Climbing Everest, Rather Easily
Once again, my predictive powers were on full display, all you needed to do was take a look at that headline: Mile High Beat Down. Man, I know how to call ’em, eh?
It was high time to put that thread in the past. Possibly the most wrong I’ve ever been about anything in my life.
What is up with Brandon Crawford? The dude gets 7 hits in a game 2 years ago….then does nothing for 2 years….then hits 3 bombs and 9 RBI’s yesterday. He. Is. A. Weirdo.
There are nearly no words for what Smarge, DRod and the bullpen did. Without question the best pitching performance on a single day in SF history at Coors Field—more improbable than Zito’s complete game shutout back in 2012. Considering everything they had stacked against them that might be the most impressive pitching performance since Nomo threw his NoNo.
Freshly updated odds to make the post season/win WS
Agree with Loo, how can we be 2.3% to make the post season but 0.0% to win the WS? That’s nonsense. Even if we snuck in as the 2nd WC we’d be listed at no worse than 20-1 at that point which is 5%. How can Fangraphs get away with 0.0%??????
Guess the speed of light is slow up here in Oregon. I missed it on my 14″ TV. 4-1, Zman’s wet dream is coming true.
Smith not really giving me the warm and fuzzies right now.
And now even moreso. Fuuuuck.
Crap.
where’s Blade?
Dang it Desmond kills us.
Oh fuck.
TFL returns…
shite
Unbelievable a Smith choke job!
Ever since the All star game he hasn’t been right..
I wanna go to a game in Denver some day. That whole altitude business. I wonder if it helps Viagra to kick in quicker.
Lulz
zum, is that Havlicek on your 2:22?
That’s Bobby Jones of the 76ers dunking on Larry Bird in a playoff game. Not sure what year.
some move
Ahhh. Couldn’t figure out who that was. Looked like a Bullets uni.
fuck . . . this is feeling like so many coors games; knots in the stomach … that CRAZY extra inning oh for fuckin fucksake
It seems I am getting everything kinda late, like OSF. For all i know we lost 5-4
Nope, onto extra innings.
Jeeeebus. Fooled by the hanging curve.

So having a little hope for the Giants is a good thing
Very cool park, Pawlie. The sightlines of the rockies from the RF side of the park are great. Gorgeous sunsets if you hit a night game.
And a cool city, right?
Well without that Yaz Homer we would all be pissed off right now..
Well, we are a tad pissed off anyway. To blow that lead.
Pablo needs to get out of this slump right now.
like NOW
Is Melancon pitching the bottom of the 10th? Yikes.
If we get the lead, I think not,
I booked a trip to Tuscany in November. I intend to come back with an Italian bride in need of a green card. it happens. Third time the charm.
Mac, where do I stand on my Back to the Flap Parameters?
Wow. The Dick.
Wow. The big Dick comes through again. Blackmon gave us that run.
wow another clutch rbi for WAD
Dicky!
Dick isn’t even up on my feed!
Nice battle and Panda gets the walk!
It’s Dick time!
Yes sir I’m getting a high altitude Boner!!
I gotta check my settings; I’m a fecking batter behind, at least.
Craw is reborn.
Crawdaddy doing the job for an insurance run!!
Keep that line moving.
Yeah Craw!
what are the Rox paying Davis? Man what a deal gone south.
$18 mil this year $18 next year. Ouch
Yazzzzzzz!
Yazzz!!
another timely base knock. Yaz loves this place.
Hot Yaz!
Want to see more runs. More more more.
Areno-no! Keep ’em coming.
The hitters have to be thanking Will Smith for letting them tack on to their stats.
I like that. That’s a positive way to look at it.
“Always look on the bright side of life”.
And the craziness continues on a boot by Arenado..
Hey Pawlie, that’s now 51 RBI for Pillar, I think you had 55. Dick still 6 HRs away from 10.
Ooops, no RBI on the Arenado E.
Kuiper made a mistake on that. He said RBI.
Will Smith is simply allowing the hitters to pile on so that James’s coveted RS/RA differential *imporves.
Here comes the torture. Melonhead style.
Jesus. Mac the Oaf would be on the DL if he did any of the last 5 Pillar grabs.
Pillar, just Wow.
Pillar is the Brooks Robinson of CFs…
great way to put it.
My goodness, Pillar.
Jean Claude Van Damme sporting a Giants wife beater dancing like a chihuahua.
Where? What? And Why?
ball fucking game!
Pillar HAS to get the Gold Glove, or ….
And now out of last place( thank you Padres for losing)and tied with the Rockies!!
Keep rolling Giants!!!
There you have it.
Another vulture W for Smith!
A muthafeckin W! Again.
As a Flannery O’Connor book title put it, “Everything that rises must converge.” Look out, wild carders!
and you can add Padres to the list of teams formerly ahead of them Giants just passed..3 down
yup
Where is Rockie-obsessed Blade?
There’s a whole storyline growing which is about giving Bochy a run for the playoffs in his last season. Hold off on the rebuild to give Bochy a chance in his last season. That’s a narrative that Zaidi probably wasn’t seeing as a big factor, but it is growing out there in Giants Land. Bochy even did some campaigning for that on a KNBR interview. It hadn’t really been a big factor in my mind. I figure he’s getting $6 million this season, I’m not really focused on Bochy, but it’s a big deal to a lot of Giants fans.

@samihiggins
“It’s like the Giants just woke up after a three year nap and are finishing the 2016 season”
Giants ERA in 3 games @Coors 2.25.
Pitching and Defense over power. Rox pitching falls apart Giants 11 singles and 2 walks beat them even after Smith 2 HR meltdown.
Even with the Smith meltdown, the pitching has been phenomenal lately.
12-3 PFI (post-flap invasion)
