Another Beat Down?

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on October 26, 2018

Look, this series is over. But if LA is going to dodge the embarrassment of getting swept they need to win tonight. And it’s not a crazy thought to think they could niggle a win out of this back of the woodshed treatment. They are at home with their best pitcher going. Of course, the pin heads puppeteering Roberts might still screw this up.

It must stink being the Dodgers manager. You’re nothing but a message carrier. A butler. A yes-man. Did he know what he was getting into when he took the job? Probably. Baseball really has gotten worse when the manager is too scared of his own shadow to make actual in-game decisions.

That’s just unbelievable. That’s the dumbest play I’ve seen all season. 3-0 right there in his grasp and he throws it away. What an idiot.

  2. zumiee said, on October 26, 2018 at 10:51 pm

Eovaldi nibbling to Juice-box and walking him didn’t help either.

Me to the Sox and bums: “You’re killing me, Smalls!”

I also remember Chuck Knoblauch having the case of the yips one year. One of his wild throws from second base hit Keith Olberman’s mom in the face as she watched the game from the stands.

Steve Blass (a pitcher) also was a lousy fielder and couldn’t throw the ball to first. lol

    Froze Freese.

  6. mrsprtdude said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:05 pm

Not to nit pick but watching Nunie. I love Derek Jeter. Nunie is not that. Nunie caught the ball, slowed to a jog and turned his back to the wall so he could flip over. I know I’m pissed they didn’t close it out, but an athlete should have put his hands into the wall and stopped. imo he had time. The grounder is an easy flip to 2nd if the runner is still on 1st. Shit.

  7. Bozo said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:06 pm

Joe Buck sure loves him some Dodgers.

    • Lurker John said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:00 am

Yeah he does. Seems like Smoltz is on board too.

  8. mrsprtdude said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:08 pm

PS. Note for Cora. never double switch out a guy that came with a few hits of the triple crown. Kinsler is useless. Not sure if his idea to try and score on sac fly but dumbass Buck raving about a throw that was 15 feet up the line. Kinsler out by a mile. GRRR

2:07 am in Boston. When was the last time they payed a Word Series game in the day time?

  11. gianthead said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:12 pm

How is Larry King still awake in the 15th inning or did he just pass away and no one knows yet???

  12. blade3colorado said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:20 pm

Good play by Maeda. Grrrr . . .

  13. Bozo said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:22 pm

Two outs, Boston has em right where they want em.

  14. unca_chuck said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:26 pm

    wow.

  15. zumiee said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:27 pm

It wasn’t a strike, but oh well.

  16. zumiee said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:30 pm

Pomerantz is not very good. The Sox don’t want to have to use him.

  17. unca_chuck said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:34 pm

wow again. Boston has blown this one but they are still in it.

  18. gianthead said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:35 pm

Whew that was a close one…

    • Bozo said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:36 pm

      Yeah you right.

  19. blade3colorado said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:38 pm

    • gianthead said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:47 pm

So Chuck, I was joking about your post about my congresswoman this morning. That is the right Chuck right??? And I saw the Chi follow up?

      Blade still awake??

      • unca_chuck said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:48 pm

        I ain’t Chuck on FB.

      • gianthead said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:56 pm

Damn I dont know who that is then…thanks for the clarification…

  21. blade3colorado said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:47 pm

These fucking announcers are clueless. They act like the Red Sox are the only ones playing 16 innings. How about Baez and Jansen? Both of those fuckers pitched 2 innings a piece. They’re spent and aren’t playing tomorrow. .

    • zumiee said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:49 pm

Great point. It affects both teams.

    • gianthead said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:51 pm

And there he is…sorry to about family issue. But I assure you it is a bureaucratic fucking thing. Buddy of mine back in Bay Area married a girl, Scandinavian as well, around 8 years ago and never got her into the US. I think they eventually went their separate ways. All in the Obama years. The bureaucracy post 9-11 has made it buck f hard to get visas for wives. Once you have a child should be automatic.

