Take the lead on the walk, this could be a big inning especially if they can’t throw any strikes..

  2. zumiee said, on August 22, 2020 at 8:24 pm

Wow- the game can actually be easy sometimes. Who knew?

  3. unca_chuck said, on August 22, 2020 at 8:24 pm

Unreal. I thought we were the only ones that did this. One hit, Donnie.

There it is. Just needed one hit with all these walks.

    Joey Bart.
    JB.
I wouldn’t mind if he turns into another catcher that had initials JB…

6 runs are the expectation now.

I’d take those extra baseball they throw out , most of them are barely scuffed up..

Without a crowd you can hear every batter say Fuck..

  14. alleykat69 said, on August 22, 2020 at 8:43 pm

Anderson’s low pitch count and command deserves a shot to close this one out!
    Make it so Kappy..

  15. snarkk said, on August 22, 2020 at 8:45 pm

2021-22, add Ramos, Luciano and Bishop to this squad, and maybe you’ve got a little something going…

  16. unca_chuck said, on August 22, 2020 at 8:46 pm

8 for Anderson?!? Not bad. But this is a bit of a toothless bunch of snakes.

  17. Carstie Clausen said, on August 22, 2020 at 8:49 pm

Two hits, nada walks and one unearned run through eight full. Wondering if Anderson simply needed to get free of that pitchers’ graveyard–the Box of Rox. ERA now at 3.56. None too shabby. He keeps this up and the Giants got them another solid rotation piece.

I always like when Krukow says a pitcher is gone if a batter gets on and it doesn’t happen..

  22. unca_chuck said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:00 pm

Ballgame!! Telling me Tyler Anderson would be the 1st complete game for us, I’d say you were crazy.

    • Carstie Clausen said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:01 pm

Thinking along the same lines. He sure wouldn’t have been my first choice. This might make Smyy frown a bit. Smardj might go googly-eyed. Snakes simply groan.

Has anyone figured out where the hell that came from?

  24. alleykat69 said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:00 pm

How about that a CG for Tyler Anderson, well done 👍

  25. chipower9 said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:01 pm

    Wow. Complete game!

  26. Macdog said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:01 pm

Whaddya know, a complete game! Way to go Tyler A!

Smile. That’s five in a row. Couple weeks back who couldda imagined.

  28. chipower9 said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:04 pm

Couple of threads back I suggested we would sweep the snakes. Half kiddingly, but being serious too. This especially how they score and have tightened up their D. 🧹

    • Carstie Clausen said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:13 pm

Been thinking about your wild-assed prediction, Chi. Now you are 2/3 there.

  29. chipower9 said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:07 pm

Make those crazy-ass losses in the 9th (2 A’s and one Halos) Ws, and this team would be 16-13, half a game behind Dago.

  30. djloo27 said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:12 pm

Times are gone for honest men and sometimes far too long for snakes…

  31. Carstie Clausen said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:16 pm

Milestones: This was Tyler Anderson’s first CG. Congrats, kid. New M.L. leader in runs scored. YazMaTaz. Even with good hitters around him, that guy is starting to get under the skin of a lot of pitchers, to the point that when he’s not getting base-knocks, he’s beating them with walks.

  32. zumiee said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:28 pm

Yaz is becoming a national media baseball story.

  33. djloo27 said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:33 pm

Bart is only the second San Francisco Giant to get an extra base hit in each of his first 3 games.
Hint: The other guy has the same initials…

      My boy John Bowker!!!???

        The leader of the gang!

  34. djloo27 said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:37 pm

They still have to figure out the closer situation which hasn’t been an issue during this streak.
Is Gott in the Witness Protection Program?

  35. sandog said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:44 pm

Good to see my boy GraveDugger in CF where he belongs. If he could just hit a little bit and stay healthy, I think he could help us. Kind of a Rick Miller type guy if you remember him from the AL.
    (2 big IF’S—-I know…..)

    • djloo27 said, on August 22, 2020 at 9:48 pm

      Amazing comparison!
Only you could come up with that one, Dawg…

    • James said, on August 22, 2020 at 10:06 pm

At 30 and 31, per BR the player most similar to Miller: The White Shark.

        Gregor!

  36. James said, on August 22, 2020 at 10:00 pm

On a graphic that flashed by quickly during the game, Glen Redmon was mentioned as the other Giant besides Bart whose first 3 hits were doubles, back in 74. I looked at the 74 roster and his was the only name I did not remember. I’m not sure how he snuck in there.

    • sandog said, on August 22, 2020 at 10:13 pm

Twins catcher? I don’t remember him on the Giants either.

    • djloo27 said, on August 23, 2020 at 8:32 am

No recollection of Redmon either. I see he was a September call up. Just to be clear he did not exactly match Bart and Bowker by getting the 3 XBH in each of his first 3 games. He got 2 doubles in his first game and one double in his 3rd game. Thanks for making all this work for me, James. BTW, auto correct says his proper last name is Teflon. I think from now on, I’m just gonna leave their corrections alone.

Blanco had some useful times for all the grief he got. Sando apparently was guy who got him into
    the Shark thing.
giants win 5th in row Pirates won so did angels (over A’s) and Mariners, all current bottom feeders
top teams Dodgers Braves Twins and Rays division leaders also won. LA beat Rox on walk off bomb from Bellinger. Bellinger’s OPS is exact same as Arenado–.714. Arenado is still under Mendoza line—despite what he does vs. SF. So is Muncy what a weird season this is turning out to be.

Dogs come into town Tuesday for last 3.
