It’s impossible to imagine Hundley doing that.

  46. alleykat69 said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:17 pm

Well with this Loser, Puig probably thinks every ball player is racist except him.. The guy is always a ticking time bomb 💣💣💣

  47. zumiee said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:22 pm

Yasiel Puig (via interpreter): “(Hundley) told me to stop complaining and step back in the box … he just kept coming after me and kept complaining. I wasn’t going to let them disrespect our house.”

    • zumiee said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:26 pm

So Puig felt he was defending the honor of Dodger Stadium. Like that makes sense.

  48. zumiee said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:23 pm

“Home-plate umpire and crew chief Eric Cooper on what specifically warranted Yasiel Puig’s ejection: “Watch the tape. You’ll see why he had to be ejected.” And for Nick Hundley: “There was no delay. Watch the tape. You’ll see why he had to be ejected.””

    • zumiee said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:24 pm

      “There was no delay.”
      What does that mean?

  49. mrsprtdude said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:34 pm

Umpire fucked up ejecting hundley. He got pushed twice and did not retaliate. Even Puigs explanation ( he was telling me to get back in the box) show’s he nothing wrong…

  50. xoot said, on August 14, 2018 at 11:41 pm

Maybe he said get back in the box, pinhead, it’s time for me to celebrate kicking your ass again. Helluva a game, even hours later.

  51. blade3colorado said, on August 15, 2018 at 2:21 am
