A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Losing But Still In….First Place

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on April 28, 2022

Dubs advance but the waters are going to get deeper. They got lucky getting to play a team that basically had one true thread throughout the game. I just don’t think they’re going to get to the Finals, but having to play the Celtics and that D would be embarrassing.

Giants with a quiet-bat game, no surprise really.

Check out The D-backs yesterday. They’ve beaten LA two in a row and look at those batting averages. I know it’s early, but still….

Dodgers helped them both games. In first W, AZ turned 5 double plays and picked Trea Turner off first base. One of those came when Taylor took off from 2b on ball that was caught in OF and he got doubled off. Another came when W Smith hit into DP with bases loaded. Then AZ hit 2 run bomb off Graterol.

Yesterday they scored game winner when Muncy threw away a sac bunt at 3b, and then they scored on a ground out. Melancon had clean 9th inning both days for save. I think AZ had 6-7 hits total in 2 Ws, but pitching held Dogs to 4 runs in 2 games. Blueprint for 2 game series at Latrine next week, no?

TWolves hopefully take Grizz to 7 to help maybe Grizz be a little worn down. How good is Ja Morant???

A little destiny in the potential Dubs-Suns conference final? Would be incredible tv and series I think. Also a Dubs Celtics could be up there in all time ratings and maybe a little destiny with that potential matchup. Shocked shocked how tenacious the Celtics are. Would be incredible matchup of defense intensity against one of the most explosive offenses in nba playoff history that f not the most explosive with Curry looking 100% and Klay close. When they go that three guard set like I talked during the reg season they may be unstoppable offensively with being able to interchange Poole and GPII into that three guard rotation. Payton was big time last night.

And Poole was not for second game in a row, vs. Denver guards that are lot of reason Jokic has so little help–next group(s) will be much tougher and more skilled. Hope theysay goodbye to dumb nicknames for group–who closes game way more important than who starts (remember Zaza starting?). Warriors fans can be douchy over dumb stuff like this–team has its flaws just like everyone else. Getting past Memphis will be a chore.

Happened to check Dodgers page on Athletic, and couple fans over there used epithet “Steve” on Lux, who also flubbed couple throws in Ls to DBax.

Slush talking about roster crunch coming (2 guys have to go and one must be a pitcher) on Tuesday May 2. Wade Jr. playing rehab games in Sac and Yaz, feeling better, can take first of 2 PCR tests tomorrow. So both could be activated by time SF faces Dogs for 2 game series Tue-Wed, or soon after on homestand that starts Thursday for 4 vs. STL plus 3 hosting Rox.
She also said Cobb scheduled to throw today and could be ready for weekend or Tuesday.

Likely Joc goes on the 10 day DLwith Wade&Yaz still not ready the outfield is getting thin, it’s time to bring back Ramos, for obvious reasons, the lack of RH punch, without Ruf doing anything.
One thing for sure the Giants and especially Farhan just love making moves to the DL with bogus injuries, needing a roster spot, creating a roster spot, their the best in the constantly churning the roster over in baseball.

I still don’t understand why there wasting a precious roster spot on useless Beede?Just so he doesn’t end up a Dodger? So what cut ties, Junis Priest and Long are far more effective. And for now Junis Priest should be the 5th starter he’s been awesome..

Slush says Red Sox claimed Jaylin Davis.
Braves gave Dickerson the DFA as they activated Acuna.

Bart is a black hole from the right side as well. I’d rather have Ramos up hitting lefties and righties than the Ruf-suck going on. J Davis I’m sure is on to greater things.

They were Galapagos sharks, and we were about 3 miles out in water about 450′ deep. It was pretty trippy. The weirdest part was the absolute blueness of the water. Pretty heavy chop as well. No markers, no reef, no bottom, nothing to see. but the sharks, the occasional tuna, and a curious barracuda. There were 7 sharks milling around. The dive master said that the occasional Tiger shark will swim by but that they aren’t a problem either.

When the boat stopped, 3 sharks were immediately on the boat right at the surface. It was a little unnerving getting in, but the guide said they are mainly curious and won’t do anything. She said don’t try to touch them, and don’t go under them. Hard to do with only a snorkel, but there you go. I could have touched one of them, as they were pretty close at times, but I resisted. Another weird thing was, when I got out of the water, I felt something in my ear, and when I stuck my finger in, a tiny crab ran onto my finger. One of the other guys with us pulled a crab out of his ear as well. It was like the size of a sesame seed.

Beautiful ass sharks tho. It was very cool. It was $150 for 2 hours.

So, you weren’t in scuba gear, just with snorkel?
Was it just a shark view trip — since you’re in blue water w/them — or did you also stop near the shore to do some snorkeling in shallow water to see some reef fish?

Just the deep water shark snorkeling. Like 20 mins out, 1.5 hours in water and 15 back.

    Today’s quiz:
Without looking it up, can you list these 4 women from shortest to tallest?

      Well done!!
Judy Garland, 4’11”!! She was such a dynamic performer, she seemed taller than that.
Stevie Nicks, 5’1″. This one surprised me, too. With those flowing clothes on stage, she seems taller.
Yoko Ono, 5’2″. This one didn’t surprise me, because I’ve seen a number of photos of her standing next to John.
Linda McCartney, 5’9″, by far the tallest of this group of 4.
