Kung Fu Blasted
That was quite an exciting bomb from our co-bomb leader. I wonder what the fans in Boston are thinking about The Panda? Assuming they don’t care anymore.
Suarez gettin’ after it tonight, he better be on his game or this is going to get ugly, early.
Dubs sweep Blazers to the curb tonight. The Finals await.
The Panda has 7 HRs in 83 ABs, Manny Machado has 9 in 172 and Harper has 9 in 166 ABs. Pablo is costing us the minimum, while those other two guys are costing their teams, well, the maximum. We sure are getting a lot of bang for the bucks.
I’ll bet Pablo’s name starts popping up on the trade rumor mill soon, but I sure hope he finishes the year with SF.
Friend of mine has son in law who told her Bucks will beat GS and win it all. Watched them last night, wow what ugly game. Even Eurostep G shot 5-16 from floor, missed all 3 from 3 pt land, 2 of 7 from FT, with 8 turnovers.
Middleton and Bledsoe each 3 of 16 from floor. George Hill was best shooter.
Raptors weren’t much better–that’s a one man team. Lowry has never impressed me and back up Van Vleet took 11 shots and missed 10 of them.
Maybe it’s a one off but neither looked like NBA champs. No one could really create their own shot. Bucks moved the ball around and found open guys but shot 37% from floor/32% from 3. ?
Definite wake-up call for all the wise-asses on the Bucks bandwagon led by the Round Mound…
I understand my Sharkies are on the brink of elimination. Ah, that’s a shame
“my Sharkies” lol. Like in most sports, as long as somebody beats Boston, it’s OK.
Yes. They pulled their typical shitting a brick at home in the pivotal playoff game…frustrating it happens over and over…
And I had just ordered a new dapper Sharks hat🤣😤😱
Looking at his career with the club, does Sandoval qualify as a SF Giants god?
The Giants are 8-7 in May so far. Currently 4.5 out of the Wild Card with a lot of baseball to play. I get all the talk about value for players and striking when the timing is right but if they close out May at .500 or 1-2 games back does it change Zaidi’s approach?
Absolutely an SF god
I agree. Sandoval and Posey’s career numbers make for an interesting comparison.
Ask Verlander…
You mean this guy?
And this guy knows the meaning of “wow”…
lulz
Flav, did you stay in Portland for the game??? We’ve made mincemeat out of em. My former colleague is claiming Dray, Klay and Curry incessantly foul and NBA is biased to the Warriors…never heard of such garbage!!! Pure jealousy. And to make that argument when Harden and Chris Paul push off on every possession is laughable…
yes, I was in Portland for the game, stayed at my buddy’s house. Downstairs he has a Man Cave and he has a projection screen on the entire side of the wall broadcasting horse racing. Good times.
My bad…I saw your pic for game 3, I meant did you stay for tonight’s game???
Rockets basically tackle, grab and molest Curry incessantly during their games. Curry gets fouled constantly, hardly any called. Harden runs into people, throws his arms up, and gets calls. Jordan would get calls if somebody looked cross-eyed at him. I don’t know why Curry doesn’t get calls, even when he goes to the bucket and gets hammered. The excuse he takes 3 pointer is crap. So does Harden, even more. It’s the off-ball fouling that is ridiculous. It’s been happening ever since he got on the NBA upper echelon radar 5-6 years ago…
And Panda doing it in a third less at bats is what is impressive….
boo fucking hoo. Fuck this guy.
Have you considered a career in grief counseling?
Post of the day…
One of the weirder things I had happen to me at the game on Saturday: I had 2 separate people come up to me, tap me on the shoulder and say “you know, draymond green is a dirty player”. Seriously, why the fuck would you spend your time doing that? If he was playing for them I wonder if they’d call him a dirty player? Would they call him a dirty player while he’s snatching balls out of the air and heading the other way? People are idiots. All of them.
Nothing but pure unadulterated green-eyed jealousy. His game 3 performance was utter brilliance. Best game of his career. He and only he kept the Warriors close in these last two games. He’s loud, obnoxious, and proud, but no one in the league would say he’s even remotely dirty.
