more college football as Cal opens season too…realize Cal not high on Flav list unless they are getting stomped by Stanford. B-ball could be best season in years for mens team, women are always good in tough league.

Harbs team gave up 340 yd on ground and his QB is terrible. Like Shaw (team got outrushed by 100 yrds too), probably needs new underlings like co-ordinators on both sides of ball. Both can still recruit to their respective schools. Maybe funky practice situations have bigger affect on team D and tackling/pass coverage than on offenses, idk.

College ball has changed quite a bit though–many teams have dynamic QBs with explosive offenses that are fun to watch. North Carolina QB is a soph and is lighting up conference regularly. Florida QB had 5 TDs and 35 points at halftime. ND QB is very mobile and hard to sack, plus has good running game to fall back on.

Is Texas Tech responsible for that change, WillieD?
And I mean well before Mahomes…

      • willedav said, on November 15, 2020 at 8:27 am

could very well be man. So many teams that used to be run heavy now run wide open and/or no huddle spread offenses like that. I think the trickle down effect for that type of ball being played at HS level makes it easier for QBs to transition successfully at college level.
Mahomes sure stood out to me at TexTech but you are right I think trend had already turned in that direction for some coaches.

I remember watching him play Oklahoma, another wild offense. Tech had zero D but Sooners never stopped him either. From what I’ve read, Mahomes was being tutored early in his life too, at middle school age. Seems to be present role model/idol for kids who want to be QBs. Any coach (at any level) that has kid like that would surely use him to fullest extent in system to exploit his talents, right?

Right, but they were going up and down the field even in the Kingsbury, Welker and Crabtree days…

Props to Alex Smith after close to having his right leg amputated and 17 Surgeries he will be making his 1st start in 728 days quite an inspiration to all.Eerily the date he broke his leg 11/18/17 was the same day 11/18/85 that Joe Theisman had his leg snapped in two by Lawrence Taylor, I still can hear that leg snapped thru my tv today…

Tiger shot a incredible 10 at the par 3 12th hole!
3 in the water( 2 off the tee 1 from a bunker back into the water) makes every hacker smile πŸ˜ƒ..πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’¦

Good point Loo 8:35. Hope Kingsbury succeeds. Now pro teams running empty backfield and bubble screen stuff even on short yardage.

Sounds like 93 year old LaSorda’s in trouble.
If he does pass away, it’s kinda cool that he got to see that last one…

    • Flavor said, on November 15, 2020 at 12:21 pm

yeah, that’s kinda cool I guess.

    • unca_chuck said, on November 15, 2020 at 1:44 pm

Can’t deny him that possible last surge of pleasure. He’s been bleeding Dodger bluuz for years.

Ha first race at del Mar, Umberto Rispoli runs down Abel Cedillo’s horse trying to go gate to wire and wins on Turf for trainer Peter Eurton.

teams in NFC that have won 2 games in a row:
    NO
    MIN
    ATL
    NYG!

Fuck. My cat has diabetes. Loo, how much of a pain in the ass is it to deal with this?

    • djloo27 said, on November 15, 2020 at 1:58 pm

I’m gonna email you soon, Flavor.
      It’s really not that bad…

      • Flavor said, on November 15, 2020 at 2:15 pm

Thanks. Any advice on how to go about buying needles and medicine would be appreciated. Also any tips on how to give the shots. I’m happy Carson isn’t dying I thought it might be kidney disease. He’s 12. Dr. Said he is in stage 2 kidney disease but thought that had more to do with his age than anything else.

    • alleykat69 said, on November 15, 2020 at 2:04 pm

I think the vet can recommend the proper insulin dose and maybe change the cats diet?
Diabetes in cats are not curable I believe but still manageable with shots..Good luck BF..

  9. unca_chuck said, on November 15, 2020 at 1:43 pm

    Niners on their way 7-0.

  10. unca_chuck said, on November 15, 2020 at 2:06 pm

    10-0

  11. willedav said, on November 15, 2020 at 2:23 pm

that was messed up. Brees got vet call for roughing passer and then Niners couldn’t keep them out of end zone.

