Easy Win
Brett Anderson is imminently rake-able. I don’t understand how his ERA is under 4.00 or how he has a winning record. With Bum toeing the rubber (one of my favorite baseball sayings) it feels like Game 1 of the Bay Bridge Series is ours for the taking.
4-6 in our last 10. This has to get turned around quickly if we want meaningful games in September.
WTF???
I’d take him out. Lots of pitches here…
Channeling B-Dub here….
Can;t believe Boch didn’t pull Smith.
Keep pounding inside.
Dude is on fumes
Whew!
Torture!!!
Gutty performance by Smith
What a fucking nail biter….holy shit.
Holy shit, that was tense. Back to .500!
Wow.
3Ks, in between a ton of pitches.
Smith is done for 3 games.
Guy needs a blow.
Much needed first game win in the Series !…
wow yeah I was thinking what Kuiper said, that was Wilson esque.
Torture Redux Supreme (TRS).
I have to go find my defibrillator…clear!
victory!
Jesus..Smith is giving me a coronary attack!!
WTF Boch?? 37 pitches, definitely No Smith tomorrow, but a fucking win somehow, nothing easy with this bunch!
Smith looks like he could use a 10 day IL visit to regroup and let that arm get some rest and rejuvenation…
Sarge comes through saw hella exciting game.
Either Hank or Shea mentioned too, with how well Giants have played attendance is back up–35 thou plus for entire Phils series, plus tonite and likely tmw too.
Bryan Reynolds is 3rd in the NL in batting average, and has a chance to be the first rookie in NL history to win a batting title. I’d lost track of him because the Pirates are now 20 games under .500.
I had never heard of him when we made the trade—thus I liked the trade. Then a friend of mine who knows an MLB scout said that guy told him he really liked Reynolds and the Giants made a big mistake.
Could you imagine how crazy we’d be going if we had him? Dick is 29 and had 6 good games and we went nuts. Reynolds is a legit young rising star.
*eminently rake-able
Loo: CHICO VEJAR.
Great story, PK. Surprised I never heard of him.
I’d say equally deserving of having a street named after him was one Angris McKeithan…
A’s are 67-52 yet find themselves 2.5 game behind Tampa in WC.
giants 60-60 and 3.5 back.
Way to bring home a W, Sarge! Helluva game!
Nice win!
