A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Losing By A Carton of Freaking Eggs

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on August 17, 2020

I’ll give Kap credit. He tried the *take a big lead* approach and that didn’t work the first two games. So yesterday he tried the *get your ass kicked right out the gate and mount a furious comeback* approach. Sadly, that too failed. I hope he was taking copious notes on how to hold a lead as the A’s did with no problem on Sunday….

That was, WITHOUT QUESTION, the most embarrassing series we’ve ever played against Oakland.

The bore core made the plays to save them that inning along with a great job by Garcia to get that last out, leaving Trout on deck..

If I was the Giants pitching coach, I would make Tyler Rogers pitch standing on his head…

Kap still has his best defenders out there and everyone up and down lineup has contributed tonite. Still has RH available on bench
Belt has hit ball hard maybe he gets more ABs he comes around a bit.

I’d love for Belt to make an improbable comeback, but all of the RHers he faced were throwing under 93. The lefty had him pop out weakly to LF, something we’ve seen way too much of over the last few years.

The Trevor Gott 9th is looming.

these guys with their bleached dred tips — how’re we supposed to know who they are? Bad brand management.

If Gott pitches, we’re gonna have to go a lot deeper than the fucking beatles to assess this one

Gott is a concept by which we measure our pain.

  6. alleykat69 said, on August 17, 2020 at 9:39 pm

Yeah Watson was to dominate to pitch the 9tt inning.
U all know his bromance boy Gott will get the call, and the nightmare will continue!

Same question as I asked during the top of the ninth Saturday night…who pitches the 9th for SF? Perhaps Kapler is lucky there are no fans in the stadiums. If it happens again tonight, at least he would be happy he’s no longer managing the Phillies and that only cardboard would be there back at Willie Mays Plaza.

    Um Gottes Willen!

  9. willedav said, on August 17, 2020 at 9:42 pm

Maybe there’s “I’ve Gott to admit it’s getting better” moment.

John Gotti’s crime mob will be putting out a hit on Gott if he blows this one ☝️

Good way to avoid pitching to Trout…

    • sandog said, on August 17, 2020 at 9:57 pm

Took the bat ouf of his hands big-time!

  22. chipower9 said, on August 17, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Worst four game stretch I can remember. To lose three of the last four in this fashion,..unbelievable.

  23. sandog said, on August 17, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Just shaking my head……..the fact that this is a throw-away year numbs the pain a bit.

  24. alleykat69 said, on August 17, 2020 at 9:59 pm

He’s freaked out now, yeah like Loo mentioned Gott practically undressed him self with all kinds of gyrations before the 1st batter! Watson was cruising ,why is it a standard to go with a closer who now has given up 5 bombs in his last 3 starts!!

    • djloo27 said, on August 17, 2020 at 10:09 pm

      Right, Kat?
He looked like a mental patient.
      I would know…

        Lol 😂 Loo
I’ve had my One Flew over the Cuckoos moments a few time.
Most recently watching this club the last week🤯😳😱🤯

    Enough is enough.

As a fan, you want to give Kapler every benefit of the doubt.

But, the only name I can describe the guy at this point in the season is MEATHEAD. That is my nickname for Kapler. He is a Meathead.

Going forward, Watson has to be the closer for now and Jarlin Garcia the setup man or vice versa.

God knows who pitches the 6th and the 7th inning.

    • alleykat69 said, on August 17, 2020 at 10:11 pm

Nothing wrong with Selman’s stuff, that Meatball,Meatloaf,Meathead refuses to use..Kapler is such a tool!!

The two Mental Skills coaches are going to have their hands full with Gott.

  30. snarkk said, on August 17, 2020 at 10:17 pm

I figure even Kapler won’t go to Gott for 4 consecutive save tries tomorrow night. Gott should be busy with a team of sports psycholgists…

  31. mrsprtdude said, on August 17, 2020 at 10:45 pm

Gott is snakebit and so is SF. No words. Pitch wasn’t even a strike
