A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

I Hate Seattle

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on December 6, 2021

Tough to give Seattle a lot of credit for yesterday’s win. Missing both Deebo and Warner we seemed lost at times. Despite Kittle’s generational performance, Jimmy made too many mind blowing, incomprehensible mistakes. It seems impossible that this guy led us to a Super Bowl but don’t forget he blew that too missing the wide open Sanders for the win.

If it wasn’t for our double secret agent Gerald Everett we wouldn’t have even had a chance on the last drive so there’s that.

Did anyone see Jimmy’s press conference? He doesn’t seem to bothered by any of this. He knows he’s gone and he’s just running out the clock on his time here. Plus, he sucks.

Did not see the presser. And yes, JG sucked yesterday with the picks, but he had a lot of company. There was MANY stupid penalties (late hits on the QB, etc.) that were critical at those junctions. So, while JG certainly deserves some of the blame for yesterday’s loss, he has a lot of company.

Fucking Seachicks are like cockroaches. Even though they really suck this year, we continue to have trouble beating them. I think we have lost four in a row to them. Pfffttt…

Also, special teams has been shaky, too. They gave up a kick-off return for a TD last week, and got had on the fake punt yesterday, too.

Just can’t believe early besides that screwup on the fake punt for 6 the 49ers were dominating after that ,3 straight 3 and outs by the D getting in Wilson grill constantly but those picks took steam out of them for some reason, and not even scoring in the 2nd half was inexcusable!

Special Teams sucked all game long ,with the fake punt TD after u stuff the Seahawks on 3 and out, Freakin Gould missing a PAT which still would of kept them in the lead 24-23 after yet another blunder play giving up the 2pt safety.Starting the 2nd half with the ball, trying to establish momentum again but noooo, here’s Benjamin fumbling the ball away! They can’t return a ball all year on kickoffs, just take the ball every time on a touchback at the 25, your percentages are better and guess what you don’t lose the freakin ball on a killer freakin turnover one of 4 turnovers!!!That number usually always guarantees a defeat!!

Those back to back personal fouls for 30 yards wtf were they thinking? easy score after that mess!
Shit they had them in a 2nd and 43 scenario and almost let them off the hook on Wilson’s run for 12 and slide and a hit, fortunately he was still a runner and not giving himself up are they would of drawn a penalty and a 1st down after even the announcer said after a penalty and a big loss on a hit to Wilson,:There now starting this drive 1st and Tacoma to get a first down now!!

Hard to find game in game out reliable QBs this season. Mahomes Jackson Allen Tannehill Herbert Burrow all have at least 4 losses and have lost games to teams they should have beaten easily. Stafford Cousins? Parity in new NFL, while Rodgers and Brady remain on top.

I hate Seattle too, but most of all just sick of Russell Wilson lighting up whatever D plans Niners have for him. They had lost 3 in a row and he was supposedly done and headed elsewhere, til SF came to town. Disgusting.

    • Flavor said, on December 6, 2021 at 7:43 am

It was great seeing him get hit so much. Can’t remember a niner D that got to him as often as they did yesterday.

      • willedav said, on December 6, 2021 at 8:28 am

Oh yeah. unfortunate that 2 of those hits resulted in penalties that cost 30 yds on TD drive.

      • unca_chuck said, on December 6, 2021 at 11:32 am

Wilson rushed for 15 yards. That has to be a low for us.

  5. alleykat69 said, on December 6, 2021 at 9:37 am

Couldn’t agree more Willied, Wilson’s been a pain in the ass his whole career against the 49ers!
And yes he looked washed up and obviously effected by that finger injury and all the frustration in Seattle as well, but as soon as he realizes he’s playing the 49ers, the magic always returns, and his uncanny dominance what is it now 16-4? 17? whatever? God I pray he just moves on to another division next year as Seattle is truly rebuilding unless they play the 49ers they could be Zero wins on a season and beat them twice!!

