As The Losses Pile Up, Flappers Unite

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on June 28, 2019

Sure enough, shut down easily by a AAA pitcher. Happens all the time. But you know what? Who cares, this is what happens when you are the second worst team in the National League. Normally I’d be doing a slow burn over last night’s impotent showing. Not today. For another Flapalooza awaits.

If history is any indication I will chronicle our rise to power at Oracle this evening on twitter. You can follow the coup in all it’s glory @1flapdown77

Yeah, 2nd worst in the NL standings but dead last in the Run Differential department. So we’ve got that going for us.
A season of balls hit to pop-up alley.

Amazing how the Giants can’t ever beat a stiff.Young’s era was 6.09 with the Reno Aces yet comes up for an emergency start and no-hits them thru 3 before Belt took him deep.5 innings overall the 1 run on 2 hits? Not one coach should keep his job next year,Z has to fire 🔥 them all!!!

it’s interesting how Pence changed his approach and how well he has done. New hitting coach or not, I don’t see other Giants vet IF guys doing that.

Much of what Will Clark said in Huff’s podcast. He ripped the Giants palyers for not working constantly to improve their hitting…

Kruk on KNBR this am basically agreed Buster has to be pushed down to the 6 or 7 hole. If Kruk agrees, it must be going to happen. He also said he wouldn’t be surprised if Vogt catches more because of his bat…

This Pence rebirth is incredible. He was one of the worst outfielders in baseball for 2 years. Park change? New swing? At his age how does this happen? Steroids? He’s not really the type to do that, right?

    • djloo27 said, on June 28, 2019 at 11:44 am

Maybe he was drinking too much coffee or got himself off some idiot diet that Lexi had him on…

  5. djloo27 said, on June 28, 2019 at 11:47 am

If they trade Bum to Texas, I would have a team to root for…

Anyone but the Yanks does it for me.

What time y’all hitting the public house?

    • djloo27 said, on June 28, 2019 at 1:03 pm

Flavor said he would be there at 5:00.
Do I have to organize this thing from 3,000 miles away?

  7. unca_chuck said, on June 28, 2019 at 1:30 pm

Obviously, yes! You need any giants swag, DJ? A bobble-head or anything?

    • unca_chuck said, on June 28, 2019 at 1:31 pm

A program? Not that I’d fill it out or anything , , ,

      • djloo27 said, on June 28, 2019 at 2:15 pm

Thanks, Chuck. I’m at the point where I’m unloading more than collecting.
Wish I could buy a round. Make sure you have a toast to Twin & Stix…

I wish a guy like Will Clark are Chili Davis would be the hitting coach over the 2 headed idiots we have now.Problem is Will are Chili probably don’t even know how to spell anaylitics are what it’s supposedly used for..

  10. Macdog said, on June 28, 2019 at 3:03 pm

Have a great Flapalooza tonight, despite the on-field product.

  11. Flavor said, on June 28, 2019 at 3:08 pm

Pillar has to hit a bomb for me tonight right?

  12. Macdog said, on June 28, 2019 at 3:18 pm

Haha, already seeing tweets from Flav.

  13. Flavor said, on June 28, 2019 at 3:26 pm

By the way I came upon another $25 gift card today (Mac I’m assuming you got yours). It’s a little late but let’s 🔥 another bomb contest. First his t bomb plus total number of hits/strikeouts from 2 starters. I’ll go with pillar and 15

    • Flavor said, on June 28, 2019 at 3:28 pm

Sorry: “first giant to hit a bomb”

      • birddogpdx said, on June 28, 2019 at 3:42 pm

We will do that, DJ. I also lost a very good friend who was a huge Giants fan. He was a ball dude, and his mom (who is 93 now) is going into the Hall of Fame for being one of the Spry Seniors at the Stick, and also a ball dudette. I posted something on FB a little while ago about him. Rest in Peace, Pat.

This story is about Pat’s mom and his sister. It is pretty fucking cool of all involved.

Tremendous night last night all around. Great to see and chat with all the guys, SanDawg Flav Chuck and Snarkk and Giants played well all around, scoring early and often.
Only downer at all was rather long train ride home which contributes to why Big Guy (who rises pretty dang early every day) might be a little late getting his thread up today—something he thankfully does for all of us and helps keep us all together yapping with each other over shared enthusiasm for baseball and each other.

    • willedav said, on June 29, 2019 at 8:20 am

And we did meet up with Zum before game in the Public House, wonderful guy and yes Beatles were discussed, lol.

  30. alleykat69 said, on June 29, 2019 at 9:07 am

Sounds like a great Flapalozza for all, really wished I could of attended getting a skink on with you guys!
Great you boys were able to bring home a winner!Nice night for a struggling Posey with 3 hits and 2 Ribs, Crawford as well with 2 doubles, and “The Dick” with a bomb to make a winner for Loo!

    • willedav said, on June 29, 2019 at 9:11 am

ha yes consensus was we all helped Posey/Craw get revitalized. giants had what 12 hits last night? The Dick bomb went right over our heads in RF seats and the one Posey missed by inches was to our left. Nice place to see a game too, if bit chilly and wind picked up as game went on.
AK we missed you too. Hope your health problems improve over time this summer. rest up and recover!

  31. alleykat69 said, on June 29, 2019 at 9:39 am

    Thanks Willied!
Yeah I’m scheduled to get a cortisone shot in my right hip the day of the All-Star game, hoping that will kick in and give instant relief for 3-6 months?

  32. Flavor said, on June 29, 2019 at 9:54 am