So fucking agree…my son and I always hear: “Oh Draymond is so overrated.” My response is always: “”So is your mother!!!” At least I say it in my head…belittling 14 year olds’ mothers and my neighbors/contemporaries would not probably go over well…
This was my former colleague’s comment:
“Draymond is the worst – gets away w murder”….I responded that he must not watch much basketball and none of this series. Draymond is playing his all-time best right now…
Three triple doubles in the playoffs so far for a power forward is sick…

LOFL!! Gold, DJ!
It’s the Allen Iverson syndrome, Snarkk. Small guys just don’t get calls like that. The off-balll shit that he deals with is insane.
I do have to give the refs props in these playoffs for the most part. They didn’t buy into the bullshit of Houston’s game of throwing their legs out or jumping into contact. The one Harden got so pissed at near the end of game 1 he jumps 3′ forward to create the contact. ESPN showed Harden shooting uncontested 3s where he jumped maybe 6″ forward. Contested shots were regularly 2-4′ ahead of the launch point.
RE: Dirt’s 8:50
I doubt Zaidi would change his approach if the Giants somehow linger on the fringe of a WC spot.
Although, I don’t really know what his trade deadline plan is at the moment.
I guess he’ll listen to anything and try to somehow dump a bad contract if possible…
I would never say Draymond is a dirty player. I don’t see that at all. But the constant whining to the refs is annoying. Although, he is vowing to cut down on that.
He’s done little of that in these playoffs at least.
I see on the Adam Jones WAR ticker that he has dropped a slight tick to 0.5. That great play by Crawford cost Jones a tick.
What kind of bump did Crawford get for his WAR? That wasn’t just any spectacular play he made yesterday, the Giants do not win the game without that play.
We know he got 1.0 Fwar. I wonder if WAR will match me?
Bellinger, at 4.6, is probably the WAR leader so far. That’s pretty amazing. WAR is claiming that Bellinger has been worth about 4 1/2 wins so far for the Dodgers. If he kept that up all season, he would be prime Ted Williams.
dj, I tend to agree that Zaidi won’t be changing his approach and don’t really have much of a problem with it. The upcoming series opponents are Braves, D-Backs, Marlins, Orioles. If they can take 3 out of those 4 series to close the month they’re right were they need to be. It would be nice to see them force the issue. Or as Bochy says “step on the gas”
Anyone see this article from Forbes speculating on a Bochy/Fryers reunion?
https://www.forbes.com/sites/barrymbloom/2019/05/19/for-bruce-bochy-his-giants-days-are-nearly-behind-him-but-managing-again-remains-ahead/#4f2a8bbf5a14
And yeah, if Zito gets love for his playoff performance, then Pablo is a God among Giants. His playoff numbers are outstanding.
53 hits, 13 doubles, 6 HRs, 20 ribbies, .344 .389 .545 .935
And he sat that first playoff year right in 2010?
I was just about to comment on that. The 53 hits is remarkable considering he didn’t play much — 6 games, 19 PAs — in the 2010 WS run. He hit .310 or better in 5 of the 6 playoff series in ’12 and ’14.
I think Bochy’s done. I see him doing a lot of fishing after this october.
Going into Friday’s game, Boch’s SF record was exactly 993-993.
Will be a personal milestone for him getting to 1000 wins as a Giant manager and maybe he can hang his hat if they can play .500 ball for the rest of the season and finish at least his SF record at .500. If they do, he gets to 2000 wins…
“ankles” lol
I read that Cespedes quickly told the Mets that horseback riding was not the cause of his injury (or injuries?) Maybe he was washing a truck.
While it was moving . . .
Man, I really wanted to sign this guy.
Still think he might’ve put us over in 2016, anyway…
What, Cespedes would’ve come out of the bullpen?
Hah!
Schulman tweeted that the Giants are 17-17 in last 34 games. Those numbers don’t do the weirdness of the stretch justice, but they’re encouraging.
Pablo seems to have found his perfect role, at least with this team. Send him to the AS game!
