A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Unexpected Outcome

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on January 12, 2020

Weird, wild stuff in Baltimore last night. Just like Greenlaw stonewalling Hollister and setting the seedings on fire, Tennessee has done just about the same thing by knocking out the Ravens. Some dude bet $420,000 on the Ravens money line last night at -420. Would love to hear his thoughts today. Or how he went about telling his wife. On second thought there’s no way that guy has a wife.

I guess I’m rooting for Green Bay today because they’d be easier to truck than Seattle. But part of me really wants to fly over the Seahawks dead corpse on the way to Miami.

KC gets a freeroll there now, right?

Too soon?

I used to hate Richard Sherman. And if he was still with Sea I’d probably hate this clip. But I absolutely loved it. Give this man some respect. It’s interesting, he seems to really need the recognition. Otherwise, why would he be so passionate about this?

I have no idea if all that stat talk is actually true.
If it is, and I assume it is, then I have no problem with that; I believe in “no brag, just fact”…

He hasn’t had a nice rant like that as a 49er. He has been fairly low-key. His debut so to speak. Even before his injury, he got a lot of flak for not being a pure press-man cover guy.

    • unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 10:41 am

Sherman’s a pain in the ass, and he’s our pain in the ass jnow, but the “You mad, bro?” deal with Brady had me laughing for a week.

Even the exchange with Crabtree in the playoffs made me laugh, as Crabs handled it well, but the rant to Erin Whatsherface was silly.

mm I think chuck is right–less mobile the QB the better. If you can take away Jones and running game like they did to Cook yesterday, getting to Rodgers is way different. That first time around was a thrash, he couldn’t do anything.
Plus if it turns out Seattle can’t handle snow and GB, all the more props to Greenlaw who effectively sealed their doom. I can use his name forever to shut up seachickens fans for good.
The Tennessee Tuxedos lol that was awesome. Vrabel who outcoached Belichick last week made Harbs look dumbfounded when things went awry.

watched late game Oregon at home vs. ASU. In the house was premier scorer Eddie House to watch his freshman son Jaelen come off bench for Sun Devils. Pops was local guy out of Hayward HS, who set bunch of records for Sun Devils. Supposedly he wanted to go to Cal Berkeley but they wanted him to go to JC instead.
Couple years later he put 61 points on them. 10 years NBA career, lifetime .390 from 3.

Big mistake by Ravens by sticking with an obvious banged up Mark Ingram.Should of used Gus Edwards more and established the run early on.Edwards had 3 carries for 20 yards??Why were they sticking to a pass game so much early, which isn’t their strength?
Greg Roman got schooled last night by the Titans!!

  6. unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 10:25 am

Lamar Jackson threw 59 passes. Unreal. But the big lead by Tenn made Balt panic. They were flustered early and it carried over for the last 3 quarters. That’s on Harbaugh giving up on the run game too early.

Tell ya one thing, the 49ers have made a lot of double digit comebacks over the course of this season. I’m not positive, but I don’t think Balt ever had to do that.

  7. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 10:52 am

Their was a time awhile back when a lot of people wanted the dinosaurs Fangio&Roman running the show with the 49ers.Sure glad that never came to fruition.More then thrilled having a offensive genius /HC in Shanahan and a fiery DC in Saleh who players would run thru a wall for. The new wave coaches like the new wave QB’s that can scramble is the future of the NFL..

Kansas City Chiefs DT Chris Jones ruled out with a calf injury.Huge loss as he’s one of their best defensive players..

What is it with Vikings OCs becoming head coaches? The comatose Shurmur with the Giants two years ago, and now Kevin Stefanski is going to the Browns, who must’ve been impressed by the 7 first downs and 10-point showing yesterday.

  10. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 11:53 am

Their must be something in the water in Ohio.
2 Football Organizations, Browns&Bengals who year in and year out are the laughingstocks of football, with no vision on how to turn their programs around..

  11. snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:14 pm

Niners and KC have wide open runways to the Super Bowl.
They’ll never have any better shot than this at landing there…

    • alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:17 pm

Somebody forgot to tell Houston about that Snarkk..

  13. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:15 pm

Texans come out firing for a 54 yard TD . No Chief around on broken coverage!
I can only imagine Loo’s horrified face..

