Zach Attack
Zach Wheeler wants to be no one else in the world today. He’s done pretty well vs the Giants in his 4 career starts but today he’s plotting a total wipe out. He’s getting to face probably the worst offense in major league baseball. And, especially if you listen to San Dawg, Wheeler has turned a corner and is now an ace.
And now he gets a chance to blow away the team that traded him?
Tonight is going to be ugly, at least for us…..
Speaking of San Dawg, he sent me a pic of his AMPM meal from the other day. My favorite part: upper right, “Enjoy by 6pm”. Eat it, and eat it quickly…..There is a lot going on in this pic, feel free to comment on the highlights as you see them.
…and the Law won.
The Giants win a game! The Giants win a game! The Giants win a game!
My son just said the same thing. This is the worst game in history.
Has a team ever, and I mean EVER, been so disgusted with itself that it chooses to forfeit a game and just give everyone a day off so they can, you know, come back to the ballpark the following day all refreshed and ready to… oh nevermind….
I’m disgusted and we won .I lost 4 plus hours of my life I’ll never get back..
I’ve been wanting Pence to do that all year,
On this night, the Mets sucked worse…tomorrow is a brand new day.
The ‘Posey is ailing’ angle is likely just that. An angle He hasn’t had power for 3 years now. Nothing will change that fact. Moving to 1st won’t change that. And I don;’t think we are gong to aluminum bats any time soon.
Clint may not nod at the end of this one.
Unless left to right, not up and down…
The Giants are 10-7 in extra inning games this year, so they have that going for them.
MLB Network has the Dodger game on; oh what a shock, they’re using the Dodgers broadcast.
With the insufferable Hershiser.
Regarding Rose’s batting stance, I’m guessing it worked for him because of his Popeye forearms. Probably not a lot of lower body in his swing.
And umps gave him the small strikezone which got him a lot of walks.
Seems like the crouching batting stance is fading away. Some of the studs the Giants bring up lately are upright to the point of almost bending backward…
What studs would those be ? …
Oaf, Slater, Parker (who sucked)…
Oh, those studs.
Weirdly, my stud finder didn’t register with those guys…
Yeah that stance worked to perfection for Ricky Henderson as well..
Good one, Kat!
Bases loaded, and two Cardinals take strike three at the knees. Sometimes I just don’t get what guys are doing out there.
Hey, watching the replay on that D’Arnaud out at the plate in the 13th.
I wasn’t listening at the time, you guys may have discussed it. But, looks to me like the catcher obviously blocked the plate with his leg before getting the ball. I thought that was illegal…
It’s illegal, but….there’s wiggle room in the rule if the player had to do it in the course of taking the throw. It’s a judgment call and the umps tend to give the catchers lots of slack on that, which they shouldn’t do. But not as much in the playoffs. The umps tighten up that call in the playoffs, and causes managers to blow their tops.
If McCutchen is on the block, he should sit to avoid injury.
Why not? They play a man down frequently for no better reason.
It would be the Giants luck that he pulls a hammy or something just before they pull the trigger to send him somewhere…
The Cardinals are walking a bunch of Dodgers because that really works.
Cards go yard twice on Jansen.
Didb’t even realize Jansen was cleared to play. Cards are hell-bent on giving this game away.
Great Loss for LA. All the excitement over jansen back….Rival in spirit and in WC race. Yay!