Dirt, Thanks for the Boch article pull.
I know Bochy has strong ties still with the Padres Orq and yeah their disappointing again with Green as their skipper and they have the talent and farm system, I just personally think Boch is done both mentally and physically( what 2 heart procedures)of the demands of everyday baseball.
Time to kick back and enjoy retirement! Though like players of all sports some can never do that easily, it’s in their DNA blood to keep going, Boch did not close the books totally on not managing again, but I hope it doesn’t..
Lots of basketball players could learn a lot more about the game if they put in the time in of watching and analyzing a true warrior( no pun) like Draymond Green. Nobody puts the sweat, the time, the intensity, the heart and soul leadership as he does!!
Yes he has his moments with the refs, well lots of them lol, sometimes even justified, gets his T’s but he’s so passionate about the game they don’t even bother me overall.Green’s an awesome defender, superb passer, rebounding machine, triple double threat almost every night, and No he’s Not a “DIRTY PLAYER” he’s just more focused and tenacious then most players, so all they can do is try a give him a bad rap, cause their just jealous their not as good!!
Jordan Bell especially. Bell has an opportunity to be as good or better than Draymond. IF he put the work in.
There are guys in every sport that people hate but would love to have on their own team.
I guess DG is like that. Hockey is full of ’em…
I haven’t been able to log on to the Flap on my cellphone the past couple of days. It asks me to log on, then accepts my username and password, but then it doesn’t log me on. Anyone else experiencing that?
that’s lame. Kudos to you tho for taking the Flap out of the house with you. Try clearing the cache? Opening in another browser like Chrome?
I would say Chris Paul is a dirty player. Certainly dirtier than Draymond. And, Paul is a lame foul faker and foul con artist. Dray dips into some occasional “hard” play. But, usually not more than that. In the Rockets series in game 5 or 6 I think, he nailed Paul in the head with an elbow after Paul fouled him and was on the floor. Refs caught it for a T. Paul deserved it…
Just flipped over to Giants game and caught a shot of the crowd. Wow. Empty.
Hey, when are the Dubs going to make their move?
Craw bomb breaks up the perfecto.
The reffing has been fairly solid but jesus, they are calling everything against the Warriors right now.
Curry playing the entire 2nd half,
Crazy erratic playing on both teams, lucky we have better shooters in this 111-111 tie right now
Damm that 3 probably would of clinched it but clearly traveling on Curry..
Looks like OT now..
Regardless, Portland gets the ball.
They re not going to overturn this. It looks like Lillard hits the ball after it hits Klay’s arm.
The ball changes direction.
GAME!!!!!
4-0 eat shit Portland!!
To me Looney &Mckinnie we’re spectacular getting key rebounds off misses that saved their bacon 🥓
problem with playing 3 guards with R Hood in there. McKinnie ate Dame up on that board.
Looney has become my fav Warrior, doesn’t make bad decisions or take dumb shots, goes hard after boards at both ends sets killer screens to free up shooters.
Looney is really coming around.
kaepernick sighting going to the Western Conference trophy thing.
Dubs, Dubs, Dubs.
Heart of a champion.
5 straight NBA finals. Only the old time Celts did that.
Fine game from the bench players.
Draymond a lion, as usual. He and Steph with trip doubles.
This is historic stuff. Even though basketball is a secondary sport for me, this is just totally enjoyable.
Old time Dubs fans and long time loyal season ticketers have to be just loving this…
Bay Area sports tonight: The Dubs and the Drubbed.
Doris Burke said supposedly Momma Green &Draymond’s GF told him, hey just chill out with the refs and play basketball, great advice obviously 🙄 and it’s making him even more dominant..
First time in NBA history two guys on the same team (Dray and Steph) have triple doubles in the same game in the playoffs.
I’ve had a few triple doubles, but it was alcohol 🥃🥃🥃
Cool hand Luke! Love it! Re Curry..on the drive to the basket just before the traveling call he was hammered trying the layup. Fuck that is so lame he doesn’t get a foul there! We won so it didn’t matter, but it was horrible