Of course that could mean all her relatives then visit months at a time:(…

      • gianthead said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:52 pm

And people dont realize, more people were deported in the Obama years than any previous Admin in history…

      • unca_chuck said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:57 pm

That’s the fallacy of the right. That the Dems are weak on immigration. The right mainly just falls for buzz words and saber rattling rhetoric.

Beyond that, Obama didn’t put children into concentration camps.

      • blade3colorado said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:58 pm

Yeah, I have spent hours in embassies and consular offices. I’m not the lone ranger insofar as being disappointed by their bureaucratic BS rules. I saw one guy yelling at the Vietnamese employee at the front desk, telling her – he wanted to talk to an American. He was done talking to what he called “mouthpieces” for the US Government. She called security. lulz

      • gianthead said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:04 am

Chuck, you are wrong. Obama did detain children in holding centers. Go look at the videos. Trump admin is simply continuing the Obama policy. Straight up fact….

      • gianthead said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:06 am

And media and others forget. Dems had 2 years under Obama’s first term with Dems controlling both Houses of Congress and had all the time to do immigration reform…didn’t do shit for 2 years. Dems talk a great game…

  22. zumiee said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:53 pm

    Nunie is taking a beating.

  23. alleykat69 said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:54 pm

Noonie’s gonna need to check in with Hawkeye Mash 4077 unit for battle fatigue..

  24. unca_chuck said, on October 26, 2018 at 11:59 pm

They should just pack Nooner in ice all night. He bruised his entire body tonight.

  25. blade3colorado said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:00 am

Eovaldi threw more pitches and innings than Porcello, who started the game.

  26. Bozo said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:00 am

The All Knowing Nunie just has to win this thing, right?

  27. zumiee said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:02 am

So much of the Red Sox power was subbed out by Cora.

    • Macdog said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:11 am

      And for a crappy baserunner.

  28. blade3colorado said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:03 am

So to continue my point about who has been affected more – Boston or Los Angeles – LA just used their 8th pitcher and Boston has used 9. Umm, so explain again Fox why ONLY Boston has beeen affected by playing this game, especially with regard to pitchers????

  29. Bozo said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:05 am

3AM here, I’ve gotta close it down. Y’all bring home an LA loss 🙂

    • blade3colorado said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:06 am

  32. unca_chuck said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:08 am

When/why did JD leave the game?

    • zumiee said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:11 am

Pinch ran for him in the 9th, I think.

    • blade3colorado said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:16 am

Kinsler came into run for him in the 10th I think. He was hurting (legs).

  33. zumiee said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:11 am

Sox might blow out Eovaldi’s arm.

  34. blade3colorado said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:11 am

Off topic . . . I see Cousins is in mid season form. He got ejected during the game against the Knicks and he was in street clothes. Not certain if that’s a first for him, as usually he gets ejected while he is playing the game.

    • zumiee said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:12 am

He was not to be denied.

  35. alleykat69 said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:12 am

I’ve never seen so many pop ups Envoldi has gotten out of the dogpile..

  36. gianthead said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:12 am

Obviously he should be hitting Kershaw with a fastball here..

  37. zumiee said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:15 am

Eovaldi does have a nice easy motion.

Next inning…the Sox just traded for Belt, who will now be pinch-hitting…

  40. blade3colorado said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:23 am

    (Don’t) Bogaerts (that joint) is 0 for 8. He’s due I think.

    • blade3colorado said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:24 am

      Correction 0 for 7.

      • blade3colorado said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:25 am

        Correction – now 0 for 8.

  41. gianthead said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:24 am

Who do the Sox start tomorrow??? Eovaldi was scheduled….do the Sox have a pinch hitter left???

    • gianthead said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:26 am

      This is going 22 innings..

    • zumiee said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:26 am

They’ll have to bullpen it tomorrow. Brian Kenny will be thrilled.

Cora, AL manager, got out-managed in the NL game.

  48. gianthead said, on October 27, 2018 at 12:37 am

How many idiot Fodger fans by the foul pole were celebrating Muncy’s earlier near home run???

  49. chipower9 said, on October 27, 2018 at 6:46 am

    Fucking dodgers….

Could not keep my eyes open and bailed middle of 17. Glad I missed the shit-fest celebration.
