I went for a run to burn off some nervous energy. That is Stanford Stadium back there.
If you drew a line from where I was through the tall tree on the middle-left and into the stadium you’d be sitting in the same spot me and my dad sat in 37 years ago for the Super Bowl vs the Dolphins. Man, I remember that day like it was yesterday. Our favorite sports teams are responsible for so many great memories, right?

It really doesn’t get much better than this. In the words of Jimmy ‘never get to high or low stay humble and play football.’ I still see this one as a nail biter.
Maybe runs 80 times. I think we all had seen later half of the season our weak link our Achilles Heel is our secondary. Was continually exposed even by the likes of Matt Ryan but in the playoffs the ineptitude of Dak and the Cowboys coaching failed to exploit it and even with Davante Adams making plays in the first half last week, the weather conditions hid our blind weakness.
I fear Cooper Kupp is going to run amok. Without Bumgarner carrying us in his back in that WS, I agree may have been the one WS with less confidence and it took us 7 games. Will be a stunner in my mind to win this and beat them three times in one year. Staying away from betting against the Niners and hope I am wrong but can see the Rams winning by 10.
Pretty sure our DB’s got better as the season progressed. I believe it’s gonna be decided by either our or their defensive lines.

With SF airport even having Yosemite Sam and a 49er fans banging drums, and the airline giving out game towels they were in full force, along with a Niner’s sports bar in LA showing a line half way down the block just to get in!
Definitely pound the Football with Mitchell (25 carries he can handle the load) Samuel 8 times and sprinkle in Juice! Time of Possession is what’s won these games in the last 6 straight wins,control that and u should win!
Middle of the Field with Kittle should be there with slants as well, just no freaking sideline throws that can get picked easily! Bottom line the players all believe in Jimmy when they’re huddled up,so I will too!Bang Bang Niner Gang!!

I just thank God our next door neighbor in the Highlands was a Niner season ticket holder. Went to 3 games at Kezar in 1968 and ’69. Colts, Packers, and Colts. East end zone. Closer to the Stadium Pub. Johnny U and Bart Starr. Just wish I had seen the Bears and Gayle Sayers. Saw the ’72 playoffs as well.

Huge blunder by KC before the half. I did not bet either game but would have teased KC to -.5 and would have been my first loss bet this playoffs. I would have been steamed as well.

The 2nd to last drive with the score tied, we got a delay of game and 2 other plays with 00 on the play clock, and Shanny is doing nothing to get the team a play. Or call a tinme out to get something figured out.
2nd and 1? Up the middle 1 yard loss. 3rd down and 1.5? Run up the middle 0 yards. Brilliant.

That second to last drive what I have been raging on with my buddies. Awful awful play calls. Did they not this whole week prep plays for exactly these last possessions??? The 2nd down play why the fuck is there a receiver Jennings on a 2nd 15 out on the sidelines as a safety valve???? Every receiver should have been down field on that. I am mentally ready to move on from Shanahan but don’t see ownership and management ready.
Shanahan a blessing and curse. he is the Jimmy g of coaching. Wins a lot but cant finish. i was so irritated by the end. Deebo as a RB is ok as a change, not half the plays. If he is in the backfield it is a run. because if they cover Aiyuk there is no threat. For some amazing reason Kittles targets dropped and dropped. Isn’t he open all the damn time? 2 catches? Really? One reason the game is as close as it was is because today McVey was even dumber than Shanahan, and that’s hard to do.
One of the few good things about getting old is that it’s a lot easier to shake off these games and put them in perspective. The game is pretty upsetting until you notice that one of your balls has disappeared and both of your thumbs stopped working…
