His Name Is Luca and He Lives on The Second Floor
…and that’s how this series is gonna go. Even with the Dubs shooting like shit from 3 and the free throw line they still run Dallas out the building by 25.
The only way Dallas is even gonna win a game is if they take a big lead and control the pace of the game from there. They play too slow and they don’t have enough fire power from 3-land to mount a comeback vs a team like Golden State in the playoffs.
This is totally over.
Kicking myself not betting my Dubs in 5 prediction. And Kerr just went Poole and Porter off the bench and we dominated. Series over.
Play in the corner second half with Dray and Curry crashing on Dinwiddie with Dray getting the block was playoff epic moment.
I wouldn’t be so sure that every game will go same way as Game 1. Lot of hist behind first game being the exception and not the rule. Dallas got lot of good open looks and missed them–less about defense than shooters being off.
But this game wasn’t about 3s though Kidd said Mavs took too many, it was about GS ability to create and make 2s where they hit very high pct. Look at Poole’s shooting as an example and Klay didn’t hit his first 3 til 3rd quarter. GS was very efficient offensively so expect an adjustment from Coach J Kidd.
GS is still better team but I wouldn’t discount Mavs giving a better showing.
Warriors went 36-53 from 2, 68%. what I watched (left after lead got to 20 at 79-59), very well done. Won boards too. NBA today is so much more about shooters/scorers and less about size/bulk. Round 1 to GS shooters, inside and midrange. Numbers below are 2 pt shots made:
Curry 4-7
Klay 6-9
Poole 7-8
add in Porter Jr 5-6 and Looney 5-5 (!).
It’s a couple of weeks old, but this is a very thorough re-cap of the Giants off season.
I guess it’s still too soon to give it a grade…

ive got 3 longshots in the ‘Susan tomorrow at Pimlico. Let me know if I should text them to you
Anytime, Flavor.
Even if I’m not betting, I can at least root for you…
I didn’t expect much of a fight from Mavs in gm1, they were just coming off a long 7 game series against the Suns, and even though they blew them out it’s hard to ramp it up with little rest and not going home right into another travel, and series.GM 2 should be more competitive but besides Doncic they just don’t have enough good shooters to compete, and they’re supposed good defense sure got exposed as well last night..Still have Warriors in 5 games no problem!
Giants are in a very solid position to make the expanded post season at the moment.
4 games up on the WC outsiders (Rox & Phils)…
Remember though 2019 Nats made great run after very slow start, and won it all.
what that team and Braves of last season had in common—beating LA first to get to WS.
Giants have to find enough pitching to last over extended playoff series 2022, and at some point have to be able to beat Dogs. Otherwise you get last year all over again.
Scherzer out 2 months with oblique.
Joins deGrom on the sidelines…
BF’s title, of course, is a nod to the great song from the 1980s by Suzanne Vega. I saw her in concert about 20 years or so ago. And it’s kind of mindblowing to think of something happening 20 years ago, and it still being in the 2000s.
My GF back then was so into her. I was like, ehhh. Painful subject matter in the song tho. Some ballsy stuff.
The DNA remix of Tom’s Diner is pretty awesome.
Once this opening is listened to it is stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
Cool-ass video to boot.
Pads shutout Phils behind 7 solid innings from Darvish and 4 out save by T Rogers. They’ve now own 5 out of 6 series on road but do have to fly across country for weekend here. Cano drove in one of those run with base hit.
Pads are now 24-14. giants will face lefty Manaea. Thought I read RH lineup not doing as well as LH one.
I don’t know why.
Where’s Paul?
She sure has a mouth full of teeth…
That’s the first thing I thought too.
