A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Picture Day

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on June 18, 2022

ok I’ve been meaning to get to posting these but had to work through all the Dubs Drama first. MacDog send me some pics from the game today.

Here’s Blade’s family taking up the 3rd row behind home plate. I understand his mother is going through some serious physical issues right now so we wish her the best in that fight.

This is a pic of Blade and his cute daughter who I hear is picking her up right now in Vietnam and bringing her BACK to the States to live with him full time. Wow! That’s exciting, good luck my man.

And finally here’s a pic of Blade AND the great PaulinAsia who is fresh off ball sack surgery here and looking none the worse for wear!

wow great pics. Good luck, best health and safe travels for all above.
Dodgers now 4-6 in last 10 and seem little more vulnerable these days with health problems of their own.
As long as no bottom feeders help them out in trades…

wonder what next move (after retirement) is for Andre Iguodala. Shaun Livingston is in FO and saw pics posted by his Dad of him holding trophy. Coaching, even as an assistant, means lot of travel and is volatile position within any organization. Look what’s going on with teams whose season did not end well like Utah and Phoenix, even in Boston. Only 1 team wins it all, everyone else on outside looking in and wondering why.

    • unca_chuck said, on June 18, 2022 at 9:25 am

Iggy is someone I’m sure the team would love to keep around. Not sure how, but he’s an encyclopedia of basketball knowledge.

Very cool! Didn’t know Blade was bringing his daughter back permanently. How exciting!

And Paulie isn’t doubled over! No horseback riding in his near future though.

My daughter is flying to SF tomorrow for the parade…

    • Flavor said, on June 18, 2022 at 10:29 am

good for her. I’m 25 miles away and skipping it, lol. I dunno, parades just aren’t my jam

      • djloo27 said, on June 18, 2022 at 11:08 am

        I’m with you, Flavor.
I can’t stand parades – any of em.
Some are extra stupid. Take your pick.
I was working in a lower Manhattan office building in 1986 when the Mets had their victory parade.
I despised the Mets – although the many Met fans in the office were alright.
The boss said everyone in the department of 30+ people could go downstairs for it.
Me and my pal Jimmy Reilly (Cardinal fan) voluntarily stayed at our desks answering phones and trying to avoid looking out the windows at the sight of confetti and whatever other shit was raining down on Broadway…

And Paul looking good after your back surgery, no bungee jumping are extreme warrior sports for now, however some Vietnamese massages advisable to loosen up your back and sacks should be fine!

Take care Blade&Paul good health to both and that cutie pie of a daughter Blade!

Thank you fellas . . . The pandemic cost each of us something. I can’t imagine anyone was unscathed by it. For me, COVID-19 travel restrictions prevented me from visiting my daughter for almost 3 years. Words can’t even begin to describe how hurtful it was not being able to hug her or have my mom embrace her granddaughter again, especially after being diagnosed with cancer late last year.

Over, the last year or so, I was able to convince my Vietnamese in-laws to allow me to bring back my daughter Michele to the USA, citing all the potential educational and cultural opportunities available to her. However, the truth is that I brought my daughter back to the USA because I would have hated myself to not attempted to do so. It’s as simple as that.

I am 67 years old and this isn’t going to be freaking easy by a long shot. I would be lying to you if I said I was confident about the task ahead. It is daunting and I am humbled by everything that is in front of me. Thank you for letting me share.

Huh per Slush Giants just claimed C/1b Yermin Mercedes off waivers from ChiSox and DFA’d Papierski, who caught DeSclafani at Sac Thursday and homered himself. Mercedes optioned to Sac
Looked up other C there, Jhony Pereda. He’s hitting .256 with .630 OPS, and 0 HRs in 85 ABs.

  12. willedav said, on June 18, 2022 at 12:51 pm

Another huh–Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson won’t take Hornets head coaching job after all and will stay with GS.

What do you think of the park? I’ve always liked the layout, but I’m still partial to Oracle. It’s top 5 though I believe..

    • Macdog said, on June 18, 2022 at 3:48 pm

It’s very nice, not a bad seat here. Probably give view to Oracle, but this one’s cool too.

  40. willedav said, on June 18, 2022 at 4:55 pm

Might be last time Kap has his C as DH.
Slush says Wilmet is emergency backup C.

    • alleykat69 said, on June 18, 2022 at 4:59 pm

Yeah that was a dumb movi stating both your catchers..

  41. willedav said, on June 18, 2022 at 4:57 pm

30 pitches for Hembree to finish the 9th. 9 BBs for Pirates pitching staff.

lol pirate announcers just begging for a walk all inning. Pathetic. They knew those hitters didn’t stand a chance against that stuff.

  47. willedav said, on June 18, 2022 at 5:08 pm

Slush also said Luis Gonzalez caught in HS, but doesn’t have LH C mitt.
Didn’t Mike Squires of White Sox play some Catcher, as a lefty?

  48. alleykat69 said, on June 18, 2022 at 5:17 pm

Think Squires did Willie don’t see that everyday with a lefty catching. They mentioned Flores the emergency catcher are possibly Estrada glad they didn’t need that scenario!

Hey got another Series win and let’s get the Sweep while we’re at it!!

  49. alleykat69 said, on June 18, 2022 at 5:46 pm

Another possible dumpster dive move by Z that could pay some div.I’m shocked that Yermin Mercedes wasn’t claimed by another team.He can hit, and hit with power, hell last year he was player of the month once, supposed head case, but so was his manager LaRussa who had issues with him blasting a HR off a utility player in a blowout, so what?, Giants will straighten him out if need be,they have a tight fun group of players.
I see him coming up real soon just a hunch hell Casali is banged up another catcher are a possible DH candidate is not a bad thing..

  50. willedav said, on June 18, 2022 at 8:37 pm

Wonder about PNC park being more favorable to pitchers or hitters.
Pirates hitters having awful season. They are dead last in NL for: runs hits doubles BA (.218) OB SLG OPS, and 13th in HRs. So is it them, the yard or both? Flems I thought said RF was friendlier part of park for hitters, LF no.

  51. Macdog said, on June 19, 2022 at 1:16 pm

Goddamn, 3 HR game for this guy.
