Huge win for the Dubs! They need one good game from Draymond. Win game 5 and maybe a big night from Game 6 Klay to finish it off!

  11. Lurker John said, on June 10, 2022 at 9:06 pm

    That looked like a hammy.

  12. PaulinAsia Banh Bao said, on June 10, 2022 at 9:28 pm

On Ruf’s HR to dead-pull left, did Kuiper really say “High drive to right!”? ……

    • snarkk said, on June 11, 2022 at 10:24 am

Yes. Maybe he was looking at the game in a mirror…

  13. Lurker John said, on June 10, 2022 at 9:28 pm

McGee is throwing harder than earlier in the year.

  14. Macdog said, on June 10, 2022 at 9:46 pm

Junis left hammy strain, Longoria hammy tightness.

Jekyll and Hyde indeed. Great game and a Bay Area double dip with Warriors also winning a huge game.

  24. Macdog said, on June 10, 2022 at 10:04 pm

No errors. Four shutout innings by the bullpen. And runs — 7 of ’em. All against the Bums. Who were these Giants tonight?

  25. alleykat69 said, on June 10, 2022 at 10:05 pm

Putting it to the Bums and the Celtics truly makes for a great night!!

  26. willedav said, on June 11, 2022 at 7:15 am

Only drag for Giants were the injuries.
Junis has lowest ERA of starters at 2.63, also lowest WHIP at less than 1.0 Given up fewest hits and walks.
Longoria, if sidelined, likely means Estrada (or maybe Flores) has to cover 3b=more of Walton who is 1-17 (9-53 with 1 BB all season) and has OB of .185 Hasn’t done much since early hot streak with all the doubles.

  27. willedav said, on June 11, 2022 at 7:47 am

Lot of interesting things going on in Warriors emphatic 4th quarter run (28-19). Kerr sat Green for 4 minutes while GS went on 11-3 run that turned close game in their favor as they went with 3 guards (including Payton at times) plus Wiggins (17 points 16 boards) and Looney (3 hoops 11 boards).
Green had 9 boards and 4 steals, but only 1 hoop all night. Played 33 minutes, 8 less than other starters beside Porter Jr.
GS thrashed Celts on boards (55-42 total, 16-11 offense) and made their 2s (25-48) while Celts did not (19-47) with each team making 15 3s. 43 for Steph vs. 23 for Tatum, who went 8-23 from floor with game high 6 turnovers. 11 hoops off bench for GS (which didn’t get much from starting Porter Jr) vs only 5 from Celts.

Every game has been different, so next ones might be as well.

    • Macdog said, on June 11, 2022 at 8:23 am

Green 1-7, and the few shots I saw him take it looked like he had no confidence in his shot. But he still came up with maybe the game’s biggest sequence: Dubs up 3, Green offensive rebound off Thompson missed 3, and then pass to Looney for layup to put Dubs up 5 with 1:04 left.

  28. willedav said, on June 11, 2022 at 8:07 am

Hope Unc Chuck and his buddies had good time at yard.
Should be little cooler today (mid 90s in south bay yesterday) but earlier 4;15 start means likely still warm for opener game.

    • unca_chuck said, on June 11, 2022 at 8:48 am

Yeah we had a blast yesterday. Ended up watching the last 40 seconds of the dubs game under the scoreboard with about 40 people And missed Rufs bomb. We were in the bleachers and it was an amazingly warm night. In the hundreds of night games at the Stick, there was never a night that warm. Saw junks hobble off but not Longo.

Jeebus. He and Belt are forever cursed. Limp on, limp off.

      • Macdog said, on June 11, 2022 at 9:01 am

That’s great you got to see Giants beat the Bums, especially for what sounds like a memorable get-together.

      • alleykat69 said, on June 11, 2022 at 9:37 am

        3 Toasts last night 🍻🍻for Chuck’s buddy Kevin .
        1) for the Warriors huge win in a hostile environment.
        2) for the Giants putting down the hammer on hopefully a Sweep of the Bums!
        3) And 3 to Kevin, any guy that could hangout and do some lead vocals with Ronnie Montrose is a special dude and will be remembered forever in Rock Heaven..

  29. Lurker John said, on June 11, 2022 at 8:14 am

It seems like Longoria can’t go 5 games anymore without injuring himself. I like as a player and a Giant, but it’s beyond time to move on from him. He’s just never on the field. Injuries in general have been a bugaboo for this team the past few years. Now I see even the younger Wade has suffered a setback during his rehab. Junis, their best pitcher most of the year, likely headed for the DL. It’s getting old.

    • alleykat69 said, on June 11, 2022 at 9:21 am

Those plums sacks must feel extra special today BF.,

    • alleykat69 said, on June 11, 2022 at 9:28 am

Are you talking just about him LJ are his tag team partner in injuries Belt as well?
Yeah Junis who has been their best pitcher , that one stings a lot. Good chance Lurch will take his spot are Long for awhile. They should just have a Medics tent set up in the clubhouse full time I’m sure it would be an overflow of players using it..

