A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Another Win

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on July 27, 2019

Was that perhaps the best catch a Giants fan has ever made? Cradling a baby in one arm he bare hand catches the winning home run wearing a Mays jersey in a road park. If it wasn’t the best catch it was right up there.

Ok, I am now officially on the road. Let the madness ensue….

this guy should have been out the first time. Now he tries to steal 3b with Machado up and 5-1 lead.

Margot’s crazy baserunning helps us out..

Giants must think Urias is hitting .860 instead of .068.

pillar now 4 for last 32. who else plays CF? Yaz did last week when Pillar got tossed iirc.

hardly alone with an 0-4 tonite. Tatis has 3 hits, Giants entire team has 4.

Dick dick dick and Yaz have cooled off, so we aren’t doing anything.

SF basically has not been hitting since it came off the last roadie.
It’s going to catch up with them…

Yaz can play some center.Give Pillar a blow tomorrow, along, with Belt for sure.Shit put Posey over at 1st for a game. They have a few options to try imo..

They could go with Sandoval at first and give Green a longer look at third. Give Green a chance.
Longo’s injury was eventually going to bite the Giants.

I thought Green was raking in Sac.. They brought the guy up. Play him…

Snarkk..One thing about Boch even itill the bitter end he will go with the vet and wear him down to a pulp.Green should definitely be getting a string of starts, and Boch can still keep his all-time favorite bromance with Panda going by playing him at 1st and benching Belt some games who’s totally useless right now…

Great point by Zumie about the apparent end of Buster’s 1B career.
Exactly 14 innings this year. Not games, innings…

Yeah I don’t get that.Posey ketches 16 inning games, he seems to get all the extra inning ones, yet doesn’t want a breather game at 1st anymore? He truly is dedicated in catching and personally he’s still one of the best,3 rings they don’t win without him calling the games, still a cannon arm behind the plate, one of the best at framing pitches.Just for the sake of not having to see Belt right now, dust off that 1st base glove for a start are 2..

This article from a couple of days ago lays out very well what snarkk, blade and others here have been saying all along…

error here on Longo deal: Giants gave up Span and Arroyo plus 2 minor league pitchers. One (Crook) is still in AA ball with 4.57 ERA and the other (Woods) is a 24 yr old in A ball. Hard to quantify either of them as quality prospects, and the other 2 most Giants fans won’t miss either.

I can see the point of selling but no one is trading the next Tatis for Sam Dyson. That’s where the sporting news column loses me. You have to draft and develop those guys and Giants appear to be well on their way to doing that. Ramos will add much needed speed and maybe some power to OF.
Bart will take C (or 1b if they move him there) to a position of strength. They drafted IF guys and have more pitching. I could live without the others but Bum would be tough to lose as role model to all the young guys. He can be bridge and provide 2-3 decent more years to next winning group. There are lot of .500 is teams in NL and Giants imo are solidly in that group. Getting to next level will take some more moves, probably to come in off season.
