A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Game 3

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on October 23, 2020

Big Game Mort vs Tighty Whitey. This is an enormous game for both teams and feels like more than just the $2.50 I assigned to the first two games.

27 Years ago today Joe Carter smacked the biggest home run in baseball history to give the Blue Jays back to back titles. Who remembers when Joe Carter was a Giant? We traded a dude named Darrin Blood for him. Great name that got away from us.

I think Yount and Gantner might’ve had 9 hits in a game in ’82…

Yount and Molitor did in Game One…

OHMYFUCKINGGOD!!!!!!! That was the funniest shit I’ve ever seen.

  8. Macdog said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:24 pm

Without a doubt, that’s the craziest ending to a World Series game.

  9. James said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:24 pm

That was some truly fucking world class crazy shit.

Roberts is going to live and die with Jansen and usually die!

  11. Macdog said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:26 pm

    Rays > Disarrays.

  12. unca_chuck said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:29 pm

Unreal. Jansen is not engendering any faith in his role. I thought Roberts had moved him out as closer.

I’m air planning around the outfield Phillips says, what a great line in such a clutch moment!!

  14. James said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:31 pm

I’m really pretty glad not to be a Dodgers fan right now.

  15. gianthead said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:32 pm

One of the best most exciting world series games ever…

  16. alleykat69 said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:35 pm

Should have been 2 errors on that play.Taylor on the boot and Smith for dropping the throw from Muncy!

  17. djloo27 said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:36 pm

I thought Jansen was pretty decent tonight…

    • James said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:47 pm

He was, not his fault. The last pitch should have been a little more up and in, but a soft line drive to center was hardly an inevitable outcome.

    • Macdog said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:51 pm

As several people on Twitter have pointed out, Jansen threw a very hittable 1-2 pitch to a guy who’s had, what, 2 ABs in the postseason?

      • djloo27 said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:55 pm

So what should he have done nibble away?
        Fuck Twitter…

      • Macdog said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:59 pm

Whatever, I’m sure glad Jansen didn’t.

      • djloo27 said, on October 24, 2020 at 10:05 pm

Didn’t mean to sound testy with you, Mac.
I thought Jansen had real good stuff, so why jerk around?
Twitter is on my fuckin’ nerves – not you…

      • Macdog said, on October 24, 2020 at 10:11 pm

        Ha, no offense taken.

  18. djloo27 said, on October 24, 2020 at 9:44 pm

    Hope Big Flavor’s ok…

  19. unca_chuck said, on October 24, 2020 at 10:06 pm

    Did I miss something? What’s up w/Flavor?

Jansen has been iffy for 2 fucking years.

    • James said, on October 24, 2020 at 10:19 pm

Sunday is usually his day of rest, not Saturday, and no commentary from him tonight, of all the WS games so far, seems a little off.

Well, well, well. All’s well that ends well. Another Ray of hope blossoms forth. Are the LaBumbos snake-bit yet?

  21. unca_chuck said, on October 24, 2020 at 10:11 pm

Yeah, the hope is the Dogs get stomped tomorrow and they don’t recover.

The Dogs are a strike away from a 3-1 lead, and and they eat the steaming turd of defeat shot from the asshole of victory.
