With the deadline fast approach, if you were only able to swing one trade who would it be for? I went back and forth on this. I think we desperately need Craig Kimbrel but the haul it will take to get him would be high. I think we need a RH power bat to play first base and for me that’s either CJ Cron or Jonathan Schoop. Neither of them should cost too much, Schoop obviously more than Cron.

Knowing Zaidi’s penchant for the underwhelming, I think the most likely and best move he makes is for CJ Cron.

    The screen kept the ball from going in the stands, and another run scoring. I guess the screen is treated like the backstop screen in the ground-rules.

    If I’m reading that rule correctly that Xoot posted, the ump DID rule the ball dead (in the stands, so to speak), and believed that 3rd base was as far as that runner should be granted?

    Someone on the worldwide internet Google-box said Muncy got in Bellinger’s way on the throw. I watched a replay. Muncy somewhat gets sort of in the way, but I think the throw still could have been made OK.

      I saw the same thing on MLB highlights a while ago, and thought the same thing. Muncy definitely causes Bellinger to funk up that throw; he ran about 10 feet in front of Belli after chasing back Yaz towards first. Thank Muncy for the winning run…

    Get that, and you really round out this LU once Belt, Posey, Craw, and Longo are all back.
    Get Bryant, and you take care of that, plus a top level substitute for Longo, since he is dubious about coming back and staying back…
