A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Tonight’s BIG Game

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on March 18, 2021

We have a preview tonight of our opening night battle with our *arch nemesis* the Seattle Mariners. Disco goes for us. They are countering with the mysterious “undecided.”

Seattle is going to be terrible this year and they’ve gotten an early start on that goal with a -20 run diff already this spring.

Tool #6 might be on full display and Grave Duggar gonna bury the entire team before first pitch saving the city of Seattle the embarrassment of having to watch tonight’s thrashing.

That’s some awesome enthusiasm for a Spring Training game! Yes!

it’s not every game you see one man dig a hole deep and wide enough to bury an entire team……

The hole is great. Deep and wide.

Break on through to the Duggar side.

This whole Grave Duggar thing has me psyched for the season.
I don’t care if it’s silly or contrived.
My enthusiasm is real and I think it’s spreading here. (Come back to us, Willie!)
I’ll be gravely disappointed if he’s not on the opening day roster…

I forgot that this repulsive pack of freaks shares His Name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/19_Kids_and_Counting

Somehow, I missed that profoundly shallow abyss. The Grave Duggar has a much better chance of hitting pay dirt.

Duggar plays a great centerfield. He’s athletic and runs well. If he can put together even a decent OPS, I think he can really help us. I’m pulling hard for him as well and it does seem like he’s getting a bit of notice even outside of the few of us obsessed with him here on the The Flap.
Opening day roster would be awesome, but I can be patient if needs to come over on the Nut Tree Express in a month or two.

Didn’t they use to have a huge corny Maze field people would pay to walk thru and get loss in near the Nut tree/Coffee tree SanDog?
That would of been a better place for Duggar to be dropped off inside permanently..

    That’s right Xoot!
The right pay dirt for GraveDuggar is in StLouis, where he can wash and clean that big Arch along scrubbing 🧽 those toilets to a spit shine seal of approval for Daniel his next stop to oblivion…

How you been sleeping lately, Kat?

Let’s take a moment to remember Mac the Oaf, who broke ground for the new Ace of Spades. Mac’s lawsuit has stalled a bit, as the lawyers fight over whether it should move forward in federal or in state court. It may plow on. Eventually, I think they’ll exhume the bones of Peter Magowan and depose him about the pens.

thanks Loo but can’t take bait. saw something today describes me to a tee: “…we do too much talking and don’t do enough listening.”

I preferred the Ground Cow in Penryn.

Truth be told, I drove by that place 14,000 times but never stopped there.

When do we officially start worrying about MIA Stix?

    • unca_chuck said, on March 18, 2021 at 3:21 pm

Curious to say the least. He was pretty much posting all the time till March 8th.

      Hopefully only a computer issue.

I’m usually not into these First Four play-in games, but Drake-Wichita St. had a good finish, Drake barely holding on after Shockers missed 3 at buzzer for first tourney win since beating Notre Dame 50 years ago.

Ah, remember when we had a budding OF star named Lewis?

    • xoot said, on March 18, 2021 at 7:26 pm

Darren. He stole quite a few bases. Close friend of young coach Dusty.

      • Bozo said, on March 18, 2021 at 7:41 pm

I think Dusty named his son after Darren Lewis.

Berkeley’s own! I really wanted to be a fan.

    • xoot said, on March 18, 2021 at 7:48 pm

You ever see him at Berkeley? I didn’t. Effed up.

      • James said, on March 18, 2021 at 8:04 pm

Nope, I saw surprisingly few games while I worked on campus. The sound of the batting practice aluminum is what I associate with Cal baseball.

      • xoot said, on March 18, 2021 at 8:15 pm

Well I had a RR job. And my main link to campus was via women phd candidates I got to know.

      • xoot said, on March 18, 2021 at 8:17 pm

I never spent time at the Cal ballpark until years later when my younger kid went to some training camps there. I did get a glimpse of the Jeff Kent Berkeley Batting Cages.

Inquiring minds want to know. You got to know female PhD candidates at Cal from working the railroad? How exactly did that work?

      • xoot said, on March 18, 2021 at 9:04 pm

I chose to live in Berkeley in the 80s. Many things happened.

  16. alleykat69 said, on March 18, 2021 at 9:18 pm

They still have cows in Berkeley?

    • xoot said, on March 18, 2021 at 9:30 pm

My rent controlled apt was one of four in an ancient farm house on the west side. Back then, whores hung out waving at cars a block away, on University. I heard some wonderful negotiations on the sidewalk when I stepped over there for liquor or Thai food. But the farms were gone.
