Lots Of Questions, Answers Pending
Four big ones today. Bummed that work is getting in the way of me partaking. Can Tampa Bay shock the world? Can Atlanta rally and take down the best pitcher in the NL (second half)? Will Minnesota ever break the spell the Yankees have on them? Finally, can Kershaw finally step up and pitch well in the post season? I’m talking about the entire post season, not some one-off game here and there…..
Picked a good day to work from home. Curious to see how Verlander does. Still think they are the team to beat by far. These 5 game series can go any which way, though.
Mark Kotsay would not be a shocking choice, a lot of managers now being hired are 1st year hires as teams pass over the retreads. Major plus his wife Jamie is smoking hot and if she’s in the interview room process it’s a Sharon Stone Basic Instinct moment!
She’s a looker alright, but a little too slim below the waist for me…
Good game last night between the Chop and Redbirds. Growing up a big Cards fan, of course they are my pick for the NL. In the AL…I think Charlie is right in that the Stros look like the team to beat, but I am pulling big time for the underdog Rays.
Just waiting for someone to send the fucking dodgers home (probably is not going to be the Nats).
I was pulling for the Brewers in the wild card. My daughter dated a guy (actually got quite serious for a while) who was at the time they were dating, the pitching coach at Sacramento State. He went from there to be head coach at Menlo College where he turned that program around, and then to a small school in Rocklin (William Jessup), who had never had a winning season, and he took them whiskers away from a world series (NAIA, I believe) berth. He signed-on last year with the Brewers as a pitching instructor, roving from site to site, and just got a long-term deal with them.
My hope is Cards – Rays, and even though I still have some love for the Cards, it would be cool to see the underdog Rays win it all. WTF…our Band of Misfits did it in 2010….
He wasn’t a Giant but he was still Jack the Ripper! Love the slow roll around the bases.
so great.
Watch the next one after Jack. Again, not a Giant but it is a great jawing match between Cub mgr Dusty Baker and Tony (asleep at the wheel) LaRussa.
Should be a hella of a series between Astros and Rays! On paper, sure Astros are more talented with their starting pitching and starting LU, but if Rays get a lead early watch out, their Bullpen is outstanding, with several guys hitting 98+and they don’t care who they use in any matchups as 11different pitchers had a save this year, quite a remarkable stat..
Stros up 2-0 after the Toy Cannon (Jose Altuve) jacks a 2 run bomb.
Oooops.
heh. 4-0.
6-0 meh
Duval with the 2 run bomb! Bravos up 3-0.Gawd i hate the chop. Most annoying thing in sports. Even over beach balls.
Agree Chuck,the chop sucks bigtime!
More annoying then when the Angels has those stupid rally monkeys 🐒 sticks!!
Though they still stick it my crawl after the W/S loss by the Giants..
Lots of ex-Giants rolling around these playoffs.
Wow former Giant Adam Duvall just hit a huge 2 run bomb pinch hitting…3-0 Braves
OMG 😮Are the Braves nuts 🥜???
Their bringing in Melonface to try and close out a 3-0 lead..When did he become their closer??
They have no one better?
My main man Rudy G in row 2 behind the plate…
Rudy Rudy Rudy
Your 5ft nuthin,120 nuthin, and you have no athletic skill!!!
married his fucking cousin. How come no one ever talks about that?
His father was an enforcer for the mob and served time in Sing Sing for felony assault and robbery. The deal about marrying his cousin was another scam, i.e., the best man at his wedding became a priest later in life and was able to get Rudy an annulment by discovering and citing the cousin loop hole.
Wasn’t his wife sick at the time?
Bases loaded. Would love to see a bomb here.
. . . and bye bye Kershaw.
LoDuca not in the mood to joke around about his boy Kersh
I have to admit, I’m not clear on what is happening with that. My Twitter skills are almost nonexistent.
😂 Glad I am not the only one, Z.
Watching today”s baseball game I bet SF got little offers for Mad Bum. Why? Down in a 5 game series in a MUST win game one of the best pitchers in the game has zero walks, 3 hits TEN K’s. Removed after 86 pitches. A playoff stud who can shut down the other team and save the bullpen for the next game is useless today according to the current Gm’s and managers. so STUPID. I will almost be glad if one of the worst bullpens in baseball blows the lead. And that last sentence was painful to write.
I think you’re onto something, ‘dude.
Plus he was a rental…
OK just kidding. Go Nats!
No fucking idea how Rendon caught that. Wow!
Dogpile is flushed down the LAtrine.
Yay Nats!
Wow…what a finish. Suck on it bambinos.
That got crazy at the end as it always does at Dodger Stadium.
Nats needed a split and got it!! October postseasons suckage of Kershaw continues!!
Dodgers tonight not A-OKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.
The Nats almost Natted the game away. A baserunning blunder, a questionable managerial move, and sketchy bullpen work.
Giving up3 ain’t terrible but Opie wears the loss.
