Look, Z’s specialty is scooping up waiver wire guys like Wade. He could probably find 3 of them in his seat cushions if he looked hard enough. And Bart? Eh, whatever, pay up NOW for a known stud like Bryant. I’m not gonna shed any tears over Bart going off down the road and he could easily turn out to be nothing.

    I heard it live on knbr radio, the Giants flagship, from Greg Papa. He was categorical: Bart and Wade. I ms’d my son; he got rattled. I checked on line. No confirmation. Then Papa retracted it as unconfirmed. Fucking worst work imaginable. Papa sucks. Maybe mlb.com was involved, too, I don’t know, but damn that Greg Papa sucks.

Getting runs the old fashioned way tonight, it seems. That was something that struck me, watching a lot of the videos of the 3-in-5 wins: single, single, single, double, single, in many of the games. It looked strange. And yet it also often came down to the occasional-well placed homerun to win a big game.

  Well I’ll always call Krukow out on pitch counts.He always try to drill in your head, 15 pitches an inning is great.Well I’m old school and it should be freaking 12 pitches are less.CG thing of the past which is stupid if your starter is mowing hitters down. 12 pitches an inning adds up to 108 easily manageable, but not in today’s specialist BS thinking.Whatever, and back when Krukow pitched I bet his philosophy was different.I would argue that point with him all day and all night..

    well, I do like Slusser’s work. And I was closely following the beat tweets and the radio feeds today, while I read a magazine. And she was not the fuck up. Our east coast correspondents (DJLoo, MacDog, I think) mentioned mlb tv; but I heard Papa on the radio being categorical (he may have been repeating mlb’s error). My son traced it back to a fake twitter account that fooled mlb tv. Slusser, the vet, the Stanford grad (;)) would never fall for that shit. But Papa, the sloppy tv/radio “pro,” did. And a great deal of local rattling followed.