Shanny was outcoached yet again. The fake punt completely fooled us, and the fact that Carrol shut down our offense for 2..5 quarters while they scored 16 points. With a huge assist to the ref who swallowed his whistle on the goal line pass to Sherfield.

And yeah, those stupid penalties. I KNEW at some point we’d get one, but instead we got 3. I posted on my blog that they were coming after the fumble to start the 3rd quarter.

Special teams hs become a BIG problem.

Thing about Jimmy is he is fine until he isn’t. He can play great fior a couple quarters, and rthen just fuck up wildly. The pass that was picked had Sherfield WIDE OPEN behind him for a TD. Instead he throws into double coverage. And not seeing Wagner in the flat is just lazy.

That being said the team could have easily overcome those mistakes without all the other fuckups. Take away the fake punt, the fumble which resulted in a safety, and the missed extra point

This team still comes across as a poorly coached undisciplined team. Still and all, and despite the missed call in the end zone, the pass to Sherfield would have been a TD.

  7. chipower9 said, on December 6, 2021 at 10:59 am

We outgained them, so not sure they “shut us down” for two and a half quarters. Seattle had four first downs that came from penalties. Take those away and time of possession is probably even, and who knows what happens on those drives that were extended by bonehead penalties. The game was close…Niners could have easily won without the penalties (10 for86 yards), IMO.

  8. unca_chuck said, on December 6, 2021 at 11:30 am

We didn’t score for 2.5 quarters. Their defense did something right. Then again, the special teams gave up 10 points.

  9. snarkk said, on December 6, 2021 at 11:35 am

Apparently the Niners just NEVER throw a pass over 30 yards or so. How is that possible? The refs are primed to call a PI all the time, they certainly do it enough against the Niners. Throw one and see if you can pick up a cheap 40 yards. I’m not a football guy much, but it seems to me you should throw a couple of long ones in a game just to show it and put something in the defense’s head. Their receivers surely have the ability to jump up and fight even for a badly thrown long ball, maybe get that PI call. Hell, in baseball, even if your changeup sucks, you throw it once in a while just to show it so the batter has more to think about…

    • snarkk said, on December 6, 2021 at 11:39 am

BTW, have the Niners had a really good special teams unit since the turn of the century? I don’t remember that they have, Chuck can probably opine on that. When’s the last time the Niners had a really big offensive play on special teams — like a punt or kickoff return for a TD?…

  10. unca_chuck said, on December 6, 2021 at 11:39 am

Losing Moseley was the turning point. Wilson toasted Norman and Lenoir regularly. Guess you can chalk that up to Jimmy G’s pick as it happened on the 1st pay of Seattle’s drive after the pick.

  11. snarkk said, on December 6, 2021 at 11:43 am

The NFL loves the current situation with so much parity, aka, lots of crappy to middling teams. Keeps everybody interested and watching. Baseball is heading way towards the permanent haves and have nots, which is not good for the game’s popularity. Increasing the size of the post-season pool even more isn’t going to fix that, IMO, people will just turn off on boring, bad ball in the regular season. NFL is immune to that with the small number of games and the gambling…

Medina Spirit died after workout. Had been scheduled to race when Santa Anita reopened Dec. 26. whoa

    • Winder said, on December 6, 2021 at 12:07 pm

Always makes me feel bad when a racehorse dies. Someone is certainly at fault over this.

    • snarkk said, on December 6, 2021 at 12:15 pm

What happens if they find out this horse had some sort of PEDs in him — again? Would the trainer(s) get banned for life, I mean how many times is enough?

  13. Winder said, on December 6, 2021 at 12:10 pm

Yesterday’s game truly sucked but I have always thought good teams win convincingly. And neither team did that. We don’t deserve to be in any playoffs.

Seattle itself is a pretty cool city. Especially in the summer.

    • willedav said, on December 6, 2021 at 12:34 pm

Company I worked for before retirement had half dozen stores in greater Seattle area. Mgrs. told me there are 3 good months of weather, only, and I believe them.

