We might sneak into a playoff scenario but at this point I don’t believe we are a worthy opponent. We have to many holes to fill. I would like to see Lance play a game before it’s over just to see how he has progressed. Since he runs the opposing teams offense during practice week he should be able to command the Niners offense productively.
I think the Showalter signing is a good thing for the Mets. I don’t know all the personalities the Mets have on their roster but if Showalter can get them to buy in and play as a team effort they will more than likely succeed.
Agree on Showalter. He at least knows what he’s doing, unlike poor guy before him, and is familiar with turf of media and expectations of fanbase in NYC. And perhaps has evolved enough to deal with new age 2022 baseball and players. We’ll see.

On one side this Mets team has a shitload of talent and Cohen sure isn’t shy opening up his billfold and just adding more to it, but then then the managerial hires the last few times ,Callaway,and whoever’s the dude was last year I’m drawing a blank?never had the leadership to lead.Buck has that qualities that Cohen wants and his overall track record proves it, but it didn’t work out last year for another old veteran manager in Joe Giradi in Philly last year, I guess time will tell..

I put on a Niners game for the first time this year in the middle of the Atlanta drive, just before the 3 and 5 penalty that gave the Falcons a first down. After that roughing the passer penalty and the TD, I turned it back off.
I’m all for rules to protect players, but if a player can’t sack a QB like that, then sheesh.

What I loved, and what Bosa needs to learn, is to not bite on the fake handoff and bootleg by Murray/Wilson. Detroit, on the 1st play, the DE stayed in his lane and chased down Murray for no gain. It seemed to set the tone or the game for Detroit’s defense.. Bosa overpursues a lot and crashes inside when he needs to keep contain and hold the edge.
That being said, he is KILLING it on his rushes. 15 sacks, and I saw at least 4 holds on our pass rushers. Ryans get kudos for moving Bosa around on the D line when Found on Road Dead went out.
If we had a couple corners, we would be unstoppable. Moseley still has a couple weeks to get right.

Teams that scored 30 or more went 7-1 this weekend. Teams that allowed 17 or less went 9-0.
Both the offense and defense had their moments and played great overall. Jimmy shined. Winter football is hard to predict and scores are all over the place. Was glad to see both AZ and TB lost their games since they seem to be the consensus SB matchup.
Garoppolo actually looked really good yesterday. No boneheaded passes and no high balls.

Defense was really solid maybe their best overall game,Bosa another sack which created a fumble from Ryan and Niner recovery (15 now and 6 straight games and leads the league in sacks behind the line of scrimmage overall as well I believe?)Arden Key 2 big sacks on Ryan even if one was nullified on a total BS roughing the passer penalty which led to there only score by Gage who made a real tough catch over the rook Ambry Thomas. Kid’s learning on the fly and it’s not easy, but Shanny&the DC like what they see with his aggressiveness, so more game reps will only help him..
Special Teams though continue to be a problem!
Hasty fumbling the opening kickoff( are they ever going to find a decent returner? and another one juggling on close to the sideline and stepping out on the 5 inexcusable! If he just let it go it had 2 scenarios either it goes out of bounds and they start on the 35 are it goes into the endzone and they start on the 25. Huge field position they gave up on that bonehead play!
Rick James wasn’t spectacular, but he didn’t fumble. They cut him to keep Jalen Hurd. The guy who could never get on the field.

The whole point of getting people vaxxed is that you shouldn’t have to test anymore if they really are trying to get to the point of just “living with the virus”. People here are mad into testing at home, and it just makes everyone anxious. Fuck it. Get the shots, get on with life. Some people will still die. Welcome to life.

Several times during the curfew lockdown, I hid when they came around to do testing in the street. Once they practically had to drag me out of my apartment. F-ing tests gave me an inner infection and bad vertigo for weeks. We were locked down, where the hell was anyone going anyway? Only exception I would consider is if I was living with the elderly (I mean, more elderly than me) and little kids. But overall, stop it already, as long as people are getting the shots.

my work. We have tons of them. And not the cheapie ones, the PCR tests. Dude, each package comes with 2 batteries for the thing that does the test in 30 minutes. I keep the batteries and toss the rest. I have batteries for days now, lol. Each test is $85. I appreciate what testing provides but it is a major racket.I work at a private school, not sure how public schools handle costs like that.
Craig, man, that’s a lot of testing. I don’t know, maybe it’s just the way it’s been done here. Forcibly. Hundreds of people in line on the street. Many stories of people getting Covid because they went for the test. Fuck that. It’s the up the nose thing, they jabbed it up too far, felt like they were puncturing my inner ear. I should probably get the home test now, everybody has it, I just hate it and what it means.
way up the nose test is old school, that’s how they did them when we first started getting test. Much gentler now.