  30. unca_chuck said, on June 11, 2022 at 10:26 am

Yeah, All the Montrose talk was fun. Got to meet Ronnie for Kevin’s 50th b-day party in SF where Ronnie announced that Kevin would be the lead singer. Talked to him about the early days in SF (he hitchhiked from Denver as a 17 year old and ran into Baz Skaggs, RIck Derringer, and started getting known. with them. Really nice down-to-earth guy. I couldn’t say enough how their first album was simply a masterpiece. It was the blueprint for power-trio hard rock for the rest of the decade.

In between bouts of cancer, Kevin sang with him for about a year. Near the end of 2011, a week before they were gonna tour Europe, he fired Kevin and re-hired his old singer. 2 months later he took his own life.

This is from the Fox Theater in Redwood City in 2011.

There’s a celebration of life today and a tribute concert at the Tempest tonight.

    • Bozo said, on June 11, 2022 at 11:30 am

      Sorry for your loss Unca.
Way back in the early 80s I was able to take some drum lessons from the great Tony Williams. I still have some LPs that Tony recorded with Montrose, great stuff. I’ll have to check out some of the stuff Montrose did with your friend Kevin.

  31. alleykat69 said, on June 11, 2022 at 11:05 am

Say Chuck are any other heavy rock and rollers..
Do any of you have that final tribute album 10 by10? Ronnie sadly couldn’t finish but Heavy Hitters like Winters,Hagar,Derringer,Shaw,Rollie,Bonammas (sp) Trower a real close friend of Ronnie and more studs I can’t think of laid down 10 tribute songs hence the album 10 artist 10 songs..Just curious but I bet it’s awesome..

  32. unca_chuck said, on June 11, 2022 at 11:50 am

      • Bozo said, on June 11, 2022 at 12:47 pm

Tony is at the top of my list of favorite drummers, he was amazing. He joined Miles Davis when he was 17 and pretty much started the jazz fusion thing with his band Lifetime.

  36. unca_chuck said, on June 11, 2022 at 12:01 pm

Don’t have that but I’ll check it out

  37. alleykat69 said, on June 11, 2022 at 12:36 pm

It was Greg Rollie on keyboards and vocals back then..

Um, Urias is SP today, and Opie is supposed to go tomorrow, right?

    • willedav said, on June 11, 2022 at 3:56 pm

Might as well wear “Fragile” on his uni…

    • alleykat69 said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:23 pm

Wouldn’t it be wise to completely bubble wrap Longo&Belt and let them float around in the jacuzzi?

  42. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:12 pm

Kuiper was right about Buehler last night. Buehler was hurt. He went on the injured list today.

  43. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:17 pm

Fox game today, so lots of stupid in-game interviews today. What fans even like those things? I’m sure the percentage is low.

  44. alleykat69 said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:28 pm

I’m waiting for the in-game moment when a mic’d up outfielder crashes into the wall and knocks himself out ..

  45. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:31 pm

Someday Kershaw will no longer be on the Dodgers. That will happen someday in the future.

    • willedav said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:02 pm

      Hanging breaking balls today.

  46. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:41 pm

Saw this in an article about Gausman today, about him possibly tipping pitches:
“Whether Gausman was tipping against the Minnesota Twins last weekend is hard to say with full confidence. If he was tipping, the Twins would keep that information to themselves.”
It was kind of weird how teams seemed to suddenly figure him out in the second half of last season.

  47. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:44 pm

Longoria pulled his hamstring running to first base yesterday; maybe the Giants should have stationary bikes in the dugout, and encourage players to keep their legs loose when the Giants are batting.

  48. Bozo said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:44 pm

    Estrada!

  49. Bozo said, on June 11, 2022 at 4:54 pm

    ROY with an RBI.

  50. willedav said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:06 pm

    Estrada doing it all.

  51. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:15 pm

At the end of the inning, Kershaw was lobbying the umpire for a bigger strike zone. He’s all “Dude, I’m Kershaw! I want my big strike zone!”

  52. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:17 pm

Watching Rogers pitch is baseball torture.

  53. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:22 pm

The ump blew strike three against Bellinger. Umps blow the strike on that riser sometimes.

  54. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:25 pm

Lulz- the at’em ball! Out of the inning.

  55. willedav said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:39 pm

first 2 pitches OK but Kap asking Casali to try it with 2 strikes after 2 fails, no.

    • zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:41 pm

The worst bunt attempts I’ve ever seen from a major leaguer.

  56. Macdog said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:41 pm

Why was Casali still trying to bunt with 2 strikes?

  57. zumiee said, on June 11, 2022 at 5:42 pm

Ump blows a strike from Rogers to Betts. Adds to the torture.

  58. Macdog said, on June 11, 2022 at 6:22 pm

  59. Macdog said, on June 11, 2022 at 6:35 pm

At break before he came in, switched to Rangers game as Stamkos broke scoreless tie. Innocent looking shot that eluded Shesterkin.

Former Dodger Steve Sax’ son, Capt. John Sax, was one of the 5 Marines tragically killed in aircraft crash in SoCal a few days ago. https://abcnews.go.com/US/son-mlb-player-steve-sax-marines-killed-training/story?id=85334048
This damn Osprey aircraft has always been dangerous since the get go of its deployment years ago.
Capt. Sax leaves a pregnant wife and a toddler.
As a life long Giants fan, Sax’ being a former Dodger means nothing, we’re all Americans.
I wish condolences and best wishes to Steve and his family in this very tough time…
