Not Yet Bowled Over
Still no SF news other than the surprising Dubs thumbing their nose at the #1 pick in next year’s draft. Irritating. But you can’t harness the championship gene. Draymond always said they’re cut from a different cloth.
Trying to get into the Bowl season, no such luck so far. Maybe today gets me going?
couple super games today. LSU is tremendous and I love their coach. Clemson is champs til someone knocks them off. Okies get to play no respect card (and have a QB champ going in)and Ohio St. ran through conference. Good stuff…way too much sports going on right now to keep up with everything. Good for GS to win a few. Just say no to tanking!
And btw Flav Stanford men b-ball are in top 10 for the NET rating, with SanDawg’s SD st. Aztecs the new #1.
LSU is going to change the Sooners name to Laters.
What the hell is a Sooner anyway?
A settler???
Thinking about what Loo said about SF getting creative re: trading Craw and Belt. If ownership is OK with taking on $12mil in Cozart deal just for a prospect, gotta believe they’d OK a deal for Belt sending back equal $$ to get better prospect back.
As for Craw, at some point Z GM and Kap sit down with him and let him know they are looking at different options for his position this season and he isn’t guaranteed 500 ABs anymore. Sure he has the NTC, but they can ask him if there are places he’d be OK with to either get more playing time/ or on more of a contending team.
Memphis going with the D-Backs’ chimney-soot look in the Cotton Bowl vs. Penn State today.
That was a nice win by the Warriors last night. Draymond is hoisting that team on his shoulders and willing them to victory. This is one of Draymond’s finest moments.
“What the hell is a Sooner anyway?”
The original Sooners were cheaters. The U.S. government was giving away yet more Native American land to white settlers, and there was a date this particular giveaway was going to start. White settlers lined up at the starting line. When the “go” signal was given, they took off; but they found that some people had sneaked out earlier, “sooner” than they were supposed to, and cheated their way to some of the choicest spots. They were basically allowed to get away with it, despite protest.
That’s the proud heritage of the name.
So some devious settlers decided to get their horses /wagons moving sooner then later to throw their stake in the ground? Man I think a legitimate claim settler should of had the right to shoot are drive the stake thru their gutless heart!
Great game so far LSU&Oklahoma both moving the ball at will.Terrible no call pass interference play,so obvious and yet no ref chucked a flag hmm 🤔
Joe Burrow sure is going to help the hapless Bungals next year though, the guys a baller 🤑
Joe Burrow is just relentless throwing pin point TD passes! LSU routing the Sooners 35-7 and it still in the 2nd quarter..
49-14 at the half, is it to early for the Tigers to start taking a knee?
The game is over way ‘sooner’ than expected.
This game just shows the need for an 8 team playoff.
The rankings of the schools are a joke. You can see it in some of the Bowl games. A higher ranked team comes in and gets its butt kicked by the lower ranked team.
BTW, I guarantee Cal would not get blown out like this. I watched some highlights of these passing TDs; the OKLA secondary is friggin’ clueless, what a mess. Cal’s pass defense is way better than that…
well actually it doesn’t. The 3 best teams were clearly Ohio St LSU and Clemson, period. Normally I would agree, start with 16 like they do in FCS and work your way to finals, but no one else belongs here except top 3.
LSU would hammer punchless Cal like they do other SEC teams, 35-0.
Hey at least they are bowling!
one common opponent, Ole Miss. Cal strained to win 28-20. LSU scored 58 on them. Hey soft spot for Cal but with 5 Ls in a weak Pac 12, no I can’t see them bothering LSU, who is best team in the whole country.
I didn’t say Cal would beat LSU.
I said they wouldn’t have given gotten blown out like that; no giving up 7 TD throws in a first half.
And, they wouldn’t have…
Marlins signing Dickerson effectively closes another door on Puig.
Sorry guys, it can still happen…
Steven Souza Jr come on down from the dumpster dive bin if you ask me Loo…
Nice one MacDog!
Grass Roots had another huge hit “Midnight Confessions”
Live for Today (2 3 4 sha la la la la..). Buddy of mine in HS who used to drive us around to play b-ball had AM radio in his push button dodge dart.
Kings fans are starting to lose patience with Bagley. Injured and out yet again. Holmes, the journeyman, is playing well in the post.
So no Fox and Bagley yet again. You gotta be durable in this league.
I had no problem with the Kings picking Bagley instead of Doncic, but that draft decision looks real bad now because Bagley has missed so many games due to injury in his two seasons in the NBA.
Some NBA TV guy on Christmas said Doncic is a combination of Bird & Magic.
Is that possible?
I don’t see it yet. I have to see Doncic be great in the crucible of the playoffs, too.
Magic and Bird won a combined 8 championships, at a time when the overall NBA was stronger, IMO.
When all said and done Kings fans and management are going to regret not taking Doncic over Bagley.
Just like Portland picking Sam Bowie over some guy named Michael Jordan..
Portland also took Larue Martin first over all about 100 years ago…
Snarkk, agree Cal’s D would not have looked as bad as Oklahoma. Still, they gave up 41 at home in Nov. to USC and their freshman QB threw for 384 yds. Burrow is way better than this kid and has explosive weapons not seen anywhere in Pac 12, which unfortunately sucked this year.
Problem for Cal vs. teams of this caliber would be that their offense wouldn’t generate drives and their D would be on the field all the time. Or at least as long as it took LSU to score, which they did early and often vs. teams like Bama and Georgia, who are again way better than Cal. Looking forward to seeing what Bears can do vs. mid level Big 10 team like Illinois probably more their speed.
