Dicky Does It
Honestly, I had no idea who Alex Dickerson was. He’s played in the big leagues too, I usually have a pretty good recollection of everyone if they’ve played a recent full season and he played a halfway decent half a season with the Padres in 2016. In one game he did more than Duggar has ever done in his career. That’s quite the indictment of Duggar. He and Pillar were easy co-players of the game….

Second time at least tonite I’ve seen Belt take a called strike on pitch up and away over outside corner early in the count. If they are shifting oh him like everyone else does, he’s got whole left side of field to work with, but he won’t swing at it.
and then grounds out weakly. arggh If you play it right you can beat the shift if the P goes away from his D.
Speaking of things we were coached as youngsters, I remember the one about when you’re rounding the bases (especially going 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to home), always hit the bag with your right foot, that shortens the route to the next base. Always bugs me to see major leaguers hit the bag with their left foot, especially rounding 3rd, which takes them further into foul ground and requires an extra step or so to make it home. It’s the little things in life….

I heard the song Yours Is No Disgrace today and it really kicked my ass. I mean, I’ve heard that song many times over the years and it always sounded alright to me, but I never owned it or any Yes/prog rock stuff. Today though, it just dawned on me that that is an incredible song that takes you on a helluva journey.
And I wasn’t high either.
I’m more open to prog rock than I used to be. I’ve mentioned listening to Rush. The band King’s X is an interesting mix of hard rock and prog.
One of my Sirius stations will play “Black Flag” by Kings X from time to time. I had never heard that tune until recently, but I really like it. I’m a sucker for a rock song with catchy backing vocals.
I’m part of King’s X’s small but loyal following. 🙂
