Rolling back into town yesterday, I listened to the Giants get shut out by the underwhelming Brett Anderson. Zero runs. It was definitely great to hear baseball on the radio again but this is precursor to the 2019 season. Pffttttt…..

Anyway, DJ Loo is dominating. Here are the standings at Flavor Nation:

For anyone who is playing at draftkings: the new line up format is terrible. Agreed?

    • wilcojoe said, on March 25, 2019 at 9:32 am

I have only been playing golf since football ended. I haven’t really noticed any changes.

Surprising most high seeds survived. all 4 #1s #2s #3s plus 2 #4s still alive, 14 of possible 16. Other 2 are Auburn #5 plus Oregon. Still could have all SEC or all ACC or all BigTen final.

how did our resident college hoops expert not get in on the Flap bracket?

      • willedav said, on March 25, 2019 at 8:21 am

ha. Haven’t done one in ages. Have a feeling it’s going to come down to teams/programs I can’t stand. Used to do contest with friends at this point of 16–pick final 4 with tiebreaker being who wins it all. winner got steak dinner courtesy of losers, but lost touch with friends years ago.
Very cool you set this up, good luck.

      • gianthead said, on March 25, 2019 at 9:37 am

I’ll take a steak dinner from the Flap once I win…

  3. gianthead said, on March 25, 2019 at 9:35 am

I would have been in good shape if Duke went ahead and lost. But think Michigan State will take care of them when they meet…well I will say Farhan does have a complete different approach than Sabes/Evans…that should indicate a vastly improved farm system to come…

  4. snarkk said, on March 25, 2019 at 10:02 am

ZMan has probably made more player moves in a week than Bobby did his entire tenure as the “GM”. Bochy must be wondering whether one more season was a good choice…

    • unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 10:29 am

The moves seem to be helping Sacto more than SF, though. I know it’s all a part of the bigger picture but yeah, we ARE active.

  5. alleykat69 said, on March 25, 2019 at 10:21 am

I’ll be glad when Boch hangs em up after this season, his managing has been stale since their collapse in the 2nd half of 2016,time for Zman to bring in his own guy so the flap can critigue him..

  6. Macdog said, on March 25, 2019 at 11:28 am

Because we don’t have enough catchers:

  7. alleykat69 said, on March 25, 2019 at 11:56 am

Yeah we’re snatching every catcher you never heard of in baseball!
Murphy could be a perfect Giant, he doesn’t hit!, he can throw out runners at least,on par with ml avg 28% kind of looks like Aaron Rogers if that means anything? But he could turn into a small Nugget, due to being a high pick (3rd Rd) by the Rocks and he’ll he’s “Only 27” 12 years younger then Krank! Probably a AAAA player to start, but now with ty h options since the Giants didn’t trade for him..
Still don’t get why the Giants keep rear ending Aramis Garcia ,who should clearly be the backup catcher right now?

    • Irish Kevin said, on March 25, 2019 at 12:25 pm

Totally agree, why isn’t Aramis the backup

      • zumiee said, on March 25, 2019 at 12:52 pm

        He is.

      • zumiee said, on March 25, 2019 at 5:08 pm

        He was. 🙂

  8. unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 2:36 pm

Like I said, they are filling out the Sacto roster.

    • alleykat69 said, on March 25, 2019 at 2:38 pm

Be nice if they filled out the big league roster as well with some talent..

  9. gianthead said, on March 25, 2019 at 3:10 pm

We could just add a half dozen more catchers with “pop” and just get rid of the rest of the starters. Is there some rhyme to any lack of reason? Seems like Farhan just keeps bending over Aramis…

    • djloo27 said, on March 25, 2019 at 4:17 pm

Still the greatest cologne ever. One whiff and it’s 1973 again…

  10. djloo27 said, on March 25, 2019 at 4:46 pm

Flavor, you and Ambassador Diggity must’ve had a blast…

  11. djloo27 said, on March 25, 2019 at 4:52 pm

Never has a GM made so many meaningless, forgettable deals in such a short time.
The Z should stand for zugzwang…

    • zumiee said, on March 25, 2019 at 5:06 pm

He’s doing the same thing he did with the Dodgers. It’s up to people if they want to debate how successful he was with the Dodgers.

  12. zumiee said, on March 25, 2019 at 5:08 pm

Zaidi didn’t think Garcia was ready, so down to Sactown he goes.

  13. djloo27 said, on March 25, 2019 at 5:20 pm

    Zaidi’s theme song…

  14. djloo27 said, on March 25, 2019 at 8:06 pm

I don’t even know when opening fuckin’ day is…

  15. mrsprtdude said, on March 25, 2019 at 8:23 pm

LOL DLOO I was just going to ask that. Looked it up. Earliest opening day in history (outside of the stupid int openers). THIS Thursday! All 30 teams play

    • alleykat69 said, on March 25, 2019 at 8:30 pm

I’m with you guys on this OD day.Shit I didn’t know the A’s were 0-2 playing in Japan, then comeback and play more BS spring games against the Giants?Wtf??Who comes up with this stupid madness??

      • unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 8:55 pm

        Are you not entertained??

Well, no. Sucks for the A’s and M’s to go to Japan, start the season 2 weeks early, come back, play moe meaningless games, and then restart their season in another 2 weeks.

All in the name of what? Getting new fans? RIght.

Good to see Parra with the warning track power dialed in.

  16. zumiee said, on March 25, 2019 at 9:08 pm

    Anderson looked good.

  17. unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 9:27 pm

First game I’ve really seen and I haven’t seen us hit a ball hard yet.

    • zumiee said, on March 25, 2019 at 9:30 pm

The Giants hitters foul off fastballs down the middle. Nobody squares one up. Longoria looks like this year’s Pence. Except with more years coming.

      • PaulinAsia Banh Bao said, on March 25, 2019 at 9:37 pm

        Hopefully not. *More years coming.

  18. unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 9:50 pm

  22. unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 10:22 pm

The sea gulls outnumber the fans 3-1. 25 pitches, zero outs for Blach.

  23. unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 10:24 pm

Well, that was nice. Followed by a Blach error.

  25. unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 10:26 pm

Blach with the Sacramento Special there. 33 pitches, one out, four runs, two errors, too funny.

  26. alleykat69 said, on March 25, 2019 at 10:30 pm

Painful for anybody to watch what Blach just went thru! Could of pitched himself to Sac with that mess.. Threw in 2 errors as well, hey if your gonna fuck up do it right!!

  27. unca_chuck said, on March 25, 2019 at 10:31 pm

Somebody needs to tweet Amy G the question: “When will the Mueller report be made available to the public?”
