Piling Up Shut Outs
I was against the Curt Casalli pick up because it was silly to think his meager offensive output in that joke park would carry over to Oracle–and he has looked predictably worthless with a bat. But the Giants weren’t getting him for his bat and maybe there is something to this theory that pitchers jizz at the sight of certain pitchers fingers.
Either way, another shutout that is more impressive than what Cervelli did in 2015 since that was before the juiced ball era…….Or maybe all you need is an Italian sounding name?
What’s more impressive, the start to the Giants season or what Steph Curry’s been cookin’ up over the last few weeks?
Damm Slater got robbed on a nice play..
Wilmer Bomb!
Wilmer!
Well whatda ya know.
OH so cool for Wilmet who had been in big slump.
We’ve missed this!
YES!!!!
Wow. Didn’t someone go to this game?
I thought about it, couldn’t make it happen.
Awwww, man. That woulda been awesome.
Flores had been 1 for his last 21 coming in, with BA down to .138.
Not anymore!
One swing changes a lot for a hitter!
Oh Fuck yes Wilmer!
Keep that stall clean Wilbur
Mr.Ed is fiesty 5 Homeruns Wow, who are these guys?
That’s 2 games already that they’ve come back from 4 down.
Goin to the 9th, shut it down McGee.
Well I guess McGee is still feeling the effects of his vaccine shot..
What a comeback. Doing that Philly Two Step. Helluva game!
Phuck yeah, comeback win!
Call me Ishmael.
That homer pissed McGee off. Nice way to close it out. Giants has some fun tonight.
That’s better!! Let’s sweep this sorry team tomorrow!!
Still racking up the homers. Finally with a few runners on!
And another series win! Phucking Philly Style!
Disco going for the Gigantes, tomorrow. Flashing that 1.06 ERA. Keep that train a rollin’!

Alvarez got the W, he should get the game ball.
One of those ump bags with two game balls in it
Breakout!!! Only caught bits and pieces of it over Gameday as I got a call from cousin Bruce, who had his 69th yesterday when I gave him a brief call, as he was getting down with a hot card-game. So he calls back tonight. 7 years now he”s been retired as the principal of the Glendale, Mt. high school. Later this week he goes to ump at HS and college games at Dickinson, ND. He says that in all of eastern Montana and SW ND there are fewer than a dozen umps left to handle those games. That’s what’s happening to the game out on the high plains.
Bout time for the hitters to finally get into the act…and in high style with a handful of homers…and not just those single-shots. Wow! And here I thought it was over in the third with Webb giving up that three-run blast. One of you guys predicted the Giants would start blasting in that bandbox. Congrats. Also congratulations to Buster for blasting a pair. Longo for his matching three-run against Miller’s bomb on Webb and Whillburrr for matching Longo and busting his slump. And how bout our leadoff pest, who broke his schnoid. LaStella has spark plug propensities…a very tough out even at the worst of times. Not to be forgotten are those guys like Belt, who kept upping Wheeler’s pitch-count till he finally lost it there in the 7th.
Pitching? Mr. Rogers turns indomitable, with yet another sweet, clean inning. Over time he might get overexposed in the NLW, but for the rest of the opponents he should be unsolvable through the rest of the season. Good to see McGee back and if there was the right time to make a mistake it was in the 9th and sporting a 4-run lead against a now totally demoralized Phillies team. Maybe he was a bit more relaxed than usual and perhaps the jab was still showing lingering effects.
Ten and six record and gunning for a sweet sweep early tomorrow. Even if the rest of the season slowly seeps away, this was one night to remember.
Belt day to day with a quad owie.
Good to see that life in the bats after laying the Phil’s a four-spot. And playing in that bandbox in Philly sure doesn’t hurt, either.
Yaz, Craw and Dick all >.190 and about to bust that Mendoza line. Flores at .167 needs to get it going, but nice to see him jolt one tonight.
Will be interesting to see who starts at 1st, tomorrow.
Looking for that 🧹🧹🧹…
