It’s Raining W’s in SF

One reason I am excited about this year: The starting pitching, which I was comically wrong about, should be able to propel us through the Summer. And as long as we keep banking wins like we did last night we’re going to be in the race easily up until the trade deadline. And THAT is where Farhan will weave his web. Unencumbered by the contraints of future salaries he can just decide what we need and go get it. He’ll put whatever Russ and Curry are cooking to shame. It’s going to be like watching a modern day Rembrandt with his paints….

In addition to the legitimacy of the starting pitching it has now become impossible to ignore this *approach* the hitters take to every at bat. I don’t pretend to understand it but it has to do with either jumping on the first pitch they see in their zone OR grinding the bejezus out of the at bat. Whatever it is, Brandon Crawford likes doing it. Kap and his staff deserve huge props for this mindset they brought to our aged, bedraggled hitters.

  The fat cat pretty much ended the cutesy era that peaked with panda horse and giraffe hats. Panik’s half a season in 14 made all the difference. 2B had been a black hole. Wouldn’t’ve made it without him. Good enough at the right time.

I’ll admit I’m surprised at Duggar’s success.
The guy always had defensive skills, his bat was totally suspect at the MLB level until the past 6 weeks or so.
I hope he keeps it up, and doesn’t get hurt, which he’s been good at doing.
The Diver has been a disappointment. He looked really good right after coming over from the Yanks. Since then, good D, but no bueno at the bat…

I think it’s official. The Giants are a good team. With a ton of front line guys hurt.
The ZMan has proved himself. I always said just be patient and give him some time to dig out from the crap hole he was left, and he’d get the team back to respectability, at least, in a couple of years. Here we are. Props to him and his FO and on-field staff…
