A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Perfection

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on July 18, 2021

The Giants lost but that matters not as I have my coffee brewed, The Open is on and I am alone. Literally a perfect morning.

Some of you guys have asked about Black Butte. It’s in central Oregon, my family has a house there. I go there mostly for the golf but I usually try to wheez out a run in the morning. This is the meadow I run through, I stopped to take a video because it was literally a perfect morning. Just like this one.

51 years ago today Mays got his 3,000th hit. This picture looks more like a painting than a picture.

    Where are they now? department.
    Remember Andrew Susac, catcher?
He actually went 1-4 for the Giants in the 2014 WSeries.
He was traded with Bickford to the Brewers for Will Smith on Aug 1, 2016.
Since then, he’s been with several organizations — the O’s, Royals and now since 2020 the Pirates.
Except for cuppa coffee call-ups, he has not made it back to the majors…

    OMFG
A-Rod says that with a man on 3rd and less than 2 out the hitter (Stanton) needs to “move the ball forward in the air”…

The Giants should take that advice…

I can see Kap saying something like that.

    Geez instead of backwards?
A-Rod still can’t get over his breakup from bimbo J-Lo.
Why doesn’t he work on messin with Jessica Mendoza instead, though she’s more classier then him anyday..

Speaking of where are they now? Whatever happen to Hank Greenwald’s kid? Thought they were prepping him for a gig awhile back?

      Kat, see my 2:03 above…

J Lo a bimbo? I don’t think so. She’s no genius but she’s no fool.

Jessica M is hanging in there really well. I like to hear her and Dave Flemming working together. She seems to relax, knowing he’ll give her room to comment. Flemm is good.

That guy fully turned his hips and decided to check after he attempted to hit the ball. His bat and hands were borderline. Exactly what Hunter Pence described earlier today. He knows how to evaluate a checked swing.

Both Padres and Dogs pen blew saves and then lost on walk offs.
Pads Emilio Pagan gave up 2 bombs and 3 runs in an inning, then Melancon got one guy out and allowed hit that lost game.
Jansen blew save in 9th for Dogs, who then scored in 10th but Bickford gave up 2 run bomb to Blackmon.
Gonna be a scramble to find quality relief help, and lot of contenders will be looking.
Slusser said Posey and Gausman could both be activated for opening game in LA tomorrow.

wow thx that was beautiful. One hella band backing her up too.
STL was bad match up and they beat Gausman and D/S over 6 games–I read Giants haven’t won a series from them in 6 years. Still sitting on top of NL West, and entire league for that matter.

i hope we learn more patience at the plate, we were doing that for the most part but ST. Louis pitching just had us chasing our tails.

That’s the season series, Giants haven’t won that over the Cards since 2014, a combined 15-25 including this season. They didn’t play the Cards last year, so that’s six straight seasons.

Something else I looked up: Giants haven’t played the first series after the All-Break at home since 2013. We all know Baer doesn’t like the Giants opening the season at home, but is this a Baer thing too?

        ‘All-Star break.’
