Who Are These Guys?
Only a few games into the season and this is already feeling like a weird year. SF is near the top of the league in HR’s but I still don’t trust this offense. I’m not really sweatin’ the solo bombs those will even out over the course of the season. I just look at the line up and it’s not doing anything for me. But then there are all those bombs. So I don’t know what to think.
Kapler (and many of the players) have given credit for the power boon to the coaching staff and the new hitting approach. Could that really be all it takes? Just a different “approach”? I dunno, I’m not sold. The aged POTD still resonates with me…….
A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball 
Just watched the end of the game…I figured we would win two in Seattle and lose two in SD so we essentially head home where we were expecting at .500, so solid series in SD…think at best we are 75 win team but could get to .500 if they keep team like the Padres contained.
The key is that the team keeps even the most pessimistic among us believing that there’s the slightest chance of a wild card at least until the end of July. The final record won’t matter much if they achieve that.
I am actually hoping we are not near .500 in late July to trade any valuable vet we can….all of ’em…
I’ve come to grips with the fact that the chances of any of our vets being dealt at the TD are really slim.

Longoria still has too much money coming.
That leaves Cueto and the Brandons. Only a desperate “win now” team with injury problems would consider any of them assuming they were performing well. And we’d get shit in return and probably still have to eat salary.

I remember the WSWINS guy. Yeah, *positivity* is not exactly a word I would use to describe him. He was a dick. Always kissing TF’s ass too. I had a dust-up with him at least once, Dirt did too I believe.
I think he once declared that any criticism of the team was an unpatriotic breach, and that there was simply no point in posting anything unsupportive. At least I remember something like that.
Yes James, things like that, along with statements to other Flappers like “who are you to criticize a general manager” and to TF like “I don’t know how you put up with it here”…. Oh well. He got his WS wins, and then disappeared. Unless he’s still here posting under a different name….

Romo was terrible for the A’s today. Lots of hanging sliders. I’m watching the replay of their game.
I just saw a report that umps at the A’s bums game today collected a ball Bauer used to be tested in the lab for foreign substance etc.
I can think of a simple way the ump can test it for Vaseline or KY jelly.
Would save a trip to the lab…