KC looking nervous. 2 blown plays early on.

  15. unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:19 pm

Sorry DJ. 14-0 Houstons. Blocked punt.

Jeesus. KC celebrated when Balt lost last night.

    They look retarded.

  24. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:40 pm

And the hits just keep on coming for the Chiefs!
21-0!!!! Should of brought out their 69 Chiefs team to play instead..

  25. unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:42 pm

Hard to pin this on Reid, but jesus the Chiefs sure don’t look ready for prime time today. 2 dropped 3rd down passes, a blocked punt, and a blown coverage on the deep pass.

    21 – 0.

KC can easily come back, but we’ll see how they respond. Annnnnd Hartman fumbles the kickoff.

    • djloo27 said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:44 pm

They have 3 quarters to make this up.
KC needs a few big plays the rest of the game, and get a turnover or two.
Doesn’t help if the WRs keep dropping balls…

  28. unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:45 pm

    Unreal. KC is totally gagging.

  29. snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:47 pm

    Niners v Titans?
Bosa and rest of D line and Lbackers taking on that road grader Derrick Henry. Would be interesting…

    • alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:51 pm

Texans would get the home game matchup against Tennessee, not that it matters in these playoffs..

I can’t remember seeing a team fall apart quite like this……

  31. unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:48 pm

  33. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 12:55 pm

  35. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:02 pm

Should of showed the killer instinct and gone for it O’Brien, that was being a puss! Worse you have them backed up on their 10 yard line..

    • snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:04 pm

Agreed. These spineless coaches are a problem. Walsh was not like that. He was all into going for the throat early…

  36. snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:05 pm

KC got the big play they needed, that long kick runback. Now, they’ve got some momentum with a quick TD after it…

    THIS GAME IS OVER

  39. snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:13 pm

So, HC O’Brien doesn’t go for it on 4th and 1 inside the oppo 15, but instead risks a fake punt way inside his own territory, and it blows up?
    Are these HCs’ high?…

  40. Macdog said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:13 pm

    WTF Texans?

  41. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:15 pm

    Bone head coaching there.

  42. unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:15 pm

The Houstons doing their best to let KC back. You line up and snap it You don’t let KC realign their punt coverage.

  43. snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:16 pm

That idiotic fake punt disaster is the second big play KC needed. That one was handed to them…

  44. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:17 pm

Both Coaches should be fired at halftime!

  48. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:24 pm

Just horrible decisions by O’Brien and his coaching staff!!

    • djloo27 said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:27 pm

      Not falling for it.
Chiefs are chronic losers who can’t stand prosperity…

  49. snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:26 pm

And, Houston is near bottom of the NFL in defensive stats…

  50. snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:30 pm

If KC can’t take this game now, after getting a massive comeback handed to them, then they deserve the dustbin…

  51. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:37 pm

21-0 4th and a yard on their own 10, that’s the stupid coaching that will come back and haunt them, along with the, well I guess I have to make up for that blunder by going for the fake punt in my own territory..

    • snarkk said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:44 pm

If Texans lose, O’Brien surely has to be fired.
You can’t choke and give away a 24-0 lead in less than one quarter of time…

    • unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:51 pm

Yeah, if you have the chance to go up by 28, you go for it on 4th down. The Bill Walsh philosophy of stand on their fucking throats and don’t lwt up until you put them out of their misery,

  52. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:46 pm

2 completely insane opposite quarters of football!!

  53. unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:49 pm

Unbelievable. And Fairbairn shanks it. Even that would have given the Houstons something.

KC gets the ball to start the 3rd.

  54. alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:54 pm

You can’t screwup a lead like that Houston, when you have them buried and the crowd shocked!
This is Alleykat and I approve this message..

  55. Flavor said, on January 12, 2020 at 1:56 pm

O’brien is terrible. This is what I said about him last week. He’s been worse this week.
Flavor said, on January 4, 2020 at 3:05 pm (Edit)
Bill O’Brien is completely overrated. He loses nearly every game I watch them play. Challenging that PI call early was dumb and something a fan might do. Head coach gotta be better.

  56. unca_chuck said, on January 12, 2020 at 2:11 pm

I think you can breathe now, DJ. Houston isn’t coming back.

      • alleykat69 said, on January 12, 2020 at 2:33 pm