      • unca_chuck said, on December 6, 2021 at 12:56 pm

I have a cousin who has lived up there for about 25 years and she said the weather has changed dramatically in regard to the amount and number of rainy days.

      • Winder said, on December 6, 2021 at 1:18 pm

Where I live it rains 8/9 months a year but most of those days are like being in the center of a cloud that just drizzles all day. We actually had a drought this year with lots of fires and 3 pretty decent heatwaves. Climate change is happening up here pretty fast. I live in the mid-Willamette valley so very little snow.

      • willedav said, on December 6, 2021 at 1:33 pm

We used to have mgmt conferences in Spring or Fall, late September maybe. We’d leave San Jose Airport and it would be 70 degrees and sunny. Arrive in SeaTac and it’s 50 and dreary for the next 3 days. They can have it.

      • alleykat69 said, on December 6, 2021 at 2:07 pm

Yeah I’ve heard people are so depressed with the weather in Seattle and other regions near by the suicide rate is high just from be amped up on Starbucks coffee all the time!

Actually my father in law lived up in Annacortes Washington (San Juan Islands and ferry starting point to all the islands,Friday Harbor,Lopez ,Orcas etc) I always went up there in the summer months,as we would take his boat out to those islands for birthdays, gets togethers, reunions, staying at a resort, going out setting crab pots( I drove his boat out of the harbor, cause he trusted me over his more drunk 🥴 old buddies lol)and have fresh crabs ready to roll as his crab fryer just waiting for the catch to return! Washington can really be a special place to visit. He also said that the rainy months are not bad in Annacortes over Seattle due to being more inward, but also he said it’s tucked in a banana belt shielding the worse storms..

      • unca_chuck said, on December 6, 2021 at 2:46 pm

My cousin 2 years in to her stay there said the lack of sunlight in the winter (length of darkness in winter) make her buy a big light to shine in her bedroom. The lack of daylight depressed her. She found out lots of other people do that. Not sure what the diff is between here and there, but it must be a lot longer dark times in the winter.

      • Winder said, on December 6, 2021 at 3:00 pm

It’s totally dark here at 5:10 and stays that way until around 6:30. I can’t remember what daylight savings was like before. I lived in Hawaii so long and they don’t have it.

  15. willedav said, on December 6, 2021 at 12:36 pm

As long we’re rounding up usual suspects for yet another L in Seattle yesterday, I’d add backup RT Compton. He got pancaked on the safety and was the guy supposed to be blocking Dunlap when he batted down last pass.

  16. willedav said, on December 6, 2021 at 3:12 pm

Funny thing is I guess they get hardly any snow. Happened a couple times years ago and mgrs. said Seattle and Tacoma were like paralyzed.
Meanwhile, um Buffalo gonna be serious weather game

  17. alleykat69 said, on December 6, 2021 at 3:30 pm

The weather in Buffalo NY is brutal for this matchup.Snow flurries,up to 50 mph winds 25 degrees. They were showing the goal posts and they were swaying hard back and forth. Also a huge gust came up and almost knocked poor little petite Suzy Kolber off her chair with her analyst crew, Alex Smith,Adam Scheffler, and Booger McFarland said he’ll I’m 280 plus and my chair was moving as well.. It’s Jack Daniels weather for the fans tonight🥃🥃🥃

    • Winder said, on December 6, 2021 at 4:24 pm

I actually like watching bad weather football. Trench warfare at it’s best, but what I really miss is mudball you just don’t see it anymore.

  18. snarkk said, on December 6, 2021 at 4:26 pm

So, Chuck, up in Seattle — does your cousin say now there are more or fewer rainy days than in the past? I’m assuming fewer?…

  19. alleykat69 said, on December 6, 2021 at 6:54 pm

Elijah Mitchell to start week in concussion 🤕 protocol as the hits just keep on coming!
Shanahan and the team doctors have some splaining to do leaving him in after he headed to the sidelines groggy with a forearm shiver to his head/ helmet!