    • willedav said, on November 15, 2020 at 2:25 pm

after a dumb turnover on receiving group put ball deep in their own territory.

  12. unca_chuck said, on November 15, 2020 at 2:36 pm

    Defense is playing very well.

  13. unca_chuck said, on November 15, 2020 at 2:36 pm

    Fuck Shanahan. Ridiculous.

  14. unca_chuck said, on November 15, 2020 at 2:54 pm

    Jesus. This team is unwatchable.

  15. Flavor said, on November 15, 2020 at 3:17 pm

i am so tired of watching McKinnon gain 1 yard a rush.

  16. Flavor said, on November 15, 2020 at 3:22 pm

Mullens throws some of the dumbest dumbfuck picks I’ve ever seen a QB throw

She is fun to listen to and had winner again here.
What do you think happened in 8th stakes race where the 4 horse almost pulled up and backed out? did Spielberg drift into their lane?

  18. Carstie Clausen said, on November 15, 2020 at 3:56 pm

Nice encomium for Zaidi’s trade with Baltimore to get YaZmataZ on MLBTR. Appeared there a bit over an hour ago. Nothing particularly new for Flap regulars, but a bit heartwarming if you dig that sorta thing.

  19. unca_chuck said, on November 15, 2020 at 3:58 pm

Then again, Shanahan doesn’t see what is happening right in front of him. We haven’t been able to run wide all game so we try the sweep. -5. Next play? Throw wide -5. Now Hasty is hurt and it’s 3rd and 20.

    • willedav said, on November 15, 2020 at 4:31 pm

mm earlier though runs up middle didn’t work either as Saints swarmed them. I thought game turned when Shanny went for it before end of first half and they got stuffed. A punt right there would have set Saints back near their own end zone. Going for it left NO short field and they wound up scoring. Payton seemed to be able to outfox him at critical times, and they wind up not even needing Brees in second half.

  20. willedav said, on November 15, 2020 at 4:21 pm

Mullens sucks though,as flav said earlier. He’s too slow to recognize stuff and misses open guys either too high or at their feet. If you keep G, you’d still have to have quality backup. Plenty of mobile options coming out of college this year; Niners need to get one.

    Miracle in Arizona!

3 Bills around him and Hopkins comes down with it. wow

    Johnson cruises. Tiger gets a 10 on a par 3. 2020!

  23. unca_chuck said, on November 15, 2020 at 6:21 pm

The Texans made the single worst trade in NFL history by dealing DeAndre Hopkins for a washed up RB.

Fucking Bill O’Brien is the stupidest man on Earth. But so is whoever the fuck owns the Texans. They promoted bumbling Bill to GM, LET him trade Hopkins, and then fired him 8 months later when the team dropped into the shitter. He said they would be better without him,.

They single-handedly made the AZ Cards a Super Bowl contender with that trade. That affects the balance of power in the NFC West, and the NFC for that matter, for the next 8 years.

    • Flavor said, on November 15, 2020 at 6:49 pm

that trade was something Blade woulda done to good ‘ol Irish Kevin back in the Flap Fantasy League

  24. alleykat69 said, on November 15, 2020 at 7:52 pm

I will never understand with seconds left you don’t put a quick Chuck on a teams best receivers before they head to the endzone? Oh well β€œThe Hail Murray β€œ was still spectacular as was Hopkins amazingly out fighting 3 defenders for the winning grab!! U have to fight harder and want the game more Buffalo, you choked!!

Didn’t watch any football or golf today. Watched Hogfather, I’m sure a holiday classic for some. I also watched a couple of cooking shows that have cooks trying to make something out of crap from a basket that you wouldn’t normally try to make a meal out of. I guess I watch those cooking shows because it’s some kind of competition, I guess.
Man I miss sitting in a bar, watching whatever they have on because you get to do it while sitting in a bar.

    • djloo27 said, on November 15, 2020 at 9:03 pm

I’ve been saying the same thing a lot lately.
Just want to sit at the damn bar…

  26. djloo27 said, on November 15, 2020 at 9:14 pm

Why the fuck would division rival Colorado trade Ellis Burks to the Giants for Darryl Hamilton?
What a fuckin’ robbery that was…
