Something I’m not understanding: How does *opening up part of the country* get the economy going again? Isn’t the economy just completely fucked right now? Who is buying cars? Houses? Nobody. Letting Ma and Pa open up the Dixie Mart in Bumblefuck, Wisconsin ain’t gonna get ‘er done.
I don’t think Americans are grasping the enormity of what’s happening right now; and what is coming…..

We’re at “war,” so I tried to find some stats quickly on WW2 casualty rates for comparison’s sake. 16 million Americans served in the war. 300,000 died in combat or a little less than 2%.
With a total population of 140,000,000, there was probably a very good chance you wouldn’t have personally known anyone killed in action.
