Bank The Wins Road Trip
Really interested part of the schedule coming up. East coast swing through Pitt and Cinn then finished it off with 3 vs LA. Eleven games 11 days. I have let myself get excited about this team for the first time in many years. After accepting I know nothing about baseball, it was an easy thing to do. The only thing I’m really worried about for the first 2 series is the weather. Admittedly, I haven’t checked it yet but the Pirates and the Reds know how to deal with rain delays. We do not. I’m still hoping for 6-2 before we play LA. Too optimistic?
Yesterday, Flap Nation united to donate $905 (including the $50+$50 that PaSalon and Bird Dog donated 4 days ago) to Cassie’s fund. I can’t tell you how proud I am to be part of this community…..
23-14. Nice.
Not sure about pulling Disco after the 5th for a PH, he was doing just fine.
That’s a little early (76 pitches) with a guy doing well. He could have gone at least one more — save a Pen inning on the start of a long roadie. This team looks like it can handle close games, and shoot outs. Looking surprisingly good, and strong bench…
Kap’s pretty straightforward about health and strength issues. Disco wasn’t feeling strong all day; Craw, Belt, etc. His post-game interviews are worth taking in.
uh oh. According to Kap, Rogers himself thinks he gets sharper the more the pitches.
With that delivery, I’d think “release point” is everything.
Maybe a lot of work helps maintain it.
I’d expect him to bowl one or put one in the second deck once in a while,
but he’s always around the plate…
Twinner would like this team but I don’t think *love it*. Not enough Latin dudes to put Twin gaga over the top on this group
Dubon, Solano, Cueto, Doval, Flores is pretty good representation. Ramos would seal the deal …
eh, none of those guys was like an “Andres Torres” or an embattled Panda
We are just chugging along. I am loving this. Our pitching has been fantastic. Seems like all we need are a few timely hits and we pull these games out
They make every pitcher they face grind away to the point of frustration.
Interesting stat they mentioned, no opponent starter has pitched into the 7th innings and that’s because of their high pitch counts! Great job by the hitting coaches and all the players including the vets buying in to this.Even if they make an out there getting 6-7 pitches out of the pitcher which takes a toll.
What a crazy team. Best staff in MLB? Light years better than the Dodgers? NO WAY!!
Bochy never would have promoted the AB grinding approach this team has. He was grip it and rip it. Even with teams that couldn’t…
I don’t think there are too many guys faster than the Grave Duggar from home to first.
He really gets down the line…
Not sure if anyone saw it, but here’s the explanation for the quick hook with Disco.
Giants’ strange in-game move ends up having pretty strong explanation

Craig – I really hope Cassie recovers. As Unca said, I had never heard of the surfer syndrome.
Gail’s brother was in a crash many years ago. Paralyzed waist down. He swims (he was a lifeguard throughout his life), still snow skis regularly, and drives his own car (gets in and out of the damned thing by himself with no assist). Retired supervisor of city planning for San Clemente. Wanted to share to show that one can still be a functioning member of society when disabled.
Anyway, positive energy and healing wishes to Cassie.
